I have been a patient of Dr. McCray for 17 years and love him. He and his staff has always been right there for me and I trust him implicitly. A lovely, lovely human being.

Doctor took his time getting to know about me and health history, as well as that if my family, during this initial visit. Never seemed rushed. Went over recommended vaccines/procedures appropriate for my age. Talked about options. Listened to my concerns. Seemed to truly care And spent as much time as needed to get through the exam. Immediate followup as soon as test results were available.

I cannot explain in words how this doctor has saved my life in so many ways. Although a patient for 10 years, five years ago i awoke sick and unable to walk. Many doctors would have given up the search for an answer but NOT doctor John Gregory McCray. He has stuck by my side, done constant research on my behalf. He listens without judgment and in a world of fast moving, quick to dismiss doctors, he takes all the Time you need to feel safe and understand what he is saying. His staff is top rate, kristian his medical assistant is immeasurable in helping not only keeping my spirts up but being a fantastic go between for me as well. His office manager Dominique is a wonderful listener as is Priscilla the receptionist. If you have ever felt belittled, dismissed or insulted I beg you to see Dr McCray because he will not only help you, but love you through it. With all honestly my husband and I, both being patients,would never have made it through these five awful years without him. I'm deeply indebted and grateful everyday he is my doctor. Dr McCray is always very attentative to any issue and takes the time to explain the posibilities of the issue in a way a non medical person will understand. The entire staff are always friendly and helpful. Glad this is my Dr.

I expect a lot from medical professional in terms of problem solving skills and engagement. Dr. McCray has been great to work with. Many of the physicians I've been to put so little effort into a diagnosis that I wouldn't trust them to work on my car, let alone my body. 5-stars from me takes some effort, but the whole staff earned it.

I recently was forced to get on Medicare and have to find a new PCP. I live in Bartonville and saw the wonderful reviews for this doctor so I thought he would be great. I have a Medicare advantage plan and Dr. McCray is listed as a provider who takes my insurance, however when I called to schedule an appointment I’m very quickly told they are not accepting new Medicare patients . Their website says they are accepting new patients, I guess they just don’t want to be bothered with Medicare patients. How can you discriminate like that?

Dr McCray is a very caring doctor that listens to his patients. He will take his time to discuss options and also informs of risk or side effects. He goes the extra mile when dealing with unusual cases such as my son’s. The only complaint is that sometimes the wait time can be a little long.

I have found my new doctor. I was SO impressed by how carefully he explained everything to me and how much time he took with me. He treats the whole patient and not just the isolated problem and does not use the “throw a pill at it” approach. I felt truly heard. He also has a great sense of humor which is a big deal to me.

Dr. McCray did not make my initial visit with him feel rushed at all, but took care to spend time familiarizing himself with my medical history. His staff made me feel very welcome, he had new solutions for my migraines, and he offers accessibility that is lacking in a lot of doctor-patient relationships.

Dr. McCray is a great guy and genuinely interested in his patients’ physical and mental health. He always spends plenty of time with me answering all my questions with great detail and knowledge. Dr McCray is probably the best PCP I have ever have the privileged to have as my Primary Care Physician. I have recommended him and his office staff several times. He is personable and nonjudgmental. Wait time was minimal and Dr. McCray takes plenty of time with you...didn't feel rushed through the visit at all. All the staff was friendly and competent as well.

I first met Dr. McCray back in 2016. I have never met another doctor so genuine and smart. He truly cares about your health and will do whatever it takes to make sure you get the care you need. 10/10. I’m blessed to have him as my doctor.
