Dr Beard is a good listener and she is very proficient in diagnosing and treating any illness that you may have.

Each time I visit Dr. Beard, she explains each step of a process we might follow, ensures that I am referred to excellent professionals and keeps track of the details of each of my visits. Her staff is caring , friendly and professional. Her appointments are kept on time and she is a pleasure to work with.

The visit was thorough. Dr. Beard is a patient listener. She and her staff give plenty of attention. They addressed my concerns.

Dr. Beard is no-nonsense, and spends a lot of time listening and asking lots of questions. She never jumps to a conclusion. I truly feel she has my health as a top priority and never rushes me through an appointment. She's willing to work together, WITH me, to address health concerns and put together a plan of action that makes sense, and that we are both comfortable with. An added bonus is that she has an extremely pleasant/nice personality.

I am so grateful that I found Dr. Beard when. I moved here a year ago. She understands and respects my input and just seems to get right to my problems. She is genuinely caring and senses what you are not saying. Very intuitive. Would highly recommend her to anyone.

Dr. Beard has helped me tremendously. She helped identify a problem, found the correct meds, and that alone has made a big difference in my life. She has also helped with other health issues and is a wonderful diagnostician. I am so grateful that she is my physician. Her staff is also wonderful!

The staff and Dr Beard has been extremely helpful. I have only Been going to Dr Beard for a year but she has met all my needs and treats you with respect.

I was brought in promptly by the nurse. She took my vitalsand said the doctor would be in shortly. Dr. Beard came in soon after that. We went over any concerns and then she examined me. Very happy with my visit.

Dr. Beard does not rush through my appointments, and she takes the time to really listen, which has lead to successful treatment of my health concerns. I'm very fortunate to have found such a practical, knowledgeable and empathetic physician. I highly recommend her.

Dr. Beard's office is run efficiently. She listened and gave me plenty of time and worked with my concerns. She is easy to work with.

I have been a patient of Dr. Beard For 10 years. I absolutely love her. She seems to diagnose correctly and do all the appropriate testing that needs to be done for me. She offers options, suggestions and many things that benefit my health. Hands-down I could not ask for a better provider for my family.

Dr. Valerie Beard took over my previous GP’s patients at Riverview Health years ago. At first I was a little nervous because I had been with my previous practitioner for many years and loved her! However after my first visit with Dr. Beard I knew everything was going to be all right. Dr. Beard is fabulous! myself and my children were very comfortable transitioning to her. My son now has a child of his own and has established Dr. Beard as his family’s primary care provider. I give Dr. Beard and her staff an A+!!! I have never felt more comfortable with a primary care physician than I do with Dr. Beard. She and her staff are always at the top of their game. Very easy to talk to. I hope I never have to switch physicians again. 5 stars to Dr. Beard and staff! Best of the best!!!

Dr. Beard was excellent with my medical issues and helped me with some stress related issues as well. She came up with a great plan for me to use to get back on the right track. I sensed that she cared about me as a person. We will be following up in a couple of months. In my view, she far exceeded what is normally expected on a routine check up! I left her office feeling hopeful about my future for the first time in approximately one year. I have sent some new patients her way and will do so again if the opportunity arises.

Absolutely fantastic! From the front office, to the nurse, to Dr. Beard ... all were extremely friendly and professional. I got in right at my appointment time which was the BEST! Very clean facility. HIGHLY recommend!

You won't be able to find a more competent, caring person to be your Principal Care Provider, and her entire staff resonates her persona and actions.

This was my first visit. She listened to my concerns and was very thorough. I wanted a doctor who listens and I got her. In addition, her location is much more convenient for me.

Dr. Beard is incredibly thoughtful and thorough! She always takes the time to listen to you fully and takes what you have to say seriously. She is the first person to refer out for anything that may be needed as she likes to make sure that ALL of your healthcare needs are met! She is never in a hurry and does not seem rushed at all! She is very caring overall!

Dr. Beard listens to you! So important in a primary care physician, she looks you directly in the eyes and genuinely listens. I didn't wait more than a few minutes and that has never been a problem.

Dr. Beard and staff have always been wonderful to our family. We moved away from Westfield, but still make the drive past all the other doctors.

Love Dr. Beard. She listens, works with you as a person to treat your ailments paying attention to side effects and how you also want to be treated medically. If she's taking new patients, you can't go wrong with her as your GP.

No leaving the exam room for shots and blood drawing, received results that afternoon, prescription drug was immediately called in and received in 4 days. Loved the office efficiency!!!

As new patient of Dr. Beards I have to say that every time I have a visit with her she seems to be on it. When I explain to her my concerns or ask questions she seem to be very knowledgeable about things and always gives me feedback whether it’s good or bad. Dr. Valerie Beard is by far one of the best doctors that I have encountered since my adulthood. I truly recommend this doctors.

I am finally at the age where I had to give up my life long children’s doctor and go to an adult doctor this was very upsetting and stressful for me as my other doctor knew me like a book. I went to the appointment with Dr. Beard nervous and upset and I left happy as a clown. I never thought I would like anyone the way I liked my previous doctor but Dr. Beard definitely changed my opinion after my visit. As an older couple, my husband and myself have had several doctors over the years. Dr. Beard is one of the best if not the best doctor we have had. She knows what she is doing in caring for us and she really cares for us as people. She and the whole office staff are so very kind and caring, making going to the doctor much less stressful for us.

I am new to Dr. Beard's office, but I am very pleased to have a compassionate qualified doctor like Dr. Valerie Beard. The office visits are always very pleasant and prompt. The receptionist and Dr. Beard's assistant (Clinton I believe) are all very friendly and professional.

My wife and I had our first appointment with Dr. Beard several week ago after having moved to the area from NE Ind. Absolutely positive, very professional, takes time to listen to you, never had the feeling she was trying to "hurry you" very, very pleased! Very glad my wife and I found her.

Male age 73. I was used to getting pills pushed and a test now and then. When Dr. Beard suggested a test I was hesitant and whinny. She looked me straight in the face and sternly said, "will you let me take care of you, you're 70 and I want to know what's going on inside you". She asks questions, listens, answers, best of all you understand when you leave. She has a staff that likes working with her, and you'll like going there. The results of tests are immediate, and health monitored.

Dr. Beard treats our entire family. She combines the level of smart, professional care one hopes for with a personable, easy and effective manner. Also, her office is very good with timely appointments and call backs. Having moved to the area about a year and a half ago we feel very blessed to have found this practice.

Dr. Beard is great! I'm a man and she is not but I'm happy to be going to her. She listens, she thinks beyond the obvious, she understands me and is not out to change me and my ways any more than is truly necessary to my long term health.

Absolutely LOVE Dr. Beard, she is a phenomenal doctor who is easy to talk to and ensures quick and efficient appointments without making you feel rushed. HOWEVER - I will never visit her office again due to the fact that she has incompetent staff. The staff at the front of her office are extremely impolite and off-putting. I have never felt more disrespected and uncomfortable in a Dr.'s office. They have no regard for the time of patients and lack business professionalism in language and action.

We love Dr. Beard! We changed to her after moving to Westfield! After taking my oldest daughter there, we decided to take the whole family there.

I feel very fortunate she's my doctor. She truly cares for her patients.

Dr. Beard is a great doctor and so nice. She is very patient with my dad. She answers his questions, and, if she doesn't know the answer, she will send him to somebody who would. If I didn't have a great doctor already, I would like Dr. Beard to be my doctor.

Very unfriendly, unprepared, and not thorough. At least the office staff was nice. Did I say unfriendly??
