He insisted I just had arthritis in both knees I begged him literally, on second visit, I said something s wrong I want an MRI I found him dismissive and arrogant and in a rush Finally, I got an MRI (he ordered it) complete tear of meniscus, grade 3, both knees He called that afternoon and told me , asked when to set up surgery, I replied “you are arrogant, wouldn’t listen to me, I would not let you cut me with a butter knife” Moved on to an excellent orthopedic surgeon in Madison, Dr Lemon or, Dr Anderson is great too! Both top notch orthopedic surgeons

For THREE visits from June until December I was told “you don’t need surgery” this isn’t my department, go to rheumatology, I did ALL that and more. I wanted an MRI of my knees. I knew something was way off as swelling and pain kept increasing. I was dismissed AGAIN by Dr Wells and condescended to. He doubted my pain. He even put that in his notes. I finally got an MRI. My insistence. I have Complete tear of the radial minuscus in BOTH knees. Now his nurse said he wants you to come in to discuss options. No way. I have sought out a different orthopedic surgeon. He is one of the most arrogant and assuming doctors I have ever met. Dr. Wells is very professional, compassionate and understanding. He has given me cortisone injections and they do not hurt and I have had 3 previous surgeries with excellent results. He is an excellent surgeon!!

Great surgeon. Great bedside manner. Checks in with you every day. Low swelling post surgery.

He did my carpul tunnel and trigger finger, was great! Also did multiple surgeries on my sister.

Very assuring, listened to me about my previous surgery at another hospital. Answered all my questions satisfactorily that I could understand. Staff was excellent too !!!!!

I have had 2 total knee replacement surgery’s performed by DR Wells. I have followed all directions and participated in Therapies. My surgery’s have gone extremely well. I have not had blood clots or any infection. DR Wells staff are very good at their job. They are very attentive and follow up with all concerns in a timely manner. I have had excellent care.

I did not know Dr. Wells before my hip replacement surgery due to arthritis. I choose him because of his last name. Later as I was telling others about whom I had chosen, I got nothing but positive reactions. During our pre-op appointments, he always seemed quiet yet confident. My surgery could not have gone any better as has my recovery. I am happy I had my surgery and that all the pain and issues of the previous months are just a memory. My prayer is to be able to resume my active life soon.

Worst surgen I ever delt with torn ACL refused to give any pain meds. Said there is zero chance for my body to reject alograft after surgery worst pain ever had previously alc done on other knee did nothing for pain said just rewrao the ace bandage ignored any of my concerns 2 months post knee is still double the size that's normal...no it's not can barley walk can't do any thing finally see another surgen blown away by his ignorance alc was rejected by my body at 4 months post it's completely dead tissue and already 40% broken apart and now have to go in for another ACL repair because of this joke of a dr Worst surgen I ever delt with torn ACL refused to give any pain meds. Previously had 3 knee and 3 shoulder surgries this is by far the worst experience in ever had gave me low dose Percocet for major knee surgery said if it's not enough call day of surgery wanted to do a pain block had it before hated it said I'd rather have something stronger for pain meds after then mess with a nerve sure that's fine called about the pain never got anything stronger than a low dose Percocet just told me to re wrap my ace bandage...... No take home post op advise on what to do

I am very happy with my recent right and left knee arthroplasties. Dr. Wells performed them approximately 4 months apart. I felt I was being cared for by a highly competent surgeon. He listened to any/all concerns, answered questions and personally looked into my concerns. I would highly recommend Dr. Timothy Wells to anyone seeking an orthopedic surgeon.
