We found Dr. Garcia in 2019. He was a blessing to our family from ABBA. Our 5th daughter whom is 5 now, had never slept through the night she was almost 2 when we found him. We had seen other Dr's who wouldn't listen and said nothing was wrong with my daughter it was my breast milk and I need to put her on formula. However, Dr. GARCIA listened to my concerns. He ordered tests. And our baby has celiac disease. She is allergic to dairy, beef, corn, soy. Etc. If I had listened to the other Dr's and given her formula it would've been so much worse for her. Our Elainna loves dr. Garcia and sometimes when she's sick she wants to see him so he can tell her she will be okay. She also says she wants to be a dr. Just like him. I highly recommend this office. I brought my children to Dr. Garcia prior to moving to the Sarasota area and I haven’t been able to find the same level of care since leaving. I still rave to other moms about Dr. Garcia because I am struggling to find something that feels comparable. When I explain why I loved our experience and Big Bend Pediatrics, I always say that Dr. Garcia was intensional with his care. Most other pediatricians I have met since being in Florida are nice but do not ask me any proactive questions about our life, history or ask if I have any specific concerns. They go through all the motions and look my kids over, but no probing questions. I personally think this is a really important part of providing whole, well rounded and proactive care. Been bringing my daughter here for the years now. I love the from desk people they're always nice and sweet. The wait times are long so knocked off a star. My Favorite part is the Dr. Dr. Garcia does not do those silly questions like "how much is your breastfed baby drinking?". he doesn't harass you with silly questions and bother you if your child is small but still growing right (has issues with prior Drs) he tracks their growth and development and tells you what you need to know. He also doesn't seem quick to prescribe medicine and calmed my first time mom fears very well in that first year.
