Never saw the Dr. So I can’t attest to his capabilities. The office staff however is horrible!!! I was left standing in the hallway waiting for an exam room. While there, I was listening to office staff talk about “low class people and how nobody wants to work around here” REALLY?? Needless to say, I got up outta there!!! You have been warned !!

I was very impressed with Dr. Sher and his entire staff. They all made me feel that I had come to the right place to get the best treatment. Dr. Sher has a wonderful personality and makes it very easy to follow his instructions. I am glad I found him and have total confidence in his care.

The entire team is thoughtful, courteous and very professional. The office staff (Shannon, Marlena and Angela) go above and beyond to make the visit a pleasant experience.

Had a great experience today. Nurse Janet M drew blood and gave me a shot painlessly. I found her to be knowledgeable professional and caring.

The support staff, both front office and back office were friendly, efficient and very professional. Well done ladies

This physician is nice and has decent bed side manner however you can not reach him when you have a problem via the office and the nurse is not helpful. After numerous calls and quite the runaround I had to get treated by GP because an infection spread before they would even follow up. I'm not sure what the point is in having a specialist if they don't treat you or respond when you need them. Update: As a result of leaving this comment, I received a letter in the mail that I would not be able to see anyone else in the practice either. So no, they aren't thankful I took the time and nobody ever took responsibility. The staff is extremely friendly, professional and most efficient. Excellent experience.

A well run and very welcoming office with Covid protocols in place. From scheduling an appointment; checking in at the office with Janet, receiving care/treatment from Dr. Sher or one of his staff and then checking out with Debbie and Cindy it is always a relaxing and comfortable experience.

I have been treating with Dr. Sher for the past 2 years and have always found Dr. Sher and his staff to be very professional, competent and empathetic. Today's treatment with nurse Janet Alisa and administrative staff Cindy and Debbie was no exception. I recommend them without reservation. RR

This review concerns an urgent request to Dr. Shers’ staff at The Oxford office to get me in.for HELP on Wednesday Feb 3 for Acute Urinary Retention. I was in DISTRESS. The reception desk staff (Amanda and Janet S.,) quickly understood my situation and summoned nurse Amber to evaluate.. Amber took control, calmed me down, and after a quick assessment, contacted on-call staff. Amber had quick approval to administer the treatment to drain a blockage post-haste. I fully gave whatever consent she asked for WITHOUT HESITATION. Following treatment, the staff made certain I understood the directions given and scheduled a follow up appointment and explained the procedures I should adhere to prior to an appointment scheduled for February 10. As a fairly healthy, active 70 year old, I RARELY require what I consider EMERGENCY treatment. Thank you all at AUI for your quick evaluation and timely treatment. Hopefully the follow-on evaluation leads to successful treatment and you all will not be bombarded again by me... Dr Sher is very thorough. He explained his findings and came up with a great healthcare plan for me. I would also like to thank the two ladies at check out that made this appointment possible. I had an administration paperwork issue that came up a day before my appointment. I have noticed changes when visiting Dr. Sher office and with this Covid experience it is very comforting. Starting with Janet welcoming me to the office from the Nurses all the way through the visit. I really appreciated the compassion that was shown. It shows Dr. Sher cares how his patients are treated. For years and or about 2004 I became a patient of Dr. Andrew Sher. During that period of time he has always given me great treatment and excellent advice for my teatmnet on prostate cancer. I am bless that I found Dr. Andrew Sher. Thanks from the bottom of my heart....I meanly go to the Leesburg Office for the follow up visits and there in that Office you could find a Crew of Nurses and receptionist that greet you with a Smile and make you feel relax and give you all the instructions or appointment in a gracious and happy manner. Had a blood test at Dr. Sher’s office in Leesburg, on Thursday, October 23, 2020. Shannon was the nurse who took care of me that morning, and as usual, did a Terrific Job! I am not the easiest patient to draw blood from, and Shannon always takes care of me, with minimum discomfort. The Leesburg Crew that works with Dr. Andrew Sher, which consists of Shannon, Marlena, Kim J and Crystal, made for a pleasurable experience from the moment I stepped through the door. I needed a blood draw done for my 6 month check. Getting stuck with a needle is my least favorite thing to do. Shannon did a fantastic job, stuck only once and didn't even feel it. Dr Sher goes above and beyond! I have been his patient for the past 6 months, and he has treated me for 2 conditions. One was an urgent situation of a urinary tract blockage. At my first visit, Dr Sher quickly diagnosed the issue and had me scheduled for surgery within 2 days. When bureaucracy threatened to postpone the surgery, he quickly stepped in, and got them to move ahead. He is extremely patient, and willing to take the time to answer your questions thoroughly. Dr Sher is an excellent Urologist. I transferred from a previous Urologist who did not have a good experience, and the difference was like night and day. Dr Sher is very competent, moves quickly to address issues, is an effective listener, and explains the options and recommendations thoroughly.

Excellent multiple consults. Takes the time necessary to answer all questions. Appreciate his professional views on comparative treatment courses based on my diagnosis. Highly recommended.

Yes, I would definitely recommend Dr. Sher. During my check up he found that I had bladder cancer. He did surgery, and completely removed two tumors. Nine months later, I am still cancer free. He is very friendly, knowledgeable, takes his time, and explains things thoroughly.

I had had an episode of gross hematuria and contacted Dr. Sher, my urologist. I came in for a CT scan last week , and today for a cystoscopy. From this procedure, Dr. Sher and his assistant Janet M. were able to see some growths on my bladder wall. He discussed with me the suspected meaning of these growths, and recommended a follow up procedure in the hospital to have them removed. Knowing that I had had 4 cardiac stents put in last summer, he wanted to get the approval from my cardiologist to temporarily stop my blood thinner prior to having this procedure. I found Dr. Sher extremely professional, and knowledgeable. His assistant had informed me in advance of the cystoscopy, exactly what was going to happen and what to expect. I highly recommend both Dr. Sher and Janet M.

He has a great bedside manner, and I feel he really listens to me, a very understanding doctor.

I really like Dr Sher and was impressed with his knowledge. But that office staff!! They are very impolite, unprofessional, and unorganized. The whole time I was waiting, The receptionist’s window was never closed and I could hear them discussing patient’s issues, etc. - so much for patient confidentiality. I hope that Dr Sher will address these issues with his staff. The 5 star rating is for Dr Sher - not the office staff.

If you want a doctor's office that doesn't care then this is the place for you. From Dr. Sher's nurse to the people who take your calls they are all just horrible people to deal with. It's so sad because Dr. Sher is a great doctor but his employees make you give up on him.

Great doctor and friendly, helpful staff.

Dr. Sher did a amazing job explaining the procedure, and made sure I was well educated in what to expect following it. He also personally called me with the results, for which I was very grateful. That being said, his staff is not very polite, or professional (at one point they actually hung up on my wife while she was attempting to make my next appointment). The lack communication skills among themselves, make them seem extremely unorganized. His staff is the only reason I'm given a low score.

I am not one to complain, however, I am very concerned about the "nursing staff" at the Leesburg office and their lack of experience, professionalism, friendliness, and compassion, not to mention the lack of sanitary precautions taken in the procedure room! It's quite unsettling to walk into the room where the procedure chair was not cleaned up after the last patient!! Come on doctors...don't let the inexperienced ruin your reputation and business you worked so hard for!
