The doctor had me on a medication for a very long time which caused me to have extreme adverse side effects it is now written in my medical chart thanks to my M.D. as an adverse reaction to a specific medication this doctor refused to take me off of for 3 years while I was experiencing headaches on a daily basis and gained massive amounts of weight. All he would suggest during my appointments with him at Walworth county health and human services where he is the director currently was saying how I should walk in a swimming pool at the YMCA 20 miles from where I lived when I did not have a car because it would be easier on my knees I was 448 lbs because of this man. when I originally started seeing him I was 290 lb and I'm 6'4 so I wasn't fat when I started seeing him. I nearly went blind in my right eye as a result of the medication as well as having the possibility of going blind earlier in life when I get to be an old man as a result of Dr. Ortell's incompetence and negligence. Avoid him like the plague
