Dr. Robert P. Dolan

Rude, cold, dismissive and condescending. Poor bedside manners and would not make eye contact. One of the worst physicians I’ve ever met. Stay away.

Very disappointed in how I was treated. Horrible bed side manners, super abrasive and made me feel like I had no business being there. Dismissed my symptoms and concerns and even joked with some tech in front of my face about my private medical complaint. Heard him and other staff laughing outside the room about all the work-up he ordered, saying “you think I covered it all?” Even rudely said at one point “a gastroenterologist is not going to be your primary care physician” when I was clearly there and worried about GI specific issues. Will not ever go back.

This doctor is a disgrace. He needs his license taken away, my mother saw him explained how she couldn’t eat or drink and swallow and he said it was no big deal. He allowed this to go on for over a month! Turns out she has cancer and she almost lost her life due to his negligence. He was so rude to my mother for one and told her he has many patients who can’t eat due to their conditions and it’s no big deal. He has no care for his patients and If I can save somebody from being In this doctors care with my review I hope I can. Please report this doctor if you have had the same treatment. He needs a different profession. He’s the most rude unkind negligent doctor I have ever encountered.

Dr. Dolan was a nice enough guy, but he wasn't my type of doctor. He was rushed, seemed in a hurry. Told me little about my condition; I had to ask questions to learn almost anything. I had to call him back to the examining room to answer more questions that came up in the 5 minutes after he left. He seemed very competent but not someone who enjoyed talking to me. He did answer all questions, but the problem was that more questions came up after he left. He did give me literature to read about my condition.

My recent colonoscopy (my third from Dr. Dolan) at the Lakewood facility was as good an experience as one could hope for from this type of procedure. The nursing staff was very friendly and professional and Dr. Dolan spent time, prior to and after the procedure, to answer any questions that I had and to explain the results. I'll be back again in five years.

After I received my records I found error after error. Supposedly I can't get them fixed.

This doctor is not interested in your concerns. He is cold, dismissive, demeaning, and won't answer your questions with anything more than "Medicine is an art."

Mine was a well coordinated, professional and friendly experience with a detailed analysis of my procedure; detailing also a profile of how best to maintain a better physical approach to continuing good health. I cannot emphasize enough how delighted I am to recognize and recommend the services of this physician and his good offices.

I have been with Dr. Dolan since the late 90’s. He is very thorough, experienced and knowledgeable. He listens and explains in a very understanding way. He is very efficient and timely with his procedures. My husband and I are both Medicare patients now and hope we can always see Dr Dolan!

I found Dr. Dolan to be dismissive, has poor eye contact, didn't seem to want to listen to what I had to say and didn't even tell me what the next steps were when he was finished.

Dr Dolan took excellent care of me when I was in the hospital. He has a tremendous bed side manner as well. Thank you Dr Dolan.

Great doctor. Was very helpful.

The first time I saw Dolan he was ok, but he was a little too jokey and fun, and I got the sense he didn't listen to everything I had to say based on the questions he asked after I told him my symptoms. After many tests and during my second actual appt with him, he changed his tune: he was dismissive and rude and told me that nobody ever dies from pain. I will never go to see this man again; I am returning to my previous wonderful dr from the town I lived in previously.

Dr. Dolan is outstanding! He has a great manner about his work. Everything went just as he explained. His temperament and confidence eased my feelings. The lady who came to pick me up was so impressed that she said she will only have her procedure done by Dr. Dolan. I highly recommend him to everyone.

Dolan does not take the time to talk over and explain things to patients. He pushes more and more drugs without weighing options.

I found Dr. Dolan to be very kind and gentle. He actually LISTENED to me and my concerns, and thoroughly and patiently answered my questions. He also has a sense of humor, which I very much appreciate.

I recently received a colonoscopy from Dr. Dolan. I was asked to signed a consent form seconds before I was put under. I felt that he could have provided me with the form and information before getting to the procedure room. I did not feel I had the proper time (or my glasses) to understand what I was asked to sign. This signing under duress situation could be avoided, and I did report this to his staff. No action has been taken as my wife just experienced the same treatment.
