Dr. Puzio is hands down the best eye doctor I have ever seen! I don't believe I have ever had such a thorough eye exam in my life and he was able to determine the bifocals I had been wearing weren't even close to the prescription I should have had. Dr. Puzio has been my eye doctor for years. He is super knowledgeable with a great (funny!) bedside manner. He even takes care of my daughter (5), and son (8). They love him as well! I always get the most affordable contact lenses from him, as well as glasses, and most recently, sunglasses. His selection is really unique. I went to see Dr. Puzio last week for the first time and was extremely pleased with how it went. He was very helpful and was able to notice a health-related concern while examining my eyes. I had never been aware of this and he explained ways to help improve this going forward. He also took the time to teach me how to put my new contacts in + out until I was able to myself. Dr puzzio made glasses for me and I complained that I could not see clearly so a year later he remade them and I still told him I couldn't see clearly so he held up a prescription bottle 3 in from my face and I was able to read that but I was not able to read a distance to the TV set. Dr. Puzio literally changed my life for the better! Only Dr. that could figure out why my eyesight was so “off” AND fix the problem. First time I could see correctly, I cried! He created lenses that worked with my unique eyes. Been a patient for almost 30 years. Won’t go anywhere else!

I was asked to personally post this review for a dear patient of mine, Claire. Claire has been a patient of mine for several years and most recently had cataract surgery and wanted to share her story.... My name is Claire S., I’m an elderly patient of Dr. Puzio’s. I wanted to share a very special story about him and his integrity and going way beyond his duties to care for another, let alone a patient. I was so hesitant, nervous and scared to have my well-developed cataracts removed for the last several years. So much so that I cancelled my first prearranged appointments to do so. The appointments to have my cataracts removed were personally arranged by Dr. Puzio and the surgical coordinator of the facility so I didn’t have to. Dr. Puzio knew of my anxiety and anxiousness about the surgeries which caused me to cancel in the first place. Dr. Puzio called me and asked if I could come into his office and discussed the possibility of having my medications changed which might have a more positive outcome than the current medications prescribed by my primary doctor. After our discussions Dr. Puzio asked for my approval to call my Primary Care doctor to discuss changes in my medications that would calm me enough to get me through the procedures. I believed in him and his guidance and my medications were changed by my PCP upon his recommendations. After, about a month on the new medication. I was calm enough to go through with the operations. And, my quality of life has greatly improved as well. Dr. Puzio called the surgical coordinator and rescheduled all my surgeries personally once again, what a dear patient man. The day of my first cataract surgery Dr. Puzio drove to my home, because I live alone, and he picked me up and drove me to the facility. He sat with me pre and post-surgery and waved to me before I was escorted into the operating room. Dr. Puzio even attended the surgery, keeping me calm and letting me know the whole time I wasn’t alone. My second eye was scheduled and Dr. Puzio again personally drove to my home, helped me into his vehicle, and then drove me to my operation. I was honored to have him attended my surgical procedure once again. How does someone thank another for their kindness? No words can describe the gratefulness and gratitude that I have for this doctor. He has never asked for anything in return. I grew up in the generation of sending letters, that was our forum of communicating and this whole internet thing is new so I asked Dr. Puzio to share my words. I felt compelled to write about my experience with this gentle-man, an advocate for others in this harsh judgmental society. You’re not faceless nor nameless if you’re lucky enough to a patient of Dr. Puzio. Literally the best optometrist I have ever had. I have been seeing eye professionals for 33 years, never have I had better vision and been treated as thoroughly and professionally. His focus on my specific visual issues and investigating my vision has led to the best sight I have ever had. He addressed things other doctors never considered. I can not recommend him enough. Additionally, after having issues with my insurance provider (Davis Vision) Dr. Puzio supported me and my claim needs completely, going well above what was required of him. Not only a great doctor, but an honest and good person. Finally, he is really funny and good natured. In short, go to him. Literally the best optometrist I have ever had. Excellent experience. Was very thorough and educated me on the testing he was doing and the implications. I also got new frames and he was excellent at helping me choose the right frames for me. Highly recommended.

My nine year old daughter has struggled in school, particularly reading, and was put into a special education program in January of 2016. A few months later, we went to Dr. Puzio, for a routine eye exam. Dr. Puzio had never met my family before, but he immediately noticed that my daughter tilted her head. He asked her why she tilted her head, if she was tires easily and if she get a lot of headaches. Dr. Puzio then asked me if she had any difficulties in school. I explained that it was thought that she was dyslexic and she had recently entered a special ed program. Dr. Puzio conducted a thorough exam and found that my daughter is far sighted, has astigmatism and suffers from accommodative insufficiency (AI) and that her learning difficulties likely stem from these vision disorders. I am happy to say that my daughter had reached 80-90% of the learning goals by the end of third grade! These are goals that were set to be met by 2017! She no longer falls asleep in class and is headache free! Her self-esteem has increased and she is once again enjoying reading and playing sports! Thank you Dr. Puzio for recognizing the signs of AI of my daughter and for providing her with the tools to rebuild her self confidence. We were referred to Dr. Puzio, who from the beginning, proved that he truly cared to understand my daughters particular situation. For the first time ever, my daughter was able to see 20/20. I have been going to Dr. Puzio for 11 years and now my husband and daughter go to him too. He has been an incredible healthcare professional and really takes great care of us! He takes his time and really treats me like I am the most important patient he has (even though I know lots of people see him). I love the personalized service we receive and am THRILLED that we have access to such great care in our community. Ever since then he has been my eye doc and I could not be happier! He's incredible, down to earth, makes you feel comfortable. My family and I have been going to Dr. Puzio now for 4 years and have been more than happy with his attention to detail and over all caring nature for everyone of his patients. Anyone who knows him and uses him knows, that Dr. Puzio never keeps you waiting and is always very accommodating. Two years ago my youngest daughter had a really bad eye infection on top of a scratched cornea, which nearly cost her, her vision. Thanks to Dr. Puzio's immediate attention and connection with eye specialty Doctors in the area, he was able to get me an appointment the same day. My whole family (wife, two kids, and I) all have been going to Dr. Puzio for about 10 years. It has always been a great experience to have eye check-ups and order new glasses with him. His office and exam room are are very comfortable and set up in a unique and casual style - not at all the sterile furnishings of many medical offices. As I was driving to my appointment with Dr. Puzio, I calculated that I've been going to him for about 22 years. Dr. Puzio is very knowledgeable in handling my specific eye condition. I appreciate the fact he personally handles the eye glass fitting. Though I have used other optometrists a couple of times over the years for insurance reasons, I've received better treatment and more personal service with Dr. Puzio.
