Dr. Peter L Menger

I had two cataract extractions done by Dr. Menger. I was treated as I would want to be treated. He was patient and answered all my questions. I think he is a top flight ophthalmologist and surgeon. He also has a great sense of humor which offsets any tension in the patient. He’s so good I wish I had more eyes to do. I highly recommend Dr. Menger.

The best doctor ever! I only wish all my doctors were this caring and knowledgeable. I have high pressure in my eyes for as long as i could remember.Never under control.Since going to Dr Menger my pressure is normal.He doesn't make big deals out of small things.My wife and I are fans.Go to him you won't be sorry.His office staff is great too.He has a Queens location as well. Doctor Menger is an excellent doctor

after Getting script from doctor was sent across street to eyeglasses store. Two weeks later picked up glasses and had blurry vision looking from distance. Was sent back for a new script and was treated like I was lying or I made the mistake. The eye doctor insisted the original script was correct although seeing from a distance was blurry. I see perfect with my old glasses from distance. Why would I complain if there was not a problem. Plus they wanted to charge me for this second test not nice. When I left I was very upset. Worst doctor ever. Saw Dr. Menger for bleeding in back of eyes from a head trauma. I had no vision issue at the time. I was told I need aggressive emergency laser to stop the bleeding after 8 visits for laser per eye I was told there was nothing else he could do for me and would need a retinal specialist. I was having trouble with my vision and was told it was due to the laser and would get better. WRONG!!! It was due to the aggressive treatment. I lost vision in one eye 70% other eye. thankyou

In my opinion, Dr Menger is the only surgeon to go to for Cataract Surgery. He is extremely professional, skillful, and yet his casual personality immediately puts you at ease. Of my many doctors, he is one of the few I trust completely! He answers any questions that you may have accurately and fully. For Long Island patients he operates at the Winthrop Outpatient Center on Eastgate & Zeckendorf Boulevards, a modern & state of the art facility, easy to get to and with a large parking lot.

If you like waiting an hour an a half past your scheduled appointment in a waiting room that smells like a neglected nursing home this is the doctor for you. With no end in sight I left before being seen.
