Neil A Zolkind

I’m not sure where negative reviews are coming from, he is an excellent doctor. I really feel like he saved my life - not for me - but for my family. He is very thorough, incredibly insightful. I am grateful for my experience with him.

I thought he was sensible, thorough and thoughtful.

OMG. She just did h same thing to me when I called to inquire about what insurance they take. I have Empire plan/Blue Cross Blue Shield. She told me that were two different companies and proceeded to be very nasty. When I mentioned it to her she didn’t seem to care and said OK. If the doctor is having that type of person I would stay away. What a shame I would give a zero to office staff if it was possible. Can’t get to the doctor if you have a rude receptionist. Who would want to go there?

Called to inquire if the DR takes my insurance.....BC/BS and Empire..the receptionist was SO rude...talking down to me..and worse yet didn’t seem to care when I mentioned it, If this is who is running his office , that’s scary. Wouldn’t make an appointment here.

i just read this review on www.vitals.com and I completely agree: " The receptionist JOY, is the nastiest most disgusting person I’ve ever dealt with. She should not be allowed to work in this field." She is the reason I WILL NEVER visit this office or send my patients there.

Excellent doctor. Very good listener, kind, detail oriented and very seasoned with years of experience. Strongly recommend him.

I had an intake with Dr. Zolkind this past week. After completing my intake, Dr. Zolkind said he did not have the kind of availability for me as a patient since he will be traveling the next two months. I do not understand why a Dr. would put a patient through an intake to only deny their services. It was so rude. I would not waste your time on Dr. Zolkind if you are looking for a new doctor.

Doctor Zolkin is a very caring psychiatrist, however he doesn’t have an inherent understanding of the medication he prescribes. He’s a good psychiatrist, if you have a medication that works for you and just need someone to keep prescribing you what you're on. I had several pretty big problems with the meds (Adderall) he prescribed me. I mentioned it to him multiple times, he didn’t do anything about it; didn’t even make note of it. So surprised this man has any degree at all, let alone in psychology. About my social anxiety: "If you can talk to me now, why can't you talk in front of a crowd?" Great advice, thanks....
