I find that the staff at Jefferson County Human Services, will help in every way possible. I have witnessed it over and over. Sensitive people with good hearted ambitions work to help whenever it's possible.

If you don’t want to see a therapist there, don’t go to Dr. Haggart, they made it seem like it was okay at first, so I thought nothing of it, they said nothing, then he dropped me out of nowhere, make sure you either work with them or they have resources for you when you transition.

They do great work, and help a lot of strays and lost pets. They’ve grown and advanced their adoption mission and teach classes about pets. Great organization!

Before JCHS I had been seen at UW, and even at a Suboxone Dr on Gammon Rd that was arrested for soliciting/blackmailing his patients. I have always been a compliant patient and so I never really have much trouble but I have had the privilege of working with a few psychiatrists in my day and hands down Dr Haggart is the best. His knowledge of medicine and even homeopathic such as CBD oil and supplements is an added bonus. If he doesn’t know he learns and has never let me down. It’s truly a gift to be able to work with the staff at JCHS. So long as you fly straight and give it your best you will never have problems here. They are educated, compassionate and self aware. I wouldn’t want to be anywhere else. Their years in the recovery circuit have NOT hardened them, that is what I love most about them. Dr. Melvin Haggart is a doctor who's answer to everything is more medication. I made a standard 40 minute appointment with him while in crisis and all he did was pull out the script pad. Incidentally, the medication he put me on knocked me out and i broke all ribs on left side. His answer was to keep taking them. Then would not give advise or talk about the crisis i was facing. He gave me 5 minutes of his time then walked out. This is unacceptable.. i paid for 40 minutes. Also, my friend was going to commit suicide. He went to this doctor for help but the doctor didn't see him. On paperwork he made it look official but i was there and Haggart refused to see him. This man has no regard for the oath he took to jelp people in need. He is a crabby old man who ABSOLUTELY cannot run a pop machine let alone a pdychiatric hospital. I have made complaints with the state licensing board. Still waiting to hear back. If possible stay away from this place. More people kill themselves in his care than should be. This is notice to the stste of Wisconsin. Get rid of this ads before more people die. Dooesnt anybody check for quality control? Whosever job that is is seriously guilty of derelection of duty. This is the worst place to get steady professional help. Highly recommend considering ending your suffering before going here. Was looking for a Subboxin doctor near me, I live in Walworth county and there the closest doctor for that medicine, that takes my insurance but when I called they said they only take patients that live in Jefferson County. So I'm sorry but that just doesn't make sense, so now I don't know what to do. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME UNLESS YOU LIVE IN JEFFERSON COUNTY! Dr. Haggart helped me to get my life back. I would recommend him to any and every one!!

My girl tried getting in there. On disability no meds and they said she has to wait....peoblem is they cant wait forever to get medical help. Waste of time. Intake is heartless!

Very understanding, calm,really listened to me. Caring, patient, very knowledgeable. Very trustworthy.
