Dr. Martin R Romero

My 96-year-old mother was take to McLaren Hospital by ambulance just one week before her 78th wedding anniversary. Not knowing what was happening, we worried she might not see it. When Dr. Romero walked into the room, he looked at her and smiled. He told her what he thought the problem was, and other things it could be, and explained the tests he was going to have done. He said he hoped it would be that she would ‘t need to stay in the hospital. He came back a few hours later, smile on his face, and explained how there was nothing in the tests that showed what the problem might be, and answered our questions. He was compassionate and thoughtful. We were worried about losing her, and he was reassuring and wonderful. I love how he showed her respect. Respecting the elderly is something lacking in today’s society. Dr. Romero went above and beyond.
