Dr. Mark Wallace Smith

My 93 year old grandmother used to get her dental work done with Dr. Smith. Realizing dental insurance was costing her more than just paying out of pocket she let him know she'd like to make that change for future appointments. Following her appointment she went to schedule her next cleaning. As she stood there waiting Dr. Smith told the receptionist 'Don't bother'. As he walked away the receptionist called after him to clarify, 'You no longer want to treat this patient?' 'No'. Dropping a patient in this manner is incredibly unprofessional and disrespectful. I don't know if it was because of her age or because he would be making less money off of her appointments but this kind of behavior towards any patient is unacceptable. Been coming for years and would not anywhere else. I ignored my teeth for years and Dr. Smith gave me a stern warning about it and sense I have been talking care of my teeth. Taking care of my teeth has snowballed into me taking better care of my whole body.

I dont live in edinburgh. But its most certainly worth the drive i make to keep the smile Mr. smith gives me. His staff are nice to be involved with while at appts. I highly recommend to anyone needing a dentist this will be your place to go. Thanks Sarah

Absolutely taken aback by the wonderful care I received here. A very thorough exam for a second opinion on work another dentist had recommended. They performed a thorough exam to evaluate what had been recommended and gave their honest feedback on the situation. Everyone was so kind and for the first time in a long time I didnt feel like another number walking through. They actually cared about my health and wellbeing and gave honest recommendations. I work in the same building with chiropractic office. I had to see Dr Smith yesterday due to tooth pain. Dr Smith is so kind and thorough with his examination. I love the small town environment, the staff was amazing and helpful and he figured out quickly what was causing my tooth pain and he personally got on the phone and scheduled me promptly with a Endodontic specialist. I have been to one dentist my entire life and it has been Dr. Smith. I cannot imagine going anywhere else. I do not live in Edinburgh and I make the drive every time. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Dr. Smith genuinely cares about his patients and as nice of a person as I have ever met. I have been a patient of Dr. Smith for over 20 years. His office staff is professional and kind, everything is immaculate. He is thorough and invested in the well-being of his patients. I no longer live near his office, but I continue to drive an hour each way for my checkups and any other work I need. First time in the office yesterday, I have had a lot of dentists in my lifetime, but this practice was truly my favorite. The office staff was the nicest you could possibly imagine, the dental hygienist was very personable but very good at her cleaning. Just when I didn’t think things could get any better, I got to meet Dr. Smith. He was thorough, the nicest sweetest dentist I have ever experienced. I feel so fortunate to have had Dr Smith as my dentist for the last 20 years. Two years ago I moved to a new city but still drive over 20 miles one way to visit him twice a year! Dr. Smith is the best!

Have been going to Dr. Smith's office for over 25 years. I can only offer totally positive comments because there has never been a negative experience for me. The service is not only professional and affordable, it is personal, compassionate and always spot on. As an example, I have never been asked, "what is the reason for your visit today" when the doctor comes into the office. He knows why I am there and gets right on the problem. Seemed more worried about making money, than fixing my problem. I needed a simple diagnosis, to which he couldn't provide. He recommended having a tooth extracted or root canaled, without knowing if it was infected or not. I'll be using Trafalgar from this point on.
