Dr. Marilena Mirica

My father was under Dr. Marilena Marica's care at St. Catherine's hospital for the treatment of Covid and Pneumonia. While under her care she refused to order a urinalysis to attribute cause of his confusion to it and rule it out given his history of bladder cancer and frequent UTIs. She stated if he had a UTI the antibiotics being given to him for pneumonia would address it and that she didn't have time to address his other health issues and that his confusion was hospital delirium and discharged him severely dehydrated, malnourished with nearly black urine and in septic shock. His discharge did not include any home care and we had to immediately take him to another hospital as his O2 dropped to 70. He was treated at the second hospital for septic shock and did not survive. We believe my father didn't have to die had Dr. Mirica addressed our families concerns for a UTI and treated him properly. Her excuse that she couldn't get a sterile sample from him is unacceptable and disgraceful.
