Dr. Marcus Darnell Smith SR.

I received a Collection Agency notification 3 1/2 years after a hospital stay from Capital Accounts. I did not see Dr. Smith and he is not listed anywhere on my visit summary as an attending physician or a consulting physician although the hospital issued a Return to Work statement under his name (without signature). I have never received a bill from Dr. Smith either directly or via my insurance. Dr. Smith's phone is disconnected and hospitals listed as 'associated' with Dr. Smith that I have contacted have no information on his whereabouts, or contact information.

My husband went to the ER with an infection around the biliary tube. It was bad, green in color. Normally, Methodist Woodlands has him transported to The Medical Center in Houston, when there is a problem that had to do with the liver. For whatever reason he was not transported. My husband was in the hospital for 2 days & this Dr Smith was attending doctor. The nurse left a message to doctor Smith that I needed to talk with him. He NEVER CALLED me! My husband was in a altered mental state & couldn't give me any info about himself. My husband was sent home with a MUCH WORSE infection. He had a bandage around his biliary tube, I changed it out immediately & it was a slimy gross green, all over the bandage. I cannot believe anyone would send a person home with a HORRIBLE Infection like this. I had to get my husband into another medical center where he is now receiving IV antibiotics. I had several nurses comment that they couldn't believe a doctor would do this!!! I agree & I think this so called doctor should find another profession that has nothing to do with people's lives!!!! I thought I was the only one! I just got a call last week from bill collector (Capital Accounts-Nashville, TN) for the exact same thing, 2 1/2 years after being in Methodist Hospital, Woodlands. I called his office several times after I received bill, trying to get him to file with Insurance- no response. I never received another bill from him, so I thought it was taken care of. I have tried to reach out to Dr. Smith again without success. I'm being threatened with bad debt going on my credit. This is not acceptable! Dr. Smith is a nice man and has good bed side manner, but did he not show up in my room much. It took a while for him to discharge me from hospital.

This doctor billed me after a visit to St Lukes Hospital. He billed me without bothering to run his expenses through my insurance policy on file. I asked his office to please run it through my insurance after receiving bill for the full amount. And now I am receiving a notice from a debt collector. Use this Doctor at your own peril.

This doctor billed me for a visit when I was in the hospital without using my insurance on file . I called his office asking for my insurance to be used, and now I am dealing with bill collectors. Use this doctor at your own peril.

This Doctor refuses to use my insurance on file for an emergency visit at St. Lukes and has now turned my bill over to bill collectors. Use this doctor ay your own peril. Mark Bowen

I was admitted at St Luke's hospital the woodlands. Dr Smith provide excellent care in a timely fashion . I love dr smith
