I had labral tears in my left hip repaired in December 2021. I also had a similar procedure in January 2019. The first one was more serious and took longer to recover, but this time I was able to PRE-hab much harder and the result has been a much faster recovery. Amazingly I have not needed any pain meds either time. I've also had multiple knee surgeries at a local hospital and they went fine, but the level of care at Steadman Clinic with Dr. Philippon and his crew is just amazing. I would love to put a review of every staff member on here and thank them individually, but I'm afraid I would miss someone. Not one of them stands out because they are all TOP NOTCH. Dr. Philippon did a labral revision surgery on my hip this past June, and I have had such a great experience with him and his team. Dr. P and his whole team are extremely knowledgeable and thorough. They always gave clear explanations and instructions, and they were extremely good at staying in touch throughout the rehabilitation process. When I hit bumps in the recovery process, him and his team was very quick to respond and provide direction on how to get my recovery back on track. I have to get a labral repair on my other hip next year and I will absolutely be returning to Dr. Philippon for that! I went to Dr Philippon to fix FAI issues I had been dealing with for over a year a half in my right hip. I found the experience to be FANTASTIC. Dr Philippon's staff was top notch. Dr P and his entire team are top notch. They took care of me every step of the way and every single member of his team even the PT assistants are fantastic. Everything is so smoothly run and everyone is always on the ball. Dr Philippon is truly an artist and does impeccable work.

The Steadman Clinic, Dr. Philippon, Dr. Clanton and all the staff have always treated me and my family with top notch care and respect. Highly recommend all of them and this facility to anyone looking for the best orthopedic care. I travel from Houston and will continue to do so.

Hip surgery made things worse, not better. When I talked about my difficulties, I was told that I needed unrelated surgeries to my leg. When I went to get a second opinion I was told that I didn't need the additional surgeries that were recommended. Funny, all of my calls were answered before surgery but after surgery, when things were not going positively, the doctor didn't have time for me and his staff demonstrated an obvious lack of concern. Eventually, I went somewhere else because I didn't fit with their surgical outcome results. Sad, if the surgery goes great they are there for you with smiles. I want a doctor who is there for you regardless and if something goes wrong, he or she will do whatever is necessary to make things right. Two hip surgeries, very satisfied with Dr. Philippon and his team both times!!!! Best medical care I've ever received.

Took a long time to receive an appointment. After making special trip to Vail Colorado for the appointment, I waited 4 hours to see him. I should have walked out at that moment. My time is just as valuable. I scheduled and had surgery. , I followed all the protocols and stayed in Vail for 4 months of PT. I began having problems with my hip and tried to get follow up appointments. Each time I went for an appointment, I only saw his nurse and fellows. On follow up visit a year after surgery, I made another trip to Vail. Dr. Philippon sent his nurse to see me because he was too busy. What a surprise. Never saw him even once after surgery. He and his clinic offer a lot of hype. Find another doctor who performs this speciality hip surgery and has time for his patients.

I am an Orthopaedic Surgeon in the midwest. I knew and know Dr Phillippon to be the best in the world at what he does. When a family member had a labral tear I unhesitatingly took her to him for treatment. She required several operations on both hips over several years. She did very well, went on to play college sports and now five years later has never had any pain or loss of function. He is also compassionate and a gentleman. His clinic provides personalized care and his staff is excellent. I refer patients to him regularly and all have done well. I am forever grateful to him. I am an Orthopaedic Surgeon in the midwest. I am an Orthopaedic Surgeon in the midwest who took a family member to Dr Phillippon. He is the best in the world at what he does. I would not have considered having anyone else treat her. She required several operations on both hips. She did very well, played college sports, and now five years later has never had any pain. He is also a gentleman and their clinic is a welcome respite from assembly line medical care. All patients I have referred to him have done well.

I just can't say enough good things about Dr. Philippon, his team, and the after care I recieved in getting my hip repaired (NOT replaced! Who wants that in their early 30s?!?). My experience is similar to the other positive reviews.

Phenomenal care and aftercare. When other doctors say no, they can fix you! Dr Philippon saved me from depression. It was an honor and a blessing to be treated by Dr. Philippon and his team.

After years of Chronic pain, one failed surgery, appointments with countless therapists and chiropractors, hundreds of wasted hours and dollars trying to get better, it was Dr. Philippon and his team that allowed me to return to a more normal life. This office provided top notch service for my labrum tear repair. Three orthopedic surgeons along the front range wanted to provide me with a total hip replacement. Dr. Phillipon said it just needed to be repaired with osteoplasty to remove excess bone that were causing impingements. The surgery was a success! What I am truly grateful for though is the entire experience that the office and physical therapy team provided. Thorough, professional, efforts well in place to set each patient up for success after their surgery. I am very grateful to this TEAM! My review of The Steadman Clinic, Dr. Philippon specifically, and his entire team is overdue. I have wanted to express my gratitude for a long time but have struggled to figure out the words to express the depth of my gratitude for the care I received and the compassion and kindness of everyone that helped and treated me. The clinic is well run with a seamless patient tracking system and onsite resources like the MRI providing immediate feedback for the physicians. The facilities are modern and it is clear technology is hard at work. They focus on today's problems and solutions; tomorrow's possibilities via the incredible research they are doing; and they also seem to be eager to bring experts together in things like their hip symposium. Probably for most patients a lot of this is behind the scenes but this is a hotspot for progress. My experience was long and took a commitment to presurgery strengthening, travel, and emotional/mental stamina. But someone was there the entire way. Mark especially stayed with me during questions about the prehab and the post surgical rehab. This is serious business and I am blessed to have been accepted as a patient and to have had the help I received. Dr. Philippon especially is not only such an expert, he is also the kindest person you could ever meet. I feel he is especially unique in that he has an eye for today (and also has unmatched surgical expertise), but he also clearly has the creative intuitive piece that moves medicine ahead. Dr. Philippon has and continues to see solutions that others had not seen, and then he brings it together with new surgical tools for the toolbox and just new ways of looking at old problems. As a person he is also just the nicest guy you will ever meet. The world of seeking help from experts can be hard on a patient and it can beat you down mentally. It isn't often someone at his level can be so approachable and kind. Everyone from start to finish at this clinic is one of a kind. I had both of my hips done here by Dr. Philippon and my mom is currently in surgery getting hers done too. This hospital is amazing and everyone who works here is so kind. They provide top notch care for any patient and are the most genuine people. I have complete trust in any Orthopedic surgeon here at the Steadman Clinic and will come here if I ever need any other surgeries. Love this place, it’s like a third home lol. The genius label is overused. But it was not my wife and I who said it, it was one of his nursing staff. His techniques with hip repair are revolutionary. He apparently does several things in one operation, shortening major surgery time and recovery. My wife has a defect in the way her hip bones are formed, which is fairly common (30%?). He fixed her torn hip labrum and defect on the right side 7 years ago. She then went on to run 5 marathons including Boston. He just recently fixed the same issue on her left side, and she is recovering fast. He's very nice, really good, but his staff is equal.
