Dr. Shah has a wonderful bedside manner. She takes her time with you.

Absolutely the worse doctor I have ever dealt with. She may be competent with simple routine patient problems but anything that requires further thought is a guessing game. She even made a comment about me seeing a lot of doctors to imply that I might be a hypochondriac or someone with Munchausen Syndrome. I was told by her nurse on the phone that I would be receiving an injection for my asthma on my next follow up visit but more recently someone else in her office said that it would be just a useless money grabbing followup. Also they never schedule my follow-up appointments after my visit. I have to remind them that I need a follow-up. The reason is that she only cares about the patients she can help and not the ones that require further thought. The bottom line is if your diagnosis is easy then she is your doctor. If it requires further thought go to a more competent doctor. Absolutely the worse doctor I have ever dealt with. saw her in the office, she said she was going to get test results but I never heard back from her or her office. I was not impressed in the least.

Absolutely no regards for the patient’s needs, the staff does not know how to do their job and is incredibly rude. I’ve been sleep walking for about two months now all the while having my medication changed over six times, had an appointment today and lost it because the staff aren’t clear on their protocols. I’d been going here for about a year and cancelled any future appointment, this place is absolutely useless. She's a very caring & considerate Dr.

She saw my husband in the hospital 2 wks ago. He had pneumonia & probably had it for a week before going to the ER because he has no insurance. She was kind. They found a small spot on his lung while he was in the hospital that week, they said it could easily dissipate w/ the clearing of the pneumonia, could be scar tissue from being so sick or it could be something to worry about & either way, 2 months from then he would have to get a cat scan to check & see where we go from there... Dr. Jyoti Shah told my husband not to worry about the cost, she would see him after his cat scan & read his results for him for free... I've dealt w/ many Drs because I have chronic illnesses, no one has ever offered to do that... I've never met a Dr willing to take money out of their pocket to help someone. This dr... and I use that term loosely... is a joke. My mother has stage 4 emphysema, was in the hospital for acute pneumonia and this Dr wanted to release her without having any x-rays or scans done to see if my mother was ready. I telephoned my mom's pulmonoligist at Johns Hopkins, relayed the situation he asked who the pulmonoligist was that was making this gross error in judgement. After he did some research he told me he would call her and order the imaging. After his call to her he called me back and told me to NEVER, under any circumstances go to her again. He recommended a dr in Calvert, as well as going to Calvert hospital on the future Reason being, the Shahs essentially run St. Mary's Hospital This dr... and I use that term loosely... is a joke. This is the worst Drs. Jyoti Shah office that I have ever been to. Unprofessional starting from office staff up to the Drs.Jyoti Shah Test results take 2 weeks to get back when it should only take 24 hrs. I would never recommend to anyone. You will end up dead or in the hospital before you get any response from this Dr. Jyoti Shah office. Didn't even want to give any stars. This is the worst Drs. I sit with my very sick mom in the hospital as Dr Jyoti Shah walks in. She once treated me 10 years ago as I new I was near this world's end on a office visit. Few words where said as she took me to the hospital persoannly. I was unable to roll over in bed without being out of breath. She successfully treated me back to health. As I read a bad review I would not want anyone but her for my.mom. she is a true genius in cares for her patients as you can tell from this experience I sit with my very sick mom in the hospital as Dr Jyoti Shah walks in. My mom has stage 4 emphysema and she called it a slight case of COPD. My mom's pulmonoligist in Johms Hopkins recommended us to steer clear of her but my mom wanted to try her anyway. She's a joke of a dr. Following Johns Hopkins recommendation and going to Calvert instead.
