He was dismissive and did not answer my questions. It was distressing during a time where I needed serious care. I have switched providers.

I saw Dr. Sun for heartburn. I had a Bravo instrument in my esophagus for a few days. The test results showed that I didn’t have heartburn and I wouldn’t be getting any more treatment. The doctor prescribed a medication for me to take when I get a burning/sour taste in my mouth. I saw him at the Heartburn Clinic at St. Joseph’s and I have an appointment in the future. I thought he was a good doctor.

Extremely disappointed - Absolutely the worst office/scheduling staff, ever. They’ve mastered the art of being unprofessional and uncommunicative.

Dr. Sun perhaps could spend more time with patients! He was friendly, courteous and professional for the first visit. If your like me and have a GI problem it might be worth the assembly line feel. I have seen 5 doctors, 2 gastrologist's, 2 colonoscopies, 2 edos, suffering for years. Have been to every area hospital emergency rooms etc...Upstate Actually told me it was constipation. Dr. Sun is the only doctor who found out I have EPI ! For that I will be forever grateful. Highly recommend him to

Dr did a colonoscopy and I was in extreme pain after procedure. Nurses were excellent but Dr. coudl not be bothered to even check on me. Level of care can only be compared to an assembly line. NO concern for his patient only the opportunity to see another and make additional $$$

He's very helpful and will try to keep you off meds. I've have multiple colonoscopies and endoscopies with him and never had a problem. His team is always helpful and courteous. Very busy at all the offices, so hard to reschedule, but they work hard to get you in.

Dr. Sun was friendly, courteous and professional. Highly recommend him to anyone in need of a Gastroenterologist.

I rate John Sun poorly for three reasons. First, he has no bedside manner at all. He has been not just curt, but impolite. Second, with a problem for nearly a year, it has been only possible to get three appointments for diagnosis. For one of those, his office failed to schedule. His offer to have me wait an extra two hours cost me the entire afternoon. Third, apparently owns his endoscopy facility, thus profiting from my prescription in two ways. I believe that is a conflict of interest.

Dr. Sun is very personable and reassuring. I would recommend him to anyone who needs a GI dr.

Kind, attentive and personable. No reason at all not to consider Dr. Sun if you need gastroent.... ok stomach related care.
