I’m so disappointed in how badly this office has gone downhill. I started with Dr. Thompson over 20 years ago and this office was the best in the area. Unfortunately over the past 3 years it’s totally fallen apart. I’ve been having issues with my bills and their constant turn over of doctors but decided I would stay with them since I’ve been going there for so long. Today when I called to make an appointment for a problem visit, I was told I’d have to wait 3 months for an appointment, which has never been the case in the past. When I explained that I couldn’t wait that long (as i’m getting married in August and would like to do it without a huge rash on my face) the receptionist got an attitude and told me that’s just the way it is. When I explained it’s a problem visit and I need to be seen ASAP she begrudgingly found me an appointment in late April and scheduled me for it. Before I could even thank her or utter another word, she hung up on me. After many unsavory experiences I’ve decided it’s finally time to find a new dermatology office. I would not recommend this office to anyone - especially if you have skin problems and actually need help ????

Husband saw Dr for LESS than 5 minutes!!!!Got a bill for $74!!! That insurance didn’t cover! Ridiculous!!! Stay away from this crook!!!

Made an appointment for my son. Told over the phone what insurance I had for him and they said that was fine. Once we got there, they told me they don’t accept his insurance and that it would cost me $100-200 for our visit. Huge difference in office visit copay right??!! Which one is it?! Very unorganized. Unhappy staff. It was very noticeable. Do not go here!

Extremely knowledgeable and caring doctor. He addressed all of my issues and answered all of my questions in plain language easily accessible to the the lay person. The well organized office environment along with Dr. Thompson’s very professional approach put me completely at ease. We conversed easily after his examination and I never felt rushed or pressured for him to move on to his next patient. This was a refreshing exception to the all too familiar assembly line atmosphere of so many medical offices. I would definitely recommend this practice to family or friends looking for an excellent dermatologist. Extremely knowledgeable and caring doctor. I will no longer go to Dr. Thompson. My husband and I both went for a routine check. We met with him the same amount of time and he billed mine as an extended visit and my husband’s as a normal visit. The charge was basically double. I called to say there was a mistake since we were seen the same amount of time and had no issues. They said that’s what the code is and I needed to pay it with no adjustments. I said I would never come back and they didn’t seem to care.

Leaving because of Carl at the front desk. Carl shuffles through paperwork by licking his fingers then handing out paperwork. Dude should know he works in a medical office and can't do that. I brought it to the attention of the staff well over a year ago. They were supposed to address it, but he still licks his fingers. He also seems to think he is the one to decide if you should be seen again after lab results come back instead of the doctor.

I went through dermatologist on call and Marie Pirillo was fantastic, prompt, and professional.

Dr. Marie cleared up my severe back and face acne after going to multiple doctors before who couldn't help before. Very clean office, efficient staff.

Dr. Thompson does not care about his patients! He not only left me with a permanent scar on my nose, which didn't need to happen, he prescribed a treatment without explaining the horrible adverse affects that would occur. If there are options in treatments, a good doctor would educate their patient about the options. He can't be bothered. He will try to get you to schedule another appt. so that he can bill insurance, and when he comes in the room it is for one minute. $$. The WORST.

The office staff are not nice. The doctor wasn't even there and if it wasn't for me over hearing them talking about how he wasn't even there yet I wouldn't have known and would have kept waiting... I cancelled and left. Will not go back.

My daughter and I are both patients at this practice for acne. Being that I'm 45, and still have acne, I've been on so many regimes,...name brand 3-step systems, Accutane - twice, minocen, bactrim, erythymycin, every percentage of Retin-A, Aczone, Clyndamycine, the stuff you put in the refrigerator, Ziana, etc... Been on the pill too, changed diet, blah, blah... Dr. Thompson seems to be very out of touch with modern acne treatments and more focused on making money off of botox!!! Marie is great!

By the time Dr. Thompson saw me, it was one hour past my appointment. He was very short and abrupt during the exam. He did not spend time explaining the questions I had or the follow-up care needed to take care of a procedure that was done in the office. He said the information I need will be on the handout. I was not looking for a dissertation on my exam or follow-up care, just the common courtesy of spending time with me as his patient and not feeling rushed after I just waited an hour.

Office staff is terrible! When you try to talk to them about a concern/problem they interrupt you and will not listen to you. I was told I had a $20 credit. The woman that told me wanted me to keep it on my account for future use. I told her I would like a check instead...I could tell she did not want to do this but I insisted. Oh and at first she told me they could not give me a check and then when I insisted she said they could. She told me it would take 2 weeks. Well....4 weeks later I still had not received it and went into the office to talk to them....again interrupted and not listened to this person told me the paper work had not even gone through to give me MY MONEY. It's been over two weeks now and I still have not seen my money that they over charged me. I called today they again interrupted, over talked and would not listen to me. I was told they have to get a hold of their accountant and the check needs issued to them at their office then they mail it to me. Very disappointed. The only positive thing I can say about their office is Dr. Marie is wonderful. She is so kind. Office staff is terrible!
