I am beyond thankful for Dr. Matheu. He is the most kind doctor I’ve ever had and he actually listens to me & helps me. I actually look forward to going to my appointments now. I love him!!

I am extremely disappointed in Dr. Matheu. He never has an opening when there's an urgent matter and wants me to go to immediate care. That is the worst thing to do since Covid is on the rise and I have Lupus which compromises my immune system. I, also, have a child with multiple medical issues that has a compromised immune system, as well. I went to immediate care already and found I have a raging ear infection and the antibiotics have not taken care of it. Instead of just calling in another round of antibiotics, Dr. Matheu would want me to expose myself, again and go to immediate care. He said since he didn't treat me, I'd have to go. That's ridiculous! He's the one who sent me to immediate care and now has no time for me? He should want to know whether the antibiotics worked and if not, he should ensure another round of antibiotics. We're not talking about someone seeking pain meds....it's an antibiotic! He should care about my compromised immune system!!! Just shocking!!! He, also, never takes my daughter out of her stroller at her wellness checks??? How can you examine thoroughly if you do this???? He did this with me and my son. That's not a physical!!!! Extremely disappointed and shocked!!i!! I am extremely disappointed in Dr. Matheu. This doctor is one of the kindest doctors I have ever met. He is very good at his job, and incredibly likable. I feel welcome here due to him and his kind nurses.

His staff could use a complete overhaul.

Very disappointed over and over again with his office. The doctor is incredible but the staff is incredibly rude. They never do follow up phone calls to remind you about your appointment. They are super rude. And I’ve been waiting two weeks for a basic prescription refill. I can’t even with them. They blamed me for not refilling my prescription. I shouldn’t have to fight to get meds I’ve been taking for years. Let me save you the trouble. Find somewhere else. You have to go through several people before you can even speak with anyone in his office. Very disappointed over and over again with his office. Always super friendly and informative. Looks out for your best interest and is willing to work through options for each case/exam.

Very impressed with Dr. Matheu and staff. He is very patient and thorough, just seems like an overall intelligent and friendly person and has a comforting presence. He listened to my concerns and thanks to him i am finally on my way to an actual diagnosis of the problems i have been having. Highly recommend.

He’s fantastic with my children, my husband’s needs and my care as well. Out of all the Doctors that I’ve seen in the area he is by far the best. He feels like family and he really cares. Even though they have a small, wonderful office, Northwesters Medicine is a largely spread co. Involving many Drs. This is why they have an answering service that will handle schedules, prescription refills, and help you with any other questions or needs. if you need a prescription filled, please don’t procrastinate and wait until a bearing weekend or holiday. This goes for any patient with any doctor. The answering service has been very helpful and if the lines ever were busy during work hours, they have always called me back in a timely manner. To start, the receptionist was very kind, warm and welcoming. Upon entering she greeted us and told us she would be right with us as she was finishing up with a patient. She introduced herself by name and welcomed me to the office since it was my first time there. If I could give Dr. Matheu 10 stars I would, he’s genuine, caring and knowledgable. I told him the symptoms I was having and he thoroughly examined me. He ordered lab work for me as he wanted to be certain of what we were dealing with prior to treating me. This was refreshing as other doctors I’ve worked with begin treating me without fully understanding the situation which results in trial and error treatments. What I enjoyed most was that the Doctor didn’t write off what I had to say. You can tell he genuinely cares for his patients and enjoys what he does. My granddaughter had a head injury and memory loss. He was very patient as he was very thorough in assessing her situation. He talked to her and was very respectful and referred us to a specialist.

Very happy. Dr Matheu and staff were very nice. Experience was good

Poor bedside manner. Does not listen to patient symptoms.

I visited Dr. Matheu's office in Dale, IN over the X-mas holidays while suffering extreme lower back pain associated w/ a herniated disc diagnosed a year ago. The Dr. was gone for two weeks on vacation, and his covering physician would NOT prescribe any pain medication. Worst CLINIC in my 66 yrs of living!
