I’m feeling very frustrated today. The pharmacist at Walgreens has tried contacting this office 5x to refill a prescription. Today I decided to call myself with the dread of waiting on hold for God only knows how long. It’s almost to the point that I don’t want ti deal with it anymore. This is unacceptable. Not a good way to keep ur patient. I’m a new patient of Dr. Pransky. I was referred to him by my good friend. I have no issues with him directly. Constantly has pushy secretary that continues to pressure everyone to come in the office even though they do zoom calls. And let’s his patients run out of meds, meds they can’t run out of... that would make them suicidal potentially

I’ve been going here since childhood, and generally always had a good experience until recently. I went in for an unusual insect bite, along with cough, chills/sweating, etc. I was given a prescription for “the magic pill”! (Exercise.) Apparently, he felt what I had was all just viral and nothing could be done - so he wrapped it all up with a talk about the dangers of vaping. This would have been great if he didn’t send me out the door while I had Pneumonia. Went for about a week thinking he had given me a strange answer and got a second opinion from Mass General, they identified the issue right away. I don’t generally blame people in healthcare because it seems to be a lot of detective work and guessing, and things can go wrong. But the way he handled it by brushing off the symptoms and giving me advice about things I didn’t ask for, I don’t think I’m going to be back there. UPDATED: Since I did not see any way to post a new review, here goes: I will say Jessica Bettons manner has GREATLY improved. No longer feel rushed, impersonal. This goes a long way with me. Thank you Jessica for hearing my concerns and addressing them! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Original Review: This review is regarding Jessica Betton, N.P. @ Dr. Gary Pransky's office in Winthrop, MA. I attempted to find a reviews page for her directly but couldn't find one. Sadly I must leave this unfavorable review on Dr. Pransky's page. I initially chose Dr. Pransky's office because I believe in supporting local businesses and for convenience. I ALWAYS found Dr. Pransky pleasant, professional, gentle in his manner and speech, attentive, thorough, engaging. He has a slow, soft speaking voice. He calms me. He reminds me of Mr. Rogers - and that's a very good thing! I felt like I was being examined by someone I can trust and who truly cares about my health concerns. I can say NONE of these things about Jessica Betton. She speaks entirely TOO FAST, she's condescending, she stares at her laptop while conversing with you [while asking you questions regarding why you have come in and throughout my responses], she's impersonal and un[der]engaging. She rushes me through my appts to the point that I forget to discuss or have examined all the concerns I booked the appt for!! You're left with the feeling that it's more about hurrying along to the next patient [cha-ching $$ - cha-ching $$] than about addressing your own health concerns and remedies. If I can no longer be seen by Dr. Pransky directly or a DIFFERENT Doctor/Nurse Practitioner - sadly it may be time to switch doctors offices. Someone either inform Jessica Betton that her bedside manner etc needs vast improvement, or cut her loose and get a better mannered doctor/NP in there! Has been my Doc for years and has taken good care of me always!

I love this place . Couldn’t ask for more at a dr office. Dr and NP Jessica are so attentive. Address every concern stay on top of your medical. And Anne and Elaine are the sweetest

I have been a patient of Dr Pransky for greater than 30 years. He is extremely knowledgeable, listens to what you have to say, explains everything so the patient can understand, follows through tests, and is very personable. I highly recommend him

Both him and the nurse practitioner are very rude and have no compassion for their patients they treat you like a drug addict if you are on pain meds and as soon as you dont do what you r told they drop you and take your meds away from you I would not recommend going to him or his nurse practitioner

I wish i could give negative stars. Not only is the front desk completely RUDE but they are also lazy. Additionally, when they tried to take my blood they stuck me multiple times and fished the needle around in my arm. I'm now having billing issues and was yelled at.

Very poor experience and I'm not even a patient. An appointment was made in my name for a stress test at a hospital I have never been to by Pransky's office even though i have never seen him . Receptionist was rude and unhelpful. Appointment was made by a Jessica Bettencourt who I was not allowed to speak to. I told them I had concerns my medical records might have been compromised or my identity stolen and was basically laughed at. Very unprofessional. Very poor experience and I'm not even a patient. Entire practice is always very insightful and responsive.

Dr. Gary Pransky has always been nothing but professional. I've never heard anything but good things from all his patients! Highly recommend!

My family and I have been patients at Dr Pransky's office for over 30 years. I am so thankful for each one at the office. Everyone of his staff is friendly and professional. I am also thankful for Jessica Bettencourt the office's Nurse Practicioner. She has been a wonderful addition and my family and I feel 100% comfortable seeing either Dr Pransky or Jessica. I strongly disagree with the criticism of Dr. Pransky’s office staff. In my twenty -five years as a patient all my family has been treated with care and compassion. The staff is very familiar with the patient’s needs and tries to accommodate in the best way possible. I would recommend that if you had a communication problem then talk to the person and see if it can be resolved.

I was treated extremely poorly by the receptionist when I just called to try to set up an appointment or talk to the doctor, even though my family has been going here for 10+ years. Neither me or anyone in my family will ever go here again, and I would strongly advise new patients to stay far away from this place. They don’t care about the patient. The nurse and nurse practitioner were friendly and very helpful. But the office staff was very rude and unhelpful. I went up to the window and the lady refused to acknowledge me for a few minutes. I don't know if I would go back again because of the poor administrative service and the uncomfortable feeling they gave, although the health professionals were good.
