Dr. Brendan Patrick Corcoran

I'd never been to a chiropractor before I went to see Dr. Corcoran - I think he knows what he's doing and seems to be a skilled chiropractor, however I'm writing this review because of his inappropriate behavior. He started off our first appointment by commenting on the current medication I was taking for anxiety/depression and making jokes about my mental health essentially. In later meetings he would make further inappropriate comments about mental health (he joked about celebrities committing suicide), women's bodies, women in general, and the like. I think to him he thinks he is a 'funny, personable guy' but instead he is making his patients uncomfortable. For example when he left a bruise on my elbow from a session (this is normal based on the equipment he used) he 'quipped', "You got a boyfriend? If so, don't tell him I did that!" Not the experience you want with a trained professional. I wanted to write this in case someone else would find this behavior offensive and to take the time to find another chiropractor. I'm surprised at the many good reviews he has on various sites, honestly. I hate to leave a negative review that could somewhat affect someone's livelihood, but wanted to warn others so they could avoid similar discomfort and offensiveness. I hurt my back really bad, had missed work. I could barely stand. Saw the doc. First he heated my back and loosened the muscles. Then he cracked my spine really hard with 3 different moves. It aligned my spine. He sent me home to do certain stretches and exercises. This is the first time I had been to a chiropractor. I was able to stand straight and go back to work the very next day. Within 3 days I was at full strength. The stretches he showed me reduced the frequency with which my back gets blown out. From every 3 months to once a year. I'm really glad my boss at the time referred me to him. This guy is very strong, he will definitely crack your spine no problem. I hurt my back really bad, had missed work. I could barely stand.
