Dr. Daniel Allen Wittersheim

He removed my ganglion cyst and now my wrist sounds like a corn grinder. I found the office staff very unprofessional - cutting up and throwing candy bars (nearly hitting me) at each other like an office party. I wish I had just let a friend smash it with a dictionary as I could not request my preferred PT, instead being referred to the Singing River HealthPlex instead when in all actuality, Dr. Wittersheim could have just given me a printout of 4 stretches to do at home to regain flexibility, since that was all SR HealthPlex, had me doing besides a warm sawdust massage. I do not recommend this doctor.

Dr Wittersheim was recommended to me by one of my best friends. I needed both knees replaced. My first replacement healed very quickly and I was back to work in 3 months. Because of how he and his staff handled my first replacement I had no problem with Dr. Wittersheim doing my second knee.I must say that he is very good and a professional. He and his staff are very diligent and helpful. I have no problem with recommending him to any one . Thanks again for your help.

It was probably the best experience I had with a medical appointment. The process took less than an hour and included a hip injection. Dr. Wittersheim was very clear on my condition and the procedure. If I were able to, 6 stars would have been my choice.

Dr. Whittersheim explained everything in a professional manner, answered all my questions. His PA was very nice & helpful. They both listened & made me feel comfortable about my visit. Dafferne at the front desk is courteous & friendly. Jackie in P.T. is very helpful as she explained everything about my knee brace fitting.

Visit went very well, found out some good and some bad, no punches pulled. Told me what I needed to know.

Dr Wittersheim treat his patients with respect and really listens to them. I respect him so much for that attitude!!&

Dr whittersham is one of my favorite doctors at Bienville Orthopedics he is always very polite very courteous and very interested in what I have to say I also got good news this time when I was there

Dr. Whittersheim has always a positive attitude and is very attentive to my questions and concerns. He discusses medical matters in such a way that I don’t feel I’ve gotta Google medical encyclopedias to grasp the content of my diagnosis and visits with his office. I always feel that he’s entering “my world” to get me the best care and not me entering “his world” to be schooled on medical protocol. Great guy. Truly the best!

Had a great new patient visit. I visited with nurse, had x-rays done, visited with the doctor all within 30 minutes. If I had a complaint it would be the amount of paperwork to fill out but that’s anytime you are a new patient. I was done with visit before I was finished with paperwork. Very friendly, on the ball staff!

Dr. Wittersheim, Dorian Blake, and the Nurses are Saints! Left hip was replaced two years ago. Zero Issues. It was a miracle. Pre & Post OP office visits are thorough, with Q&A's, and a quick response by his nursing staff to capability questions. Your in good hands 24-7

Dr Wittersheim told me more about what was going on with my hip then any one has since I have been here in Mississippi and I have been here since 2012 I would recommend him for any of your joint pains

When I first went to see Dr. Whittersheim in 2018, I was on a walker and cane. I was having a very hard time walking. My right hip was hurting so badly. It felt like my lower back. I was not sleeping at night because of the pain. After the surgery and the physical therapy, I was sleeping at night and felt so much better. Due to my knees, I was still in a lot of pain and on a walker and Dr. Whitersheim replaced both in 2019. One in March and one in October. The physical therapy was the most important thing that they had me do. I have a full life now and can work in my yard, I am still working, clean my house, walk with the grandchildren, and anything else I want to do. Recently, I feel after tripping at my back door and landed on my left arm. I did not realize I had a small fracture and after they x-rayed it, I did physical therapy and back to all my activities. Horrible bedside manner. Did not perform any examination of my back or ask me questions about what movements make it worse or better. He was in/out in less than 5 minutes. Would not listen to my questions and walked out of the room. Just wants to make money off of x-rays and Good Staff but use different doctor!!!!!

Staff are very friendly and professionals. The Doctors are excellent and really listen to your medical issues and providing excellent care. Great medical facility for your medical issues.

Dr Wittersheim made the entire experience of having a total joint replacement pleasant, informed, and actually enjoyable! He and his staff, along with their Nurse Navigator protocol, kept me completely at ease, and were available 24/7 to answer any questions or concerns, both prior to, during, and after surgery. I plan on having two more total joints next year, and would not consider any other physician, facility, or staff of professionals. I am very impressed with Dr. Wittershiem’s surgical talants but I fear that the things put in place are going to kick me out to a schedule that I can’t Physically do without extreme pain. I’m praying that my doctor doesn’t release me because of Workman’s Comp rules!!!

My 3 month check-up following a rut knee replacement was very positive. Dr Wittersheim said I was free to do any and all exercises ant the gym…except for running or jumping now. He said I could still see improvement in my knee flexibility up to a year. I am happy to be at this point in my recovery and know it was the right decision to have the surgery. Dr Wittershiem is very friendly and put me at ease right away. He asked for my input in my plan of care and gave me several options to decide what was best for me.

Dr. Wittersheim was terrific. Explained everything well, offered a suggestion for pain relief. The shot was quick, and relatively painless. I am totally thrilled with the care I received from Dr. Wittersheim, and from B.O.S.

Dr. Whittersheim did my knee replacement in June of 2021. I can positively say that ALL of the pain in my knee is gone! He is a wonderful doctor who cares about his patients and makes sure you get the best treatment. I have seen multiple orthopedic doctors on the coast and I can say he is the best! His nurse practitioner Dorian is awesome also! They will both remain my go to people for orthopedics for the rest of my life! If you have an issue that needs tending to he is the MAN!

Excellent care

Dr. Wittersheim and his PA Dorian are both very good at what they do. They take time to give you the attention you need and explain your xrays to you so you understand what is next. The rest of the staff is professional and cheerful, which makes a big difference when you are frightened and in pain.

His staff is excellent however I found his bedside manner to be very poor. He seems like he doesn’t have time to answer questions, and seems as though answering questions is beneath him. He seems more worried about his appearance than he is about health care. However after reading everyone else’s comments it seems like he could have been having a bad day that day still no excuse for being a jerk. I have been seeing Nurse Practioner, Dorian Blake, who has been a great help to solving my hip and knee problems. She is very professional and treats me like a friend, not just a patient! Things have advanced so I am now seeing Dr. Wittersheim and planning surgery. He is also very professional and takes time to strategist with me to plan to do the very best for me. I couldn't have asked for a better experience with my knee surgery. Dr. Wittersheim and his nurses are very patient and explained every aspect of my surgery so that I understood the entire surgical process along with what was expected of me after the surgery. I love Dr. Wittersheim! He is caring and compassionate. He really listens and spends the time needed with you. He doesn't seem rushed, even though he probably is due to amount of patients he has. He also is very skilled at giving shots in the knees. I hardly feel a thing!

I was thoroughly impressed by Dr Wittershein, very easy to discuss medical issues and take on the harder cases. He did an excellent job on my total knee replacement. Only wish I had had him years ago for my other knee. I would 100% recommend him to anyone needing Orthopedic Care. Fantastic Dr!!!!

On my second visit or I should say first visit after knee surgery my wait time was 1 minute in the lobby 2 minutes before x-rays and maybe two minutes before the doctor saw me Dr wittersheim is top-notch a straight shooter he was honest and told me exactly what I needed to do to get my knee better I would recommend the Pascagoula office and doctor whittersham to anyone reading this post 1st visit 5 star receptionist and follow up 2 star explaining what is needed 2 star Dr. interaction 1st visit 5 Star Singing river hospital 10 star Dr. surgery 5 star Office staff very professional, and pleasant . Wait time was virually 0 1st time patient , before i finished my paper work they were calling me back . Radiologist came in with in 5 min to take pictures . Then with in no longer than 7 min the doctor was in to discuss my knee. 5 star for first visit and Dr interaction The response from nurse and office staff when calling in is very poor . Receptionist all the do is answer phone and take messages. They never made it totally clear that blood work need done with in 30 days. I scheduled my knee surgery 45 days out. Their follow up was good asking me about blood work and reminded me to get that done and where still waiting for Primary care sign off. I then went and had blood work done. Then I was told I had to redo blood work because I had it done more than 30 days. calling to get new orders or to maybe reschedule surgery once again reception does answers . Took 3 days to get call back from nurse . Only med the doctor once and then had surgery . Just today out of surgery and will.meet Dr in am ( day after) My knee feels pretty good with little pain compared to what I was expecting . I am walking with a walker and doing GREAT.
