After surgery, the nurse knew nothing about my surgery, couldn't answer any of my question and was snippy but helpful. Absolutely LOVE Dr. Bowen and Mary! They take their time to answer any questions and explain what’s going on. They are so down to earth and make the dreaded doctor’s appointment feel like you are just chatting with old friends.

Doctor Bowen and his nurse took the time to sit down and talk me through what was going on. He thoroughly explains the procedures and makes sure you feel comfortable while they are performed. I couldn’t have asked for a better doctor.

one of the worst experiences of my life. from my first appointment where they sat me in an examination room for several hours and FORGOT about me, then my next one where i was finally seen but the nurse Deborah wouldn’t even let me speak and ask questions about my surgery before just taking me back to get a cast molded, then my last one where i was told i needed to schedule my surgery but when i tried i was told for the first time they can’t schedule me because i hadn’t met the doctor(who forgot me) so when i agreed to to meet the doctor the NP Deborah was very rude to me and it was very frustrating, i said the word FREAKING, not the F word and Deborah began to yell at me then proceeded to hang up on me. if i could give 0 stars i would. they are rude and disrespectful and unorganized. Dr. Bowen and his staff are very accommodating and professional. He has great bedside manner and remembered me 2 years in between visits. He is another great doctor at Bienville Orthopedics and I highly recommend him!

Good overall experience with Dr Bowen and the staff. All very professional but also provided a personal connection.

Both Dr Bowen and his assistant were both patient respectful. Procedure was explained and I was fully satisfied with explanations.

Dr. Leis and his staff treated us like family. This is the only group on the Mississippi Gulf Coast we would recommend!

Very detail expert cleaning done. I was very impressed with the attention that was applied to my teeth. My husband and I are both new patients here and will be back every 6 months.

Very easy processes and friendly people

Dr. Bowen has great bedside manner and was very patient with explaining why I have Carpal Tunnel.

Dr Leis is the best hand specialist on the coast! I’ve seen him multiple times for trigger thumb on both hands due to years of playing guitar & dealing cards. He’s very professional/knowledgeable & pretty cool I might add.

Love Dr Bowen and Mary. I hate nerve conduction test, however I didn’t mind this one.

Dr Leis did a ten jet Procedure on my elbow, it was great. The recovery time is hardly none. If I would have known then what I do now I would have had him fix my elbow 8 months earlier. I cannot day enough great thing about Dr Leis and all the other doctors at bienville orthopedic.

I was super nervous but everyone there made me feel good and took very good care of me.

Dr. Leis, Was professional, explained every step in detail. I am so happy with the surgery. I am in the therapy stage. I would recommend Dr. Leis to anyone who has issues with their hand and/or wrist., he is your Dr.

Amazingly patient, informative, professional , and thorough. Takes the time to ensure you understand procedure and recovery process! Answers all questions and concerns. Nurses and staff go above and beyond! Sam Pierce, occupational therapist, is amazing, beyond words to describe her patience and dedication!!

Dr Bowen was very professional and knowledgeable in his field, he and his assistant have many years experience in EMG nerve ablation test. I would highly recommend them.

I was a little hesitant at first about having a nerve study done but after talking with Dr. Bowen & the visit I was very comfortable with everything.

Very poor scheduling! Arrived at 9:00 AM for 9:20 appointment{Cedar Lake}. Called into examining room at 10:00, waited in examining room for Doctor until 11:00, went into nurse's area and advised we were tired of waiting, Doctor was rushing into another room and yelled that we were next. Doctor came into our room at 11:15 and stayed for less than five minutes, recommended surgery and said nurse would schedule. No nurse, so finally after about 15 minutes we left examining room and went to nurse station. Scheduling nurse busy so we asked her to call, Called next day. Today’s visit with Dr. Leis was the worst experience I have ever experience with a “DOCTOR”. My appointment was for 9:10. I arrived as scheduled and was told that I would be seeing Dr. Leis today! (Never met Dr. Leis, didn’t know who he was, but if Dr. Spencer had me meeting with him, that’s what we were going to do). But if I had known what I was about to experience would come from him, THE APPOINTMENT WOULD HAVE NEVER HAPPENED! And to have WITNESSES who heard the entire conversation made it that much worse. It’s a much better way to tell patients that it’s going to be longer of a wait today, and see if it would be better if they came back! That’s just common courtesy! If it wasn’t for Dr. Spencer going above and beyond to find out why my body is doing what it’s doing, I would probably NEVER step foot back in that office. Clinically his NP Deborah is phenomenal. I have seen him once for maybe 5 minutes. There is never a time morning or afternoon that I have not had to wait for an extended period of time. I do realize that Dr. Lies comes highly recommended, but there are other orthopedic hand surgeons. Most of the time it has been a 2 hour or more wait in the waiting room and another 30 minutes in the exam room. There is no professional etiquette demonstrated by apologizing for the delay or even explaining the delay. The patients are just hurded in like cattle with no regard for our time. This last appointment I decided to simply walk out. Time off work is money for me and that is worth something to me. I’ll take my records to another provider and start over.
