Speaking of "great" bedside manners, especially with a new patient, the experience I have had with dozens and dozens of dentists, healthcare providers, surgeon, cardiologists, and psychiatrists is to greet the patient with a subtle feeling of concern or support. Then tell the patient if he had read their file or message from their healthcare provider. Then, ask the patient how he/she feels, because most patients' concerns is related on their mental state This is where listening is half the therapy. Based on my brief experience with him, this known specialist has no idea what beside manners are. One afternoon, I came by appointment to see him. He walked in with a straight face carrying a folder. One would expect an attorney coming into the courtroom wondering how the criminal case is going to turn out.
