she was the absolute Best I miss her and literally begged her not to retire

I have found her to be very helpful and patient.

I love her always so informative and answers all my questions

Not a good experience. She a very uncaring and dismissive doctor. Blames the patient for their condition. A pill pusher instead of providing answers. If you have a medical problem that requires competent medical treatment do not waste your time with Dr. Liu.

I HAVE BEEN CALLING FOR A WEEK AND NONE HAS ANSWED I LEFT VOICE MESSAGES AS WELL!

My daughter had a seizure a week ago for the first time! So when I called Dr Liu’s office I was told she was taking new patients and to have our PCP send the referral and chart notes via fax to their office for Dr Liu to review and they will call me with an appointment. Another week has gone by and I decided to call Dr Liu’s office to book appointment since no one contacted me. The receptionist then tells me Dr Liu reviewed my daughter’s chart and refused to treat her!!! WTH! This office made me waste my time and so now I have to start all over and find someone new! And the only explanation I got from Dr Liu’s office was that she didn’t want to take on anyone new because of what’s going on with the Covid pandemic! Dr. Liu is helpful, thorough, and easy to interact with and speak to. I was skeptical after reading these reviews, but I had a wonderful experience during my three visits so far. The front office staff go above and beyond and are very nice. I would highly recommend.

She is RUDE and dismissive. I couldn't even complete a sentence or a question without her cutting me off. She was so mean I cried when I left the appointment. Worst medical experience I've ever had This lady is completely unprofessional and unkind. AWFUL Shouldn't be dealing with people. She is simply hurtful and unkind. Do yourself a favor and find a different, more compassionate and caring medical professional to help you.

Not sure why people are saying how horrible she is. I was referred to her, and read these reviews, and was expecting her to be an awful person. I got exactly the opposite. I had a nerve conduction study and emg and she was very gentle with me. Talked with me the whole way through and made me feel at ease. Only gave 4 stars because the girl in front kept running my card wrong for payment. Other than that it was a very pleasant visit. Not sure why people are saying how horrible she is. I have been a patient of Dr. Liu's for over 8years and because of her dedication and knowledge my migraines are under control.

Dr Liu Yao is great! There was a problem with her Scheduling Department, but they were able to fix it. Dr Liu was very helpful, kind and professional. Thanks to her I was able to get a correct diagnosis and treatment plan for a condition I have been dealing with for over two years.

I have known Dr. Liu for many years personally professionally and as a patient. Ya she can be a bit kirt. But she gets right to the point no beating around the bush. I would rather have a doctor be blunt and to the point than someone who is touchy feelly doesn’t want to hurt your feelings. So if your feelings get hurt easily go see someone else for me I’ll continue to see her for my care. Thank you Dr Liu for all that you do. I don't understand why there is so many negative comments. I had my first appointment with her this week and she was easy to talk to and pleasant. She does take her job seriously and was knowledgeable while also being approachable.

I needed to see Dr. Liu in order to obtain a Visa. I called her office on a Tuesday afternoon and after explaining my situation, I was very pleasantly surprised to be given an appointment for Thursday morning of that same week. She spent quite a while with me and didn't seem rushed. Dr. Liu wrote up a detailed report answering all the questions/concerns needed for my Visa and quickly submitted it. 3 days later, I had a Visa. I needed to see Dr. Liu in order to obtain a Visa. Doctor was rude, did not appreciate questions or being asked to repeat what she said. Felt unlistened to and rushed out the door with no answers.

Horrible establishment. This doctor is beyond inconsiderate and the ONLY positive thing about this place is the front staff- which seems to be different every time I have an appointment. Prior to this day I had been a patient for six years. Today, that thankfully came to an end when she practically "fired" my mom, sister and I as patients. Let me preface by saying NOTHING about my migraines have improved over these last 6 years and I'M the one to blame in her mind, as medications and their strengths have stayed the same. Today, when I mentioned I did NOT need to see her every month if things are staying the same, she flew off the handle. She insisted my sister and I had to see her monthly to see how the medication (that hasn't changed in SIX YEARS) is working for us, and also that we had to see her to make sure we "weren't pregnant," although there has never been any pregnancy tests ordered. Lastly, she implied we were cheap and should go to our primary physician because of that. In no way are we cheap or unable to pay our copay, we just don't find it necessary to EVERY MONTH when things are NOT improving. If you don't want a doctor that questions your every move and critiques you and your lifestyle, please do yourself a favor and do not see Dr. Liu. She has no problem yelling at you and pointing fingers in your face, even after you've been a patient for six years. After all this transpired, she added she's been "waiting for this day for a long time," well Dr. Liu, so have we and I'm so glad it's finally come. Lastly, words said and appointment dates and cancellations/reschedules seem to get lost in translation here. Overall, a total disappointment and waste of time. Horrible establishment. Very sweet and professional. She did the nerve conductivity test and explained what I should expect during the process. Not a problem. Highly recommend.

I am not sure why there are negative reviews on here. She is very nice and does actually care about her patients. So many things I could go over and list, but I don't have the energy. a brief search of reviews will give you an idea. If you care about yourself or a loved one, change doctors ASAP! she should not have a license to practice!

Very unprofessional disrespectful how can u b a doctor if you don't care about ur patients a total devil

Dr. Yao Liu is completely unprofessional and disrespectful. She does not take the time to explain MRI scans and listen to the patient's concerns. She even misread an MRI scan that was shown to other neurologists and they provided a different diagnosis that was very serious. All she wanted to do was give painkillers. She speaks loudly in the office in which other patients can hear confidential medical information. Do not go to her, a person who does not care about patients in pain.

She is be very knowledgeable, but that does not give her the right to have and attitude, it is disappointing, I was hoping for her to help me with my condition, but i am tired of doctors like her with a temper. They just dont understand the vulnerability of the patients and that we come to them because we need help and not to be mocked. It was my first and my last time going to her office.

She also kept telling me my problems are because I stopped /started taking meds. (I stopped along time before seeing her) then she got mad and told me I had alit of brain damage! Dr Liu has been my neurologist for 10 years she has been professional and caring. She has managed my MS and kept me healthy. She is a wonderful doctor. We need more like her.

Dr. Liu was wonderful! She actively listened and got my diagnoses spot on. I found her to be bright, articulate, caring and extremely competent. I will return for services, as I believe she delivers university-level medical care in a compassionate way.
