Dr. William Garrison Strickland

I both called and confirmed in person (even gave them my insurance card on the day of my visit) that Dr. Strickland's office accepted my insurance. Eight months after my appointment, I received a rudely worded bill for $2,000+ stating they were sending it to collections ASAP. As it turns out, they didn't accept my insurance and because I didn't have proof that they had told me they accepted my insurance, I ended up having to pay for a significant portion of the bill. Just today, 10 months later, I received another related bill. Imagine if I had had surgery or something significantly more expensive than $2k? While the person working the desk was nice, I just can't believe this nightmare of continued bills is continuing. I just don't understand how something so essential could be missed by staff. What else more important does a front desk clerk do but confirm insurance information? If I had done something similar at my job I would have been fired. I have never seen such incompetence.

Had EMG last year. To this day this man was the rudest and most arrogant doctor I have ever had a visit with. He may know his field but his people skills are zero. He needs to be in a lab or back office away from real humans.

Dear all, I hope that this message finds you doing very well. Unfortunately, we had a less than ideal experience with this provider. When reporting negative powerful and serious side effects that my loved one was experiencing as a side effect of his current medication, Dr. Strickland stated that the current dosage was what he has always traditionally used, and did not modify the dosage. He did not weigh my loved one or calculate his BMI. When my loved one saw another care provider, he stated that he had been prescribed multiple times the amount of pharmaceutical which was recommended for his body weight. The whole experience caused my loved one lots and lots of negative side effects, and it took him a couple months to completely titrate off of this drug, which we later learned he should have never been on in the first place. Proceed with caution. I felt as though he did not listen to the patient or caregiver experience, and this had devastating consequences for us.

Firstly, his staff is AMAZING! They are so helpful with any questions i have. The dr listens to my concerns and actually helped me find out what was wrong. I recommend him for ANY concerns you have with your health. All of these other reviews are UNTRUE! I am grateful for what he has done for me.

I came to see Dr. Strickland after a long battle trying to recover from a concussion of about 6 months. He gave me no hope and said “I don’t know why you’re not getting better. You’re an outlier.” Not the words any patient wants to hear. Have some compassion and sympathy for your patients, man. Turns out a NUCCA chiropractor knows way more about concussion headaches and how to recover. Don’t waste your time with neurologists, especially this man. He thoroughly wasted my time and money. He was ice cold.

Went smooth. He took the time to sit down with me and we talked about my options. He explained each option. I appreciate all he did in explaining and helping me.

Excellent care---It's been a struggle finding a MD would sit down with and talk with me. He was very concerned. We are now working on a med regimen for my health. THank you Dr. Strickland. You saved my life.

Dr. Strickland is thoughtful, kind and very thorough in his assessments, He embodies the competence we were seeking . Our Orthdopedic Doc, Burton Elrod referred us for issues I was having. I'm not sure how much these comments mean but I wanted to leave my true experience.

He was rude. His assistant was wonderful. I was tested for carpal tunnel. He was leaving after performing one test. When I asked about the test results, he turned to me and said that the doctor who ordered the test would get the results. He then left.

Went to see Dr Strickland in hopes of determining what was causing a migraine that would not go away or respond to any treatment that I had tried. I was scared that something serious was wrong because I had never experienced a migraine lasting this long. Upon first visit he seemed very pompous and uncaring. He barely listened to my concerns and I had to ask him to tell me what wrong. He looked at me like I was stupid and said, its a migraine and then told me that he doubted if any medication would work but was going to prescribe gabapentin. He told me not to get pregnant but if he had listened to me he would have heard me say that my husband and I are trying for a baby. Upon second visit, he dismissed my growing concerns bc migraine was still present and told me that he was referring me to a dr who would give me "a bunch of medications bc that seemed to be what I wanted". ???? I left in tears and felt humiliated. I had not asked for anything other than help! No compassion or empathy!

Agreed. The negative reveiws are not what I experienced. Dr. Strickland spent a lot of time asking questions, explaining, etc. He is compassionate and deeply cares about the well-being of his patients. This is evidenced by the amount of time spent trying to determine what was going on with me.

The office manager was extremely rude. My friend asked me to be in the room before he went in to see the doctor. When they didn't call me back after his initial visit with the DR the office manager said I would have to have a power of attorney to accompany him to his next appointment because of HIPPA policy. She told me it was HER office and that's the way it is. It ended up working so I could meet with the doctor go over everything he had been told but we were there for an extra 30-40 minutes.

Thoughtful -considerate Don't listen to the negative reviews---find out for yourself. Perhaps, the negative reviewers were the problem. I have sat in offices when the people waiting to see the doctor were complete jerks.

DR. GARRISON STRICKLAND IS AN EXCELLENT DR. HE CARES SO MUCH ABOUT HIS PATIENTS, HE HAS A GREAT DEAL OF CONCERN OF FINDING WHAT IS WRONG WITH THE PATIENT AND FINDING THE BEST WAY TO TREAT THE PROBLEM. I GIVE HIM 5 STARS ALL THE WAY.

dr Strickland and his staff are wonderful. professional, caring, and spend time with you answering all my questions. id recommend this practice to anyone who needed specialty care they are very concerned with detail and great treatments. don't listen to the negative comments left here in the review section as I found them to be untrue

I would not recommend this office under any circumstance. Their office staff is so rude and unprofessional and completely ruined my entire experience. The front desk lady mocked me and spent more time eating and gossiping rather than doing anything that looks like work.

What are they running in that office? I called for an appt. I was put on hold after she asked to help. Another person "Morgan" picks up the phone with a mouth full of assumptions for the reason I'm calling. None of which fit my description. I explain my reason for the call and Morgan says that she'll get a solution for me and puts me on hold for 32 minutes. If it's not in their box and they don't know how to answer do they blow you off by keeping you on hold to see how long you'll wait for?

Stephany brought my to my room dressed I. A mini dress with her boobs showin and high heels. Did they get her off the corner? She's not even a medical professional..... Front desk girl was nice. Dr was helpful. Office is small. Friendly staff other than Stephany.

Owned by the insurance companies when it come to workers compensation claims, 100% on their side even before he see you, the worst and the most disgusting experience of my life...

Don't ever go to him for workers compensation injury, I call him doctor insurance, he will script everything without even know what work you do, and makes clear your are faking your pain , as he is a workers compensation $$$$$ , insurance companies get what they expect him to say, worse human being I ever met.

He's an excellent doctor! I no longer live in Nashville, but I still travel from out of state to see him. I wouldn't use anyone else.

The staff and Dr.Strickland are very good at what they do. The wait times are short to see the doctor. The staff are very helpful and friendly. My experience with them has been very helpful and I feel I've gotten the best care. Very detailed in giving the best care. I'd recommend this practice 100 percent

Very warm and loving staff. He and his PA's were smart and spent a lot of time with me. The office is clean and have the nice wall boards up. Front desk was clean and the girl was polite. She livened up the waiting room every time a patient walked up. Stephanie helped me get setup with my test immediately so I would not have to drive back downtown. They were all around nice genuine people. I would recommend to anyone!!

The only time I actually saw Dr Strickland was on first visit. Every visit thereafter I saw his physician assistant, yet bill was submitted to insurance company as though I had seen him (no difference between seeing him and PA.). He had MRI and EEG done, then prescribed a seizure medication. Issues got worse. When I last visited his office, my condition had worsened and his PA said to increase medication. The last increase didn't help so why would more. Not a warm and friendly place.

Excellent. I was a new patient and did not have to wait in the hall or stand up in the wait room. The staff were very helpful. I appreciated the Doctor seeing me so soon. Thank you Dr. Elrod for helping me find Dr. Strickland.

Listen to the other reviews. The doctor doesn't seem to care and his staff horrible. They are so rude and after waiting 2 hours in the small waiting room where I had to stand the entire time due to lack of seating, they told me it was my fault because I was a new patient. Do yourself a favor and listen to the other reviews. Find another doctor who cares and staff who will not blame you for their lack of scheduling skills.

I am reporting this guy. Not only did he walk out because my phone rang. He NEVER came back. I was told to call if I needed anything. I asked to talk to the manager who was trying to calm an outburst of an employee. This staff is young, RUDE & curses. The equipment is broken and the offices smell HORRIBLE. This is a sham at best. I question the top reviews. There is no way I experienced what I did and others are total opposite. Go at your own risk!

We were very pleased. Not fond of having to go to Doctors in general but was very happy to have met Dr. Strickland and his staff. I was treated with respect and he was able to answer my questions. Very nice man.

Jerk. Offered no answers or opinions after very painful EMG. Dr Strickland said he wasn't seeing me as a Neurologist but only performing tests on the request of my referring physician. He never made eye contact as I described my symptoms and left the examination without answering any of my questions. He shrugged and said good luck. The equipment looked hard used and out of date.

Went to several Neurologist. None were able to help me. Dr. Strickland diagnosed and put me on a management plan. I appreciate the time he took with me. Answering my questions. I would def recommend him.

STAY AWAY! Dr. Strickland is a pompous, arrogant, very moody and horrible physician. Not only is his staff rude and lazy but his office is disgustingly old and dirty. I was told I would be scheduled for an MRI and never heard anything back for months. I still have not had my test. I called the office and the hateful with brown hair told me she doesn't know what she can do to help. I wouldn't recommend his office for anything unless you want to be mistreated. Trust your brain to a doctor who care
