Dr. William Joseph Harb

My experience with the Colorectal Center was as positive as any physician's visit I've ever had and yet it was for a potentially embarrassing and emotionally worrisome circumstance.  The pre-appointment information provided through the portal made my stay in the waiting room very short, less than 10 minutes. During my appointment, the CNA was very friendly and took the time to ensure all of my pre-appointment information was correct. The doctor's assistant was extremely caring and concerned and she took time to show genuine interest in my issue, and did not make me feel embarrassed about my personal medical condition. Dr. Harb was very upbeat and engaged despite the routine nature of the appointment and he was informative and transparent in a comforting way. He also took extra time to ensure I understood my situation, the prognosis, and follow-up actions to take based on future outcomes. Overall the staff is really incredible and very genuine in their focus on patient care and value!

I had a wonderful experience with Dr. Harb and his entire staff. I was a new patient. I called and was worked in same day. I'm grateful for Dr. Harb as he himself made a spot for me to come in same day.

Dr Harb was calm and reassuring no matter what the outcome of the surgery he would continue to work toward a solution. The surgery was successful. The surgeon his gastroenterologist recommended said the surgery would require a 4-5 days hospital stay and 5-6 weeks recovery. My husband's hospital stay was less than 24 hours and recovery about 3 weeks. Even though Dr. Harb no longer preforms this surgery based on the outcome of the surgery I would highly recommend him. Knowing the high standards of Dr. Harb I would feel very comfortable with care from any associates.

Dr. Harb did 2 procedures for me and I received excellent care from the consultation visit through the post-op follow up. He is very knowledgeable, personable and has the greatest bedside manner. I was very anxious about the procedures, but his explanations and honesty was able to calm my anxieties and properly prepare me for surgery. His staff is also very kind and helpful. The whole process exceeded my expectations. I highly recommend Dr. Harb.

i cannot imagine that this is anyone's favorite type of doctor to visit. dr. harb though is so laid back and very easy to talk to. he makes you feel comfortable and heard. he really goes out of his way to be accommodating and explains procedures and treatments in a way that makes sense. his staff is also really friendly and cheerful and make the visit way better than you may expect. highly recommend!

As you can imagine, visiting a colorectal Dr. is never on anyone's bucket list. Dr. Harb made a potentially unpleasant situation almost pleasant. I was in and out quickly and painlessly and my problem was taken care of. His office staff was excellent as well. I would recommend him to anyone.

Dr. Harb is one of the best doctors I have ever seen. He made me feel comfortable the minute he walked in the door. He apologized to me for being late. I have never had that happen. He listened to my issues, performed the exam and gave me a clear path for treatment. I would recommend him highly to anyone with colorectal issues!

Dr. Harb has the best bedside manner and always spends time making sure all my questions are answered. He is very thorough and explains everything clearly and has a great personality making the appointment very relaxed and not so bad considering it's usually an uncomfortable reason that I"m having to see him in the first place.

After procrastinating for months thinking the problem would get better I chose to see Dr.Harb based on his extensive training and high ratings from UHC insurance and couldn’t be happier that I did! It’s not something anyone really wants to do but after all, he does this every day, so rest assured you are being treated by an extremely competent, professional, caring surgeon and staff. Problem resolved quickly and so glad I finally feel back to normal.

Dr. Harb was wonderful! Friendly personality and put my nerves at ease very quickly. Listened to my complaints, discussed possible treatment options, and explained everything thoroughly. Would highly recommend!

I seen Dr. Sree Suryadevara. He was wonderful explaining everything to me and left the decision up to me. I was extremely happy with this visit.

After having my gallbladder removed in 2010, I began suffering from occasional diarrhea which escalated to daily bouts along with fecal incontinence. After several years of fear and anxiety of traveling or bring in public locations in 2017 I was referred to Dr. William Harb. After several tests, he recommended an Interstim Implant. It has been a month now since my surgery and the results have been amazing. Dr. Harb is a kind, caring and compassionate doctor. I will forever be thankful!

Two years ago, I was referred to a specialist from my primary care physician. That specialist performed a variety of tests and concluded...nothing was wrong. Symptoms persisted. Now 2019, I gave up the guessing game and visited Dr. Harb upon reading great reviews online. I’m finally celebrating RELIEF from discomfort and irritation that has affected my quality of life for the last 2 years. 1. Visit Dr. Harb for your 1st opinion. 2. Even if it’s for a 2nd opinion, never wait 2 years to see him!!

Dr Harb’s staff was warm, personable, professional! A cancellation allowed me to see him and he was able to do my procedure in the office, alleviating discomfort to my great relief. Dr. Harb and his staff are amazing. I am 3 months post opp for a fissure that plagued me for 2-3 years thinking it was hemorrhoids. After reading his great reviews, I decided to go see him. From the time I walked in, the treatment and concern I received from the staff and Dr. Harb was amazing. The surgery was a great success and I feel like a new person, no longer dreading using the restroom. I used to have to lay there for an hour after in pain but now no pain at all. I am so thankful.

Who knew you could love your colorectal surgeon?! Dr. Harb was just outstanding. He saw me within 24 hours of my GI's referral, then had me scheduled for surgery within 24 hours of my office visit with him. The driving factor was his willingness to accommodate a long standing trip I had planned for the next week (as well as an important Preds game!). He was so friendly, as was his staff. It was terrific to have a physician so caring of me and my plans. And a sense of humor! Thank you!

I am so very grateful and THANKFUL to Dr. Harb. I have been putting off seeing a specialist for a very long time. This was a huge fear for me, and was also embarrassing. I have white coat syndrome in general, so times that by 10. Dr. Harb's bed side manner is off the charts - seriously. He made me feel so at ease and he’s extremely down to earth and compassionate. His office runs like a well-oiled machine and his entire staff was knowledgeable and kind.

Dr. Harb and his staff made are amazingly caring, thoughtful and knowledgeable. No one wants to have to see a proctologist, but they made my experience comfortable and much less embarrassing than I had expected--from his front office staff to his nurse and surgery team--I would highly recommend him to anyone!

What can I say about Dr. Harb and his staff at the Colorectal Center; saying that they were “top notch” doesn’t even begin to do them justice. After an overzealous surgery caused me some extremely debilitating issues, I was referred to Dr. Harb for diagnosis and treatment. From my 1st visit I knew that I had been sent to the right place. From the scheduling to the level of care that these fine providers strive to achieve, you will never be left in the dark .

I would not have enough space on this thread to describe how big of a blessing it has been to be in the care of Dr. Harb. He is so kind, caring, and knowledgeable. It’s so easy to see that he genuinely cares about his patients. I had tons of anxiety going into my first ever surgery, but Dr. Harb and his wonderful staff helped me be at ease throughout the whole thing. I would recommend him to any and everyone I love. Praise the Lord for doctors like Dr. Harb. God’s hand is truly evident in him.

Have seen Dr. Harb for both a colonoscopy and hemoriodectomy. Cheerful, knowledgeable and skilled. Tried banding several years ago for hemmoriods, but my condition was too advanced for that approach. Put off surgery for years, but relented this summer. Got all the information I needed in advance and the procedure went easy peasy. Not the most enjoyable procedure to recover from, but staff and doctor were readily available with medications and answers to questions. Wish I had done this sooner.

Dr. William Harb has been my doctor for several months now. This is a wonderful man that actually cares for his patients. I drive an hour and a half to see him and it is definitely worth it. He is working to correct a problem that no other doctor has been able to solve. I told him at my last visit I wish he was also a GP so he could be my primary physician. I have to say he is such a kind man, very reassuring, and is able to laugh and joke and then talk to me like a person.

r. William Harb performed a hemorrhoidectomy on me, and he is an incredible Doctor and Surgeon.He was friendly, easy to talk to, and empathetic to my concerns. It was after I went in to surgery, and after surgery, I discovered just how skilled he was.. I was up and moving within a week, and virtually pain free in 10 days. In recovering from surgery, a skilled surgeon makes all the difference, and Dr Harb was amazing. I highly recommend him to anyone who is having rectal issues.

Had an overgrown rectal yeast infection and waited 30 min. in exam rm. After a quick look, he was already out the door before I could ask about something for the extreme pruritis I had been going thru for 5 days. I ended up having to call back to his office for more of the medicine which was not getting rid of the yeast infection and kept me from sleeping and daily activities due to the pain from itching. His nurse did the prescribing not him.

Dr. Harb and his staff are amazing. I was a bit anxious about my appointment, and they all put me at ease. My husband had visited Dr. Harb a few years before. He not only checked on how my husband was doing, but made sure he had what he needed to be healthy and well. His rapport with patients is wonderful. I felt comfortable and in good hands. I would highly recommend him.

I was so nervous when I went to see Dr. Harb I was literally shaking! His nurse was terrific and told me I would love Dr. Harb. And she was absolutely right. He was so kind and explained everything to me in wording I could understand. When I get nervous I tend to forget what a doctor has already told me and he was so patient and kind when I repeated a concern he had already addressed. I would definitely recommend him to anyone I know!

Dr. Harb gave me my life back. I was unknowingly misdiagnosed with hemorrhoids by a GP over 3 years ago. I have a very high pain tolerance, but in January 2017 the pain became unbearable and I realized it was past time to get a second opinion. I am so happy I saw Dr. Harb. He is both professional and personable and a very skilled surgeon. I was told I had a chronic fissure and required a sphincterotomy. The surgery was a huge success!! Wish I'd seen him sooner! Thank you Dr. Harb!!

I had terrific results with Dr. Harb and the banding procedure. Dr. Harb is very attentive. He listened to me and I followed his plan. I was miserable by the time I finally met Dr. Harb, and now I cannot express how happy I am. I recommend Dr. Harb as highly as I can. He and his staff are amazing people. Dr. Harb was awesome. Moved here from out of state and had an issue and they got me in immediately. The offer staff is incredible. Dr. Harb took time to talk with me and his bedside manner for uncomfortable issues is just great. I would recommend him to anyone and everyone. Was extremely impressed with him.

His knowledge, his gift in making a patient feel comfortable in uncomfortable exams/discussions are second to none. His expertise has literally turned my life around!!! After suffering for quite awhile, I was referred by my PLP to Dr. Bill Harb, colorectal specialist. I met with Dr. Harb, who provided a QUICK DIAGNOSIS, TIMELY TREATMENT & FOLLOW-UP. I was extremely impressed with Dr. Harb's medical skills, and more so with his personal interaction and bedside manner (warm, assuring, confident). Well let me tell you what a bad experience.. she had a horrible bedside manner and her staff was terrible. I researched and found Dr Harb the best thing i could have ever done. my first visit i knew i made the right choice very compassionate had surgery last wk had a great experience pain is totally gone. Everyone in Dr. Harb's office was a joy to work with. His staff is efficient and well organized. Our questions were fully answered. We left the appointment knowing we were in the best hands. The surgery was very successful. Recovery was quick and without complications. The hospital stay was also very nice. I would give Dr.Harb and St. Midtown an A+++

Dr. Harb is a very caring and personable surgeon. He listens and has a great bedside manner. His surgical ability is excellent. He was able to do my procedure laparoscopically which wasn't even at option in my home town. The surgery was supposed to take 3-4 hours and he was done and talking with my family in 2.5 hours. My recovery went extremely well and I was discharged 2 days before the planned date. HIGHLY RECOMMEND DR. HARB!!
