Dr. Timothy Alan Shaw SR.

I went to see Dr. Shaw today after having stepped on a very rusty nail. He was kind and knowledgeable, and had a great bedside manner. I’ll go back. In fact, the whole staff was very helpful and nice.

Very poor bed-side manner. Probably one of the worst physicians I’ve encountered.

I was in AL last year and didn't have a regular doctor. I have several rare, chronic conditions that became serious and Dr. Shaw not only understood each in detail, but also knew how they interrelated in ways few other doctors have -- I found his experience and breadth of knowledge impressive and critical for my needs at the time. I would recommend Dr. Shaw without hesitation. Too bad the overall AFC environment is very rushed and impersonal. I wouldn't as readily recommend them as a clinic.

Went in because my drs office was still closed after Christmas. Was told I had a sinus infection and mycoplasma, was given 2 shots and sent home with oral meds. I went to my dr yesterday because since that time I had not fully recovered and had developed a very sore throat keeping me up at night. He diagnosed mycoplasma and after telling him about my visit to AFC and showing him a list of the meds they gave me he said those meds were not effective against mycoplasma. BRILLIANT!! Not recommended.

I was seen by Dr. Shaw in the Cullman American Family Care. I went in with chest congestion and coughing. He was very rude and tried to write me a prescription for an antibiotic that I am very allergic to. I told him my drug allergies. He obviously did not look at my drug allergy chart. My husband told him the antibiotic he was prescribing was an allergy for me. Dr.Shaw became violent with my husband. Dr. Shaw refused to write a prescription for a antibiotic that I wasn't allergic to.
