Dr. Rost is an excellent OB/GYN. He is kind, caring and listens to his patients. He is a fantastic dr and cares deeply about his patients.

Dr. Rost is such an amazing doctor, I’ve been to a few OBGYNs and he’s the first one I truly like. He delivered my first child and it was a wonderful experience! Most of the negative reviews here are for Dr. Marshall whom I’ve had very little interaction with. But I HIGHLY recommend Rost, definitely a 5 star doc!

I have had a very good experience with Dr. Marshall. This was my second delivery with Dr. Marshall and both times, she took her time to walk me through the process and always asked if we had any questions. She doesn't play around, she is direct and tells exactly what the issue is and acts accordingly to the situation.

This review is actually for Dr. Marshall not Dr. Rost, however there is not a google review page for Dr. Marshall of OBGYN Grapevine. I wish I could rate Dr. Marshall 0 stars. Dr. Marshall lacks empathy and interpersonal skills. If you voice a concern she will belittle you by being condescending towards your concern. Dr. Marshall will do an ultrasound at every visit, but she does not explain what she is seeing and is vague when answering questions. My husband and I were told that our baby’s stomach was small and that the amniotic fluid is low. Dr. Marshall did not explain what this could mean and also did not offer any other information to us. Luckily we have found a new doctor who actually listens to our concerns and takes time to explain when needed. Okay so I am clearly writing this review on an account that doesn't appear to be "real" for the protection of myself/HIPPA. I want to give this facility 1 start because I can't give 0. But Dr. Marshall was very rude, unprofessional and hostile. She questioned why I was at her office to begin with and her forehead/eye expressions were pretty condescending. There was no reason for her to make me feel so uncomfortable when clearly I had some serious medical concerns that were a bit frightening. I want to give Patty 5/5 stars because she has always been great at communicating and allowing me to express my concerns to her, I hope that Dr. Marshall realizes how she has made one patient feel and I hope she considers not being so hostile towards her patients. She has overall pretty good reviews but take into account that she doesn't show interest, as a woman I would like to express my concerns without being made feel stupid by a doctor. This review is for Grapevine OBGYN in general and specifically Dr. Marshall - not Dr. Rost. (There is no Google listing for the practice as a whole, only for him at this address - so here it goes.) Most horrifying experience. Only the first visit went well. (1) My anatomy scan at 19 weeks was delayed because Dr. Marshall had to care for a delivering patient. I went home after waiting an hour and called to see if she came back yet. They argued with me when I asked to come back in. (The doctor's 15 minutes to see me are more valuable than the 2 hours I spent going to the office, waiting there for her, coming home, and then going back. The patient is irrelevant.) When I did go back, the doctor took a deep sigh and monotonously went through the scan. The scan ended and she didn't ask me if I wanted to know the gender. She condescendingly asked me if the gender is why I drove back to the clinic (it wasn't). I asked about a lump in my abdomen and she threw a medical term at me (diastasis recti), no empathy for my fear or explanation about what it is or if it goes away. (2) They did not tell me when they had my UTI results even though I told them I wouldn't take antibiotics until they confirm the UTI. What's worse: they told me it was E. coli infection, and after picking up my medical records I found out it was Enterococcus. Completely different bacteria strain. (3) I wanted a different antibiotic, but I was given no polite explanation about why they can't change it - nor did they ask me why I was concerned about the one I was prescribed - I was told the doctor will not change it, she doesn't work for me, and I can find another doctor. It's like the whole office has a God complex. ***Newsflash: Doctors get paid to work for patients. Without patients and their insurances, doctors would be dirt poor. A patient's requests and questions should not be brushed off.*** Now at 20 weeks I have to go find another doctor. Dr. Rost is the absolute best. He’s delivered two of my daughters and both times he has the most calming presence. In the office, he makes you feel like he has all the time in the world for you. My most recent delivery turned out to be an emergency c-section. Dr. Rost is so good at coming and checking on patients during delivery that he just happened to be in the room when my baby’s heartbeat dropped to 40 because of a prolapsed cord. He acted incredibly quickly and was able to stay calm and composed the entire time! The surgery was done within ten minutes Of him finding that the cord was prolapsed. The nurses told me they all like to go to him because the nurses all know the beat doctors. When they were looking at my incision they were impressed by how small and low he was able to do it. The best OB/GYN in town hands down. I got a referral from my husband physician in Baylor Scott White for my pregnancy. My appointments are always easy and quick and I never had to wait in line longer than 5 minutes. Dr. Rost always make time to explain and allow us new parents to ask questions. During my labor, he was very patient throughout my 20 hours period and treated us with his best care. Overall, if you want a good doctor for your pregnancy he would be a great one!! Dr. Rost is THE BEST Doctor. I made a mistake and had my second daughter at Baylor Frisco with another doctor. When I went into labor they wouldn’t give me my epidural because they couldn’t get a hold of my doctor to get the okay. They left me in pain and told me women do this every day...... after a laying me on my side because she still wouldn’t answer her phone my baby slid out after they rolled me over and she walked in with wet hair. I had so many tears down there and it was awful so for my third daughter I came back to the best doctor ever and again have the best delivery ever! Thank you Dr. Rost!!!!

I have been very disappointed. I do not feel like Dr. Rost took me seriously and just brushed me and my symptoms off. Dr. Rost delivered my first baby and he was ok through that although I felt like he didn’t manage my increasing blood pressure right. A couple months after delivery I started having really bad pelvic pain. Instead of bringing me in for an exam or trying to help me figure out what was going on he referred me to a pain management dr. I continued to have really bad pain and felt something was not right so I found a new OBGYN who immediately scheduled tests and an exploratory laporascopy and discovered that I had an abscess on the outside of my uterus that had caused a lot of necrotic tissue. Had I not gone to a new dr who took me seriously I could have become very sick and septic. I have been very disappointed. I do not feel like Dr. Rost took me seriously and just brushed me and my symptoms off. I have 5 kids and doctor Rost has deliverd 4 of them. Let me tell you I know this this man and his nurse more than most people know their spouse. You’ll understand your last month of pregnancy ???? They are amazing. Doctor Rost is a sweet, caring, and loving man. Oh and his nurse is just as kind. Best OB ever!!

This is my first pregnancy and started consulting Dr.Rost from week 8. The care he extended was amazing. He made sure the entire pregnancy was stress free and easy. He handled our case meticulously and with care. I highly recommend his care and expertise with handling pregnancy and delivery. He ensured that everything was smooth during labor and during postpartum until our discharge. This is my first pregnancy and started consulting Dr.Rost from week 8. The care he extended was amazing. Dr. Rost and his staff guided my wife and I through her first pregnancy. Every question we asked was promptly answered and the entire staff had a great attitude. They provided a 24 hour emergency question line as well as a non emergency email for any questions we may have throughout her pregnancy. Dr. Rost is the ONLY doctor we’ve been to that has been on time with EVERY appointment we scheduled. His office is located inside the hospital which makes things even more convenient for everyone. Dr. Rost is the best! This was our first baby born here in Texas. I was nervous at first as I had a poor experience with another doctor and my c-section was my first major surgery here. Doctor Rost and his amazing staff were so helpful, compassionate, and reassuring. They all put me at ease. They are all so welcoming and friendly! I recommend Dr. Rost and his staff to anyone. I've been a patient of doctor Rost for years. Last year I told him I would be on Medicare my next annual visit. He said no problem. His office left two voice messages reminding me to schedule my well woman visit. I called to do so. I was told they take Medicare but not Humana Medicare Advantage. I was told the higher priced advantage pays the doctor less. I called Medicare and this isn't true. When I called back thinking it was a misunderstanding and the office person yelled at me! I was stunned

Dr. Rost is a great physician. I have 4 children and Dr. Rost delivered my last 2 babies at full-term after putting in cerclages with both pregnancies. I had high risk pregnancies due to delivering my first baby at 24 weeks and I was always so worried. He made me feel comfortable from day 1. He allowed and encouraged me to go natural with both deliveries which was always my dream. My two favorite things about Dr. Rost are he is always smiling and always on time. I highly recommend him! Dr. Rost is absolutely amazing. He was my OB for my 2nd child and it was the best experience ever. He is a great doctor technically speaking but is so down to earth and funny. The office staff is friendly and on time so that is a huge plus!

Absolutely amazing doctor! He is very knowledgeable but he is just a really nice guy. He was my doctor for my 2nd child and that was the best decision I made. Highly recommend. A plus is that the office was always running on time :).

From the time I walked in the door, every single staff member was so very friendly and professional. I already knew Dr. Rost as the best physician to work with, but now as a patient. I will continue to recommend all my friends.

Dr. Rost and Staff are beyond amazing, their expertise, friendliness and standards are very high up! My Family and I could not be happier to have chosen him to Deliver our precious Daughter! I highly recommend him ???? Thank you very much Dr. ROST and Staff!

I have had Dr. Rost as my gynecologist for almost 20 years and do not think I would have gotten through some of the medical challenges I've had without his calm and patience. He is a great listener and very caring. All of that translates to his staff as well. Even though I've moved to far north Frisco, I have kept Dr. Rost as my doctor because I can't imagine anyone else would be able to match his dedication and experience.
