She answered all my questions and gave me options. I chose in clinic surgery and it was a great choice. On surgery day she took a procedure that I was very nervous about and made it relaxing. The post-op instructions were explained well and easy to follow. It was a pleasant surprise that Dr. Fountain called to check on me that evening. I also want to mention that the Surgical scheduler, Nicole went above and beyond my expectations and made the whole experience down to my wait for pathology results a pleasant experience. I was referred to Dr. Fountain by my Ophthalmologist for a problem called Entropion. Dr. Fountain visited with myself and my wife and fully explained the nature of the procedure and my options. Dr. Fountain performed the procedure and called me that evening for follow up to see if any problems or questions. Her office called a few days later to check again. The follow up exam was one week later and Dr. Fountain examined and discharged me saying that I should be well within two to three more weeks as is the case. I was completely satisfied with her care and would not hesitate to recommend her.

I had eye lid surgery (Blepharoplasty) with Dr. Fountain and she was fabulous! She was very thorough in her explanations as well as answering all my questions. The procedure was virtually painless as was the recovery. I am very happy with the results.

From the first meeting (consultation) through the second follow-up appointment, Dr. Fountain was warm, caring, and efficient. I opted to have only my lower eyelids done, even though I have some droopiness on the uppers. She didn’t try to talk me into doing both and respected my wishes. Just before, during, and just after surgery, she took the time to answer any questions. And she called me at home later that afternoon to see how I was doing. I had a great experience with her, and my eyelids are healing well and, as I’m told, looking good!

Dr. Fountain removed a melanoma from my eyelid. From the 1st mtg. she demonstrated professionalism, compassion & confidence. She has a fantastic team that provides outstanding service. I was completely satisfied & would not hesitate to recommend her to anyone. My thanks the the Doctor and her team!!

Dr. Fountain performed ptosis surgery and blepharoplasty of both upper eyelids. She explained the procedures thoroughly and informed me of all the possible complications of the eye surgeries. The results exceeded my expectations. My peripheral vision improved immediately, there is no residual dryness or discomfort, and as the months go by the scars are healing beautifully. I am so glad I had this surgery done and I highly recommend Dr. Fountain!

Dr. Fountain recently operated on my dropped eyelid. I was nervous about eye surgery of any kind. I'm so happy to say that it was a very good experience and I can't say enough about her skills and professionalism. I highly recommend her to anyone requiring outside of the eye surgery. Dr Fountain was recommended to me by my regular ophthalmologist, who told me she was not only a brilliant surgeon but also a nice person. I found both descriptives to be true. Dr Fountain performed bilateral open lid blepharoplasty (eyelid lift) on me in February. Another doctor had previously diagnosed my droopy eyelids as ptosis. Upon thorough examination, Dr Fountain determined that the surgery I needed was less extensive than the other doctor recommended. She also explained all potential risks (none of which occured in my case). Prior surgery, she provided detailed diet and medication instructions for the time leading up to surgery. Surgery went very well. Even the stitches were immaculately placed. All was well at my first post-op appointment. Due to coronavirus restrictions, the next appointment was telemedicine, but she followed up with an in-person appointment as soon as state regulations allowed. Results for me are better vision, less tiredness (due to effort to keep my eyes open), and improved appearance without the need for eye makeup. I'm grateful for her surgical skill, professionalism, and respectful consideration. Dr. Foutain and her office staff presented information on ptosis (surgery to lift eyelid due to ligament weakening) thoroughly and succinctly. Surgery went as described. Results were extremely satisfying.

Dr. Fountain is a consummate professional, extremely well credentialed, an excdellent surgeon and quite friendly to boot! I had upper and lower eyelid surgery and I'm extremely pleased with the results. I highly recommend her to anyone considering plastic surgery around the eyes.

Took my mom 1st for consult on ptosis surgery on one eye. Dr Fountain immediately put her at ease about a procedure that is obviously anxiety causing as it is surgery on your eyelid! Thoroughly explained procedure, recovery, risks, etc. Had procedure, went exactly as explained, beautiful result. Unfortunately 2nd eyelid then drooped (a consequence Dr Fountain made us aware of on first visit). Repeated procedure on 2nd eyelid and though it hardly seems possible it went even better than the first, same beautiful result, faster recovery. Everyone so friendly, accommodating, yet professional. Highly recommend!

I am so glad that my primary physician recommended Dr. Fountain who performed upper blepharoplasty on me about two months ago. During the surgery, she made me feel at ease by carrying on a conversation that I almost forgot that I was undergoing surgery. I did not experience any pain during nor after the surgery. The removal of the sutures a week after the surgery was painless as well. Two weeks after the surgery my eyes already looked good. She removed the extra skin on both eyes with precision that now, I can see my crease and eyelashes. The amazing thing is she brought back the eyes I was born with. I look like a younger version of myself. How great is that. Another amazing thing is that I have not used any eye makeup since the surgery. This is because I don't need to anymore. I am no longer a slave to eye makeup. I can go out and feel good about myself without eye makeup. Her expertise is second to none. If you are apprehensive about the surgery, you need not be. I assure you, you will be in good hands. She will listen to your concerns about your eyes but it's her expertise that will drive how much skin to remove. She is not the kind of doctor who will go by the patient's unrealistic expectations. In addition to her expertise, Dr. Fountain is very friendly and approachable. Her bedside manners are excellent. She makes you feel that she cares about you and that she wants an outcome that will make you feel good about yourself. How your eyes look is only external. What really matters is how you feel inside. Dr. Fountain performed eyelid surgery to eliminate ptosis which was interfering with my eyesight.. Dr. Fountain is professional, attentive, and most importantly, a great surgeon. I recommend Dr. Fountain to anyone needing surgery for areas around the eye.

DR. Tamara Fountain did DCR in my rt. eye August 19,2019. I have a good recovery, very pleased w/ the results of my DCR. I highly recommend her . She has a pleasing personality, smart and very knowledgeable of her craft. Thank you Dr. Fountain, well done, my tear duct problem is now history. She explained everything very well, before you can even ask questions. I think she can read her patient's mind. LOL. She puts your mind at ease. I give her 5 stars ( or 10 ) In the evening post surgery, she calls and make sure everything is ok. ( bleeding/pain ) ? I have none of those. Very caring doctor.

I recently had eye surgery done by Dr. Fountain. I found her very easy to talk to and she takes the time to listen. She explained the procedure to me in depth before hand. Afterwards my recovery went almost word for word as she said it would. She and her assistant both followed up with me by phone during the first few days post surgery. What a wonderful feeling it is to have feeling that your doctor truly cares about you.

Dr. Fountain did a perfectly beautiful reconstruct of my Right Ptosis (droopy eyelid). Anyone needing any form of eye plastic surgery would be hard pressed to find a better surgeon in the Chicago area.

She looks great on paper, but completely botched my mother's eyelid lift. One eye ended up looking ABNORMALLY larger than the other, and the lifted eye has continual problems (constant tearing, dryness). When we returned for a follow up visit and questioned the results, her response was completely defensive, stating "you sought me out, I didn't seek you out." Meaning, you came to me, I didn't ask you to come to me. Thanks Dr. for the permanent problems and asymmetric outcome. Beware!

Dr. Fountain treated my 7 year old son after a glass picture frame shattered and damaged his eye. Her bedside manner was incredible with our entire family. She was extremely thorough and we knew we could trust her advice. She put all of us at ease. Her follow up call was very detailed. I would highly recommend this doctor.

I can highly recommend Dr. Fountain. She was professional, kind, thoughtful and extremely helpful. She did magnificent work on my eyes. The result is that I look 30 years younger. When I left her office after my final visit, when we shook hands with her upon leaving, she said, "It was an honor". No doctor has ever said that to me. I had a fantastic experience with Dr Fountain and her staff. Scheduling was smooth & the front desk were friendly. Her nurse Susan was excellent. She kept me up to date with my insurance approval status and prepared me well for surgery. Dr Fountain is very professional and took the time to explain everything and answer all of my questions. My surgery went well, and I had a great outcome. I work in healthcare and know excellent care when I see it. I would highly recommend this practice.

Dr. Fountain performed a functional upper blepharoplasty on both eyes. The results are amazing. I'm so glad that my regular eye doctor referred me to Dr. Fountain. Her skill is superb. Her care is professional, yet personal and caring. Susan is also a great asset to the practice. She took extra time and care to calm my nerves while scheduling the surgery - and was helpful and patient when I called back with additional procedural questions. I would recommend this team to anybody any time.

Thank you Dr. Fountain, you probably saved my life, possibly my wife's and others. The experience with you and your staff was exceptional. Everyone made me feel like I was part of the family. The surgery was all new to me and I was very assured by you ad your staff. I am happy that I can now see without always raising my eyebrows,and can safely drive without endangering my passengers and others on the road. Great experience.

I recently completed week 9 of my double Upper Blepharoplasty (drooping eyelid). I was very pleased w the surgical results performed by Dr Fountain. In my opinion, her surgical skills are as much artistic as technical, based on my improved results. Although my ocular anatomy is bilaterally symmetrical, my drooping was not, the right eye sagging much more than the left. Post op results were as symmetrical as this patient will ever be, and I am grateful to Dr Fountain's and her wonderful staff.

Dr. Fountain has been treating me for Graves' Eye Disease for about 2+ years, and could not recommend her more highly. She has shown tremendous care, concern, patience, and compassion while the disease has run its' course and I could finally get surgery. She made me feel instantly comfortable, never rushes through an appointment, thoroughly answers questions, has great follow-up, and referred me to a terrific ENT doctor (Joseph Raviv) who did an endoscopic sinus surgery. She's the best!

I had eyelid ptosis corrected by Dr Fountain and could not be happier. She was recommended by my ophthalmologist, who told me that's who she would go to if she needed surgery. Dr Fountain's assistant was very helpful in explaining the procedure and dealing with my insurance company. I'm grateful for the good care she gave me, and very satisfied with my result.

Dr Fountain is a skilled ophthalmologist with a lovely, reassuring demeanor. She did a great removing a brown spot over my left eyelid. The results were amazing. I would recommend in a heartbeat.

There are not enough adjectives or characters in this review to say how much I like Dr. Fountain. I had gone to the "best" ocular facial surgeon in the area four times to have the same surgery (which didn't work). Then I was recommended to Dr. Fountain. HURRAY, it worked. Best recommendation I have ever gotten. Dr. Fountain is beyond professional, kind, caring and has a fabulous personality to boot. Her Nurse Susan is fabulous, as well as her Nurse Lisa, and the front desk is terrific.

My 3 year old daughter needed surgery to remove a cyst above her eye. After hours of research, I decided to contact Dr. Fountain to perform the surgery. From day one, Dr. Fountain was professional, trustworthy, knowledgeable, courteous and just a great person. After the surgery, she texted and called me to check on my daughter. One week post op and you can hardly see the scar! I could not have asked for a better person and doctor! Would recommend her to anyone in a heartbeat!

Dr. Fountain was the 3rd ocular surgeon I visited before I had my procedure. I felt the other 2 doctors were upselling me additional procedures that I did not feel I needed. Excellent results with surgery on eyelid in one say that others wanted to do over two days, Dr. Fountain takes time to carefully explain the procedure and has a superb demeanor.
