I was in pain and had bunch of other things that needed attention. She was one of the doctor in my insurance list.She heard everything from me and all of sudden for no reason started yelling at me.I felt like leaving the office right then. She lacks bedside manners, is very arrogant, rude in behavior and carry great pride in her diagnosis, which she did none. She gave me a feeling that she is doing a big favor on me by hearing me. I came in pain and left with a heavy pain and more depressed.She didn't give any medication nor any plan of treatment. Please save your time and do not visit this doctor.She really needs some help and psychopath treatment for sure.

Met Dr. Goel when I was a patient at Whitehalll in Deerfield. Very caring, listens to her patients and very prompt when reaching ing out to her. Great doctor!

Dr. Goel has been my family's primary care doctor for many years, and has always shown the utmost care for us. She maintains the perfect balance between being supportive and compassionate, and stern & health-focused when necessary. I highly recommend Dr. Goel. She can be a little bit scolding on occasion as noted when she does not understand a circumstance. I have seen this, but also, she is always responsive. She will not hesitate to contact a specialist to request a faster appointment or more aggressive treatment on your behalf. She is thorough, she researches your conditions, and she will call you in the evening. If you are not fond of instruction or are not going to keep appointment, I would not use her. If you have complicated issues and you need a champion to assist you, Dr. Goel is the right person, and other specialists respect her.

I have to say, I was disappointed with this practice. I called wanting a primary physician and scheduled an annual physical. The staff will not inform you on what that consists of. I take half a day off work for a physical to find that it's just a preliminary visit, where you fill out forms and talk with the doctor for 15 minutes - no one told me that! From there we schedule the actual physical, and you must do blood work - that is not an option, and I would have rather not. If they had told me in advance, I could have fasted and done the blood work right there. And I can't give the blood work at the physical - no - you need to have the results back on the day of your physical, rather than utilizing their site to inform you of your results. So that's three visits I had to do for what really should have been one visit. And then I'm charged an additional $78 (after insurance) on the day of the physical for a separate visit - what? My insurance says she charged me separately because we talked about something other than the physical/blood test results - something about birth control? Ann, who works for Dr. Goel’s financial department, couldn't tell me what the extra charge was for, but backed up that we must have talked about something unrelated to the physical. After a week of trying to get a hold of her, Dr. Goel tells me that the insurance didn't consider some of the blood work, like vitamin D, as a preventative, and therefore it couldn't be completely covered. That's not what BCBS said; they said all the blood work was covered, and that Dr. Goel put in that code because it was considered a separate matter. Even if what Dr. Goel said was true, I shouldn't have to foot the bill because she didn't know the whole test she insisted on didn't count as part of my physical. So what should have been a one-time appointment, free for me, became three visits and $200 out of my pocket - and I have good insurance. Oh, and at the physical she doesn't check your eyes, ears, and throat. She and her staff are friendly, I agree with the other reviewers on that, but I don’t appreciate the lack of transparency and that extra charge on top of that first, unnecessary visit. Best..Ever...she listens and is completely engaged in my well being as if I was her only patient. Recently discovered a heart issue that required surgery. Staff is wonderful.

Do not see this doctor

I've never been one to see a doctor for anything but after going through what I've gone through, seeing Dr. Goel was the best decision I've ever made. In a nut shell, this great doctor took the time necessary with me to figure out my problem and essentially saved my life in the process. I have been seeing Dr. Goel as my primary physician for over 5 years and I think she is just amazing. Dr. Goel actually listens to you with eye contact and I have never felt rushed. And she has a good sense of humor!

Dr.Goel is a skilled doctor but she can be condescending, short-tempered and have poor bedside manner. On one recent occasion, I contacted her because I had acute pain in my shoulder. She told me that she couldn't do anything for me or make self care recommendations. She treated me like a nuisance and was curt. When I told her this was innappropriate tone and attitude, she said, "thanks for the therapy session". I can not recommend her. She will not give you the time and attention you deserve

Dr. Goel was rude, defensive and non-compassionate. I told her my symptoms and she asked me why I was seeing her and not my allergist. She gave a quick and not thorough exam. She didn't explain to me what she thought was wrong even when I asked and was quick to prescribe something. When I asked what the medication would do she said I was refusing the medication. I do have a right to inquire about my treatment. I ended up getting up and walking out of the exam room. I will never see her again!

I will never will go see this Dr ever again. I has been seeing her as my Primary care physican and my experience overall was quite poor. I have visited for 3 different issues over the past year 1/2 and she has literally helped me with none of them. This is the most caring doctor I ever went to. I first came to her through recommendations from two other people, with a few health issues and she was able to help me where no other doctor could. She is very patient and actually listens. I can't say enough good things about her. If you are looking for a quick fix via drugs without getting to the root of the problem then she's not the doctor for you. Her office staff is the best as they get back to you in a timely manor. I was in a rehab center, she was the Doctor working on my case. Dr. Goel came in to talk with me. sometime during our meeting I had an anxiety attack (something that has never happened to me before) where i did the universal sign of choking (two hands on throat) because I couldn't breathe. she did nothing, she just stood there. I finally pushed the nurse button and Dr. Goel left the room. I asked for her to be removed from my case.
