Susan is a very skilled therapist. I started with couples counseling which strengthened our marriage and continued with individual therapy. Susan is very insightful, compassionate, honest and connects easily. She helped me explore childhood issues in a safe and gentle manner which has lead to understanding and healing. I highly recommend Susan.

Finding a therapist that you connect with can be challenging. I found in Susan empathy, insightfulness, compassion, and demonstrated strength and expereince. She has helped me identify what is and is not within my control and to either accept, change, or compartmentalize it. She reminded me that strength is also showing my vulnerable side. Working with Susan has allowed me to maintain my role as mother, wife, sister, and friend while working through a difficult time. I am truly grateful for her advice and guidance.

I was hesitant to see Susan because it was an hour drive and she didn't accept insurance, but none of that mattered once I met her. I had always put myself last and it had it's toll on me when I arrived. She truly listened, respectfully advised and professionally taught me the tools I needed to come alive again! My Wife and I saw Susan for couples counseling for approximately 1 year. In that time we were given tools to listen to one another and resolve difference of opinions in an adult way without damaging our relationship. I came to realize through counseling how deep my wife loved me and my own roadblocks to accepting and reciprocating that love. I first started working with Susan in May of 2017 and over the next 6-7 months I met with Susan 2/3 times a month. Susan helped save my marriage! Like many, my marriage reached a crisis point in the years after children arrived, as the stresses of childcare, jobs, house management, etc. drained the energy from our relationship. Susan helped me discover how old coping mechanisms perpetuated a reactive environment, and provided concrete techniques to ensure that both my wife's and my needs were met. She draws on her personal experience and openness as well as psychology, counseling, life coaching, etc. She's welcoming and supportive, and her style is more conversational and down-to-business than most therapists. I came to her for help with self-esteem and anxiety but she also ultimately helped me better understand some family dynamics. Note, we tried Skype mtgs a few times but I preferred in-person due to the connection quality

Susan really helped me recover from my depression. Additionally I felt like she was a trusted counselor who I could share anything with her & she was never judgemental. If my depression returns I certainly will be reaching out to Susan again - but to sum it up Susan is a truly awesome mental health professional.
