Dr. Steven H Brown

Dr. Brown is very knowledgeable and has a very relaxed manner with patients. He puts the patient at ease and is highly respectful of the often awkward process and anxiety for the patient having a colorectal exam. I highly recommend Dr. Brown!!

I have been a patient of Dr. Brown for over a decade. Scheduling apointments and procedures has always been made easy BH the staff in Bloomfield and South Windsor. Dr. Brown ks always friendly and professional. He explains any needed procedures, and his follow ups are always prompt and thorough.

I gave my review shortly after the procedure. Dr. Brown has great bed side manners and I will see him again in 3 years. I was also pleased with Heidi Lowry efficiency. It was very effective. Best, John

Ended up waking up from an ileostomy I didn't know I was getting instead of the laparoscopy I was informed of because Dr. Brown was convinced all my colon issues were really just an undetectable STD (despite numerous negative results and absolutely no urinary symptoms) Surprise surprise the culprit was diverticulitis, which got so bad I also ended up with colitis, peritonitis, AND sepsis. If you want actual results before life altering surprise surgeries, do not look to him for answers.

Gave us limited options....failed to explain full picture. Incredibly poor bedside manner.

Dr. Brown took more than adequate time to listen to my issue, professional exam, and then we sat in his office and duscussed my medical concerns etc. Never felt rushed. Very happy with Dr Brown and his staff.

Dr. Brown is a very good and kind doctor.

He's fabulous! He's excellent at explaining the situation and procedure and putting me, the patient at ease.

Very nice guy, went to several times. For some reason his staff isn't that good. Constant delays, took almost 2 weeks to get colonoscopy results, very bad experience this time around. Had an emergency when he was away, and covering dr. told me he didn't have any open times and do go to the ER.

Dr. Brown saved my husband's life. My husband entered hospital in extreme pain. 20 hours later the hospital still didn't know what was wrong. Dr. Brown, doing rounds for his practice, saw that my husband 's MD was from the practice, checked on him, asked that a surgery room be prepared (it was Sunday). Brown recognized that my husband's colon had burst and he was dying from peritonitis. Brown did major surgery, removed 9 inches of colon, thoroughly removed dangerous peritonitis in his abdomen.
