Dr. Miller has been my endo/PCP since 2005 when I had my 1st medical crisis. Blessed to say, under his care, it was my 1st and last! He's attentive, knowledgeable, and takes time to listen! Yes, he listens and addresses every medical need/symptom. You may sit in the waiting area a little longer but, when you're in his exam room, it's all about you and how to get you back to or, how to maintain optimal health. He's more than doctor, he's a trusted friend.
Office poorly run, Blood work results takes forever to get back, waiting isn’t worth it. Nice doctor very knowledgeable, but isn’t considerate of how long people wait. The staff was great they can only do some much. Very helpful whenever I needed help but that’s about it for the positives of this office. You shouldn’t have to spend 4-5 hours to see someone for an appointment that should take 15-20 mins. Doc should consider retirement or hiring a PA to help him out. Knowledge if you have the patience to wait 2-3 hours. Suddenly he stopped ordering bloodwork for Hashimotos? He told me to have my primary care doctor order it, then fax it to him. I did do that in June 2021. He finally called in September 2021 but refused to alter the “too high” dose, so I left. He’s too old to practice and NOBODY wants to spend half a day waiting, for a refill from an endocrinologist that doesn’t order bloodwork. It’s the most ridiculous day and NOBODY calls back in a reasonable time frame. 3 MONTHS after several voicemails and a fax from another doctor? That’s malpractice. My primary care doctor still hasn’t change the dose either. That’s malpractice. I ended up at a walk in clinic because I was shaking, sweating and unable to sleep. Letting me have a stroke isn’t ideal. Physicians One (Manchester) had me D/C the Liothyrine, and all is well now. Healthcare is a nightmare. Nobody cares at all.
I'm so upset with this doctor's office. My husband's appointment is at 4 pm and the doctor walks in at 5:39 pm.
Totally disgusted with this practice, the staff is rude, and the Doctor does not care about his patients. I called on behalf of an elderly family member, to get testing supplies, and was told the patient was discharged. But we never got a formal letter stating so. This office is Incompetent.
He saved my life. He thought I had cancer when no one else did. Was my doctor for over 30 years. But sadly I had to change doctor's. His wait times are crazy, 2pm appointment maybe you will see him by 3pm if your lucky. The excuse is always the same, busy day. He even said that to me after I sat on a exam table looking out the window as he is doing laps around the parking lot. Staff is rude. No one answers the phone anymore. If the doc don't care why should they? Almost impossible to get a prescription refill... Sorry doc. But time to retire. He saved my life. He thought I had cancer when no one else did. Dr. Miller was a great doctor. And then as he got older he just didn’t care about, seeing patients on time. Walk into the exam room at 3 pm for a 2 pm appointment. Excuse always the same, busy today. Even though I just watched him doing laps around the parking lot in his lime green sneakers. And this was year after year. Took an act of God to get a prescription refilled. Every month call the drug store call doctor and maybe in 3 days you get the refill. Dr. Miller I stopped caring and so forth his staff has stopped caring. Had to find another doctor.
As a physician myself, Dr. Miller exemplifies the finest qualities one would hope to find in a doctor. He is a very skillful clinician as well as a caring, compassionate individual. Any patient could not find a finer doctor to manage their medical problems.
if you go to dr. office for an appointment you would have to wait at least 2 hours. if you want to talk to doctor after visit, you would have to wait at least 2 weeks. if you don't have high BP you will have one after you visit them. good luck.

I have seen Dr Miller for about 15 years now. While the wait can be long, his exams are the most thorough you can imagine. He takes the time to listen to you. He can be more knowledgeable than some speciist s. Bring a good book, chill out and your health will benefit
I just switched endocrinologists. I would have an appointment scheduled at 11am, but not leave until 2:30pm or 3pm. The appointment itself would take 5 minutes. Never felt like I made progress. Slowest office ever.
He is a Smart and attentive Do tor. I am confident in his assessment of my conditions and his recommendations. However, for over 15 years he continues to hire rude, front end receptionists. And you need to be prepared to wait 2-3 hours to be seen. He is always behind, even at 8am appointments.
No hand sanitizer in waiting room, fabric seats. No one wiping down the seats in between patients. Only 1 allowed in waiting room. Chairs in hallway, however due to the slow pace of the office, about 10 people walked right by me from other doctor offices. Let’s hope they were well visits. Not a great feeling during a pandemic.
As many others have said: a lovely man and a good doctor but you will wait at least an hour, even if you’re the first patient of the day. (I’m waiting now. Decided to write a review since I’ve played all the games and checked all the news weather, and sports, and have run out of things to do. Waiting exactly 2 hours so far.) Not sure whose fault it is, but it’s very disrespectful and disruptive. It’s been this way for the 5 years I’ve been coming here. If I had to visit more than once a year I’d change doctors.
I waited for 2 hours without so much as an I’m sorry. Dr Miller does not care how long a patient waits. He thinks we are there to be seen when he feels like it. The office person checked with him after an hour and told me he was working on paperwork. What? My time has no value to him and he has the audacity to have a sign posted that explains canceling an appt within 24 hours will be charged. I will never go to him again. Doctor Miller should not be practicing medicine anymore. After waiting hours and the receptionist left, I went home. I rescheduled and tried again. I waited an hour in the waiting room. The medical assistant took me to and exam room, took my blood pressure, etc. Then said it would long wait to see the doctor. She only took me in because she needed to leave for the day. Now alone, I waited another hour then I left again. When I last saw Doctor Miller he fumbled around with my chart and repeated himself a couple times. I don't even remember why he wanted to see me now. Everyone retires eventually. It's long overdue. Sorry. Doctor Miller should not be practicing medicine anymore. Very good , but you have to wait along time. The wait is contributed to time he spend with each patient
The office staff will tell you that he has changed the way he manages his schedule, you dont have to wait, etc. But it hasnt changed, in fact I think its become worse. Like the other reviews, I've spent 3 hours waiting one too many times. Most recently I had an 8:00 appt, first one of the day (thats all I would do), and I arrived to find lights out and door locked. I waited 15 min in parking lot, and finally left. Then they had the audacity to charge me a missed appt fee? He is a nice man, but he is COMPLETELY OBLIVIOUS to time. I'm sorry, I cant invest 4 hours for a 20 min exam. I'm out.
Dr. Miller has no care or respect for his patients' time. I have waited in his office for up to as long as 3 hours at a time, and the receptionists will willingly offer you this information when you arrive for an appointment. A doctor that does not value my time is very concerning and exhibits a real lack of compassion, which is an extremely important thing to have as a doctor.
The response time is atrocious.
Poor
Arrived for a 4:30 pm appt to find that another patient was just being seen for her 3:00 appt ! I rescheduled for another day only to be called the night before and I was told they double booked me for an 8 AM appt !.. The office was closed, not opened yet - no lights, no staff at 8:10 am There were actually 3 patients there for the 8 am time slot. Love him, but they cannot logistically run their office in a professional manner.. I wonder what time Dr. Miller actually arrived.... I left before 8:30, went back to bed and will be looking for another MD....
I've been going to Dr Miller for many years. The wait is always very long and I find disrespecful of people's time. Dr. Miller may have been a good doctor but the staff has become increasing incompetent which is frustrating. I will find another doctor.
Very poor service, the staff is nice but I had a 10am appointment and came in 10 minutes early and I still haven’t been seen and it’s going on 12:24 pm. Like I like the staff a lot but that wait is unacceptable and inexcusable.
ONE STAR IS EXTREMELY GENEROUS! THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE! 1 month of effort to reach ANYBODY over the phone. ive lost 20 pounds since he last saw me. IVE LEFT COUNTLESS MESSAGES FOR THEM CONTACT ME BACK. CUSTOMER CARE IS OFF THE CHARTS TERRIBLE. EVEN WHEN I USED TO SEE HIM. IT WAS SUCH A LONG WAIT I HAD NO CHOICE BUT TO LEAVE WITHOUT BEING SEEN! SOMEONE DO SOMETHING! ONE STAR IS EXTREMELY GENEROUS! I took an elderly person to this office and at first they were very rude. I gave the person's name then we sat down. We waited and waited and waited. I went to the window a couple of times and no one there. About an hour later we walked out. This is unacceptable to have to put an elderly person thru this. In order to write a review I had to give them a star to be able to post this but they do not deserve any star at all. I took an elderly person to this office and at first they were very rude. This doctor has to be one of the worse endocrins offices ever. The Dr. Miller is extremely slow. The staff who appears to be new talks for a very long time and they don’t appear to know the steps. I was to have a EKG for my physical and that wasn’t done. I just think this office should be looked into by medical association, doctor should retire and should be shut down. Horrible place! Very component medical staff when you can in to see them. I have had to wait more than once anywhere from 30-60 minutes because they are never on time, even when you are the 1st appointment of the day. They open at 9 am, I had a 9:15 am appointment, I left at 10 am without seeing the staff and now I am going to seek another office that values their patients time as well as their care. Went to see him for the first time waited over 2 hours in the waiting room, had a test for low testosterone I am 41 and my results were for an 85 year old which he said was normal for my age. He was more interested in what I did for work then my health concerns, the staff had to call him out to take care of his next patient because of the time it was taking. I ended up sitting there about four hours total for nothing. Never again will I go back to his practice. Worst experience I’ve ever had when going to the doctor. I waited in the waiting room for over an hour. Then when I asked one of the receptionist what was going on, she said that they were backed up and didn’t know when he would be able to see me. She then said that someone should have called me to say that they were backed up. They then had me go into the room, and I waited another 45 minutes. Beyond worth the wait. Through a complicated medical scenario he has been there for me every time. Is patient and kind. I would wait dor whatever time it took for this kind of attention. If you want to be rushed this is not the place for you. If you are patient it will be rewarded by someone who actually cares.
Knowledgeable, thorough and caring. Really listens, asks questions and spends quality time. Have been looking for a doctor like him for years. He can get behind so I call office ahead of your appointment and adjust for that.

Dr. Miller is an excellent diabetes doctor and spends a great amount of time with me. Dr. Miller is a brilliant, thoughtful, and compassionate diabetes doctor. He has helped me with my diabetes for over twenty-five years. Dr. Miller is an extremely sought-after diabetes doctor and unfortunately, the wait times in his office are very long. The office should do a better job regarding time management.
Dr. Miller is a lovely man and goes out of his way to spend the necessary time with a patient. However, the consistent 1-2 hour waiting times, incomplete and missing chart information and the general lack of preparation and follow-up have caused me to lose trust in this practice. I cannot recommend this practice to anyone and I'm moving to another practice.
Dr. Miller is a nice man and a good doctor, but keeps you waiting for scheduled appointments for up to 2 hours. If you have time to waste sitting around for him, then I recommend him as a doctor. If you don't, look elsewhere.
Dr. Miller is a great doctor and will spend a lot of time with patients but other staff and office personnel are very rude and do not get back to you. I was put on insulin 4x day and can barely get calls back for follow-up from anyone. I’m sure Dr. miller would get back but he probably has no clue what is going on with office, they are probably rudest and most unprofessional ppl I have ever seen and I am NOT a high maintenance person!

Extremely knowledgeable and LISTENS and EXPLAINS things - yes his appointments sometimes run over but if you want proper care and not get shuffled in and out like you are a car in for an oil change then you will understand the wait times as he takes his time with each and every patient. I would rather have a thorough doctor than one who is concerned with the clock. Dr Joel Miller is an excellent physician who genuinely cares for his patients health. It is good that we can call ahead to see if he is running behind schedule before coming in for our designated appointment.

Worst experience ever!!! Aside from waiting over 2 hours to be seen, I was told that my testosterone results were low, but the normal low. So he could not help me out. When I stressed to him on what other avenues to take because I was still feeling fatigue all the time and low sex drive, THIS GENIUS gave me a prescription for Cialis! REALLY!!! This had to be the worst first impression I've ever received from a doctor. I waited for THREE HOURS to be seen! When I was finally graced with his presence, I was only given a scant amount of advice for my condition and pushed towards a hormone treatment my primary care hadn't even discussed with me. Although I recognize he has an extensive amount of time in the field, this didn't seem to correlate into the 'exceptional patient care' I was told I would receive from this doctor.
