After several years, I have come to the following conclusions. Time to get a new doctor in January. 1.) Dr. Badeen is more concerned with getting me out of the office in 15 minutes than in examining me or listening to my comments. 2.) He blew me off with my concern about lack of sleep (only 2.5 hours each night). He asked if that made me mad. I said yes and he said that I need to stop getting mad when I can't fall asleep. 3.) He always has trouble using the computer, especially finding entry fields. 4.) I asked for some blood tests to check insulin resistance. He said he did not recognize a couple of the tests.

No comment. As at every patient visit. "ARE YOU STILL ALIVE?".

I especially appreciate Dr. Badeen (my family doctor since we moved here 10 years ago) because he provides the level of medical service you require & request. i.e. I'm sure my husband gets on the scale, as asked, while I refuse~! I don't feel pressured into getting tests I don't want but feel comfortable enough to ask for anything I would want. Staff is friendly & if it's urgent, I don't have to worry about an appointment. Very happy here ~

When I moved back to Maine my doc had left his practice. I called many doctors in Bangor, where I worked and none would see me. (yes, I had good insurance) but either they weren't accepting new patients or they wanted my records first. I lived in Newport area so I went into a doctors office in Newport. They wouldn't see me unless I got my records first. I then went to Dr Badeen's office. He saw how sick I was and took care of me when no one else would. He cares about the patient.
