Dr. Stephen Lewis Nelson JR.

Very rude and dismissive. Was outright offensive at one point. Did not even address the primary reason we were there. Sent 32 pages of lab tests without proper diagnostic codes so my insurance won't cover it

Has cancelled my child's annual appointment 3 years in a row, final scheduled visit was not in the system and due to over crowding from Dr. Nelson taking 2 weeks off after having those clinic days fully booked my child was not able to be seen. Does not return phone calls. Does not care about parental concerns. Over books and reschedules appointments too frequently.

2-hour wait in the exam room. His nurse Tanisha is rude, ineffiecent, & unprofessional. After THREE months, I had to do a medical records request to see why my son was being referred to more specialists. They would not give me results & the doctor did not return my calls. Random specialist referrals were made with no clue as to why, and I was told to call around myself, as she had done everything correctly for her part. After FOUR months, still no CT scan or MRI scheduled, as I was told would be

After a long road with my son in almost getting expelled, multiple visits w/ doctors and therapist along with counseling. With only one visit to Dr. Nelson I feel like we were thoroughly cared for and that my child was seen as a patient and not a pay check. I am relieved that I actually feel that I will finally have valuable answers for the money that I spend. Thank you for making me feel like family Dr. Nelson.
