Dr. Ake listens and talks with you. Never had a Dr. Spend this much time with me.

I have been a patient of Dr. Ake's for many years. I have followed him to this practice from another and he is worth the trip. Dr. Ake is compassionate, insightful and attentive to my medical needs. His attentiveness and excellent diagnostic skills have led him to the correct diagnosis on occasions when I believe only a few doctors would have sorted out all signs and symptoms to achieve the correct diagnosis. Dr. Ake thoroughly discussed his findings with me and at a level I understood. He then prescribed the correct medical treatment and followed up at times that were comfortable for me. I have recommended my family to him and both of my son's are in his care.

Met with Dr. Ake as a pediatrician to my newborn and couldn't be happier. He was very attentive, gave thorough guidance and asked plenty of questions. We left the visit feeling like we were in good hands

He doesn’t want to prescribe anything. Due to his negligence I have severe, bleeding stomach ulcers.

Been going to him for years, as far as I am concerned he is the best doctor that I have ever had and I’m 70 years old.

If I could rate this doctor with 0 stars, I would. I was looking for a primary care doctor and had a horrible experience. This doctor was dismissive, did not look at me the entire time for our first consultation. When I asked about my records to be transferred, he stated that he expected the transfer from my previous doctor to take 3 or 4 months. This would mean I would be without my medications for that length of time. These medications are essential to my well being, including anti depressants and thyroid medications. He also lied on my records, making me shorter and heavier. This allowed him to code my insurance for obesity, so he would get more money out of my insurance. I’m a scrawny guy, if someone called me obese they would have to be blind. PLEASE AVOID Dr. AKE AT ALL COST. I couldn’t believe what he wrote on my records, when I got the copy, it was obvious that he didn’t even looked up from his computer to look at me. When I called to let them know that I wasn’t coming back, I wasn’t asked why and was just hung up on. No one in his staff cared or even reacted like a human being. I don’t often complain, but I can’t let this guy keep treating people like this. Please look for another doctor, I found another primary care Doctor that took time to get to know me, and his staff transferred my records in just 3 days. He is knowledgeable and thorough.

Listens to your problems, does a thorough exam each time and explains what's he thinks is going on with you. Then thoroughly explains each prescription he writes for you and how it will help with your symptoms !!!

Very friendly and listens to all problems..

Takes time to explain what he tells you. Listens and answers questions. You don't feel rushed. Shows ginuine concern for his patients. That is getting very rare in doctor. Most get you in,out and gone with more questions than you had before you came. Dr. Ake is the exception, a rare find!! He was my doctor at one of the UNT clinics. I can't give an opinion of his office,never been there unfortunately but I'm sure it's all great. He would have only the best for his patients. Surely worthy of a 5!
