Had our first visit with Dr Vason today. I found him to be compassionate and forthcoming with my husband ( stage 4 lung cancer) and me. I have 100% confidence in this wonderful man. His staff was just as kind and thorough. We left his office with a tremendous amount of optimism.

Had a very bad experience with this doctor in my dads last 2 weeks of life . He was very rough , rude , and not compassionate at all !

He was 1 hour and 20 minutes late for my appointment. Asked to see my incision without me being prepared ahead of time. Had to undress in front of him. (Why didn't he step out?) I asked why he wants to do 25 treatments after telling me I would not need any more than the intra-operative radiation at surgery. He swore he didn't tell me that. He can't handle a patient questioning his choice of treatment. Told me he didn't want to treat me, then ended up saying he wouldn't treat me.

He told my mother she needed 28 radiation treatments or there was about a 33% chance of the cancer returning. She decided to go to OSU Med Center and see a specialist there. There, she was told that she needed 3 radiation treatments or there was a 15% chance of the cancer coming back. If you have a serious medical issue, get out of town!

Very caring & professional. He listened & took action, which gave my husband 8 months he wouldn't have had. Betty I Morris, widow of Jeffrey David Morris. (I love this man for his honesty, integrity, values, and compassion.)
