Sina Matin

Dr. Sina Matin’s he saved my life as well. I had emergency surgery in July 2020 by another surgeon due to a bowel obstruction which left me in poor condition and hospitalized at Select Carrollton for three months, in and out of local hospitals in DFW. I was on TPN and in a lot of pain and not able to eat by mouth until after his surgery in Jan 2021. Dr. Matin and another local surgeon took on my case during the hight of the Covid pandemic. The first surgeon that day on Jan 2021 performed my colon surgery then Dr. Matin followed up after him and did reconstructive surgery on my abdominal area using his mesh procedure. The following day after my surgery I started to bleed out. The first surgeon was not present at the time and Dr Matin was on site at the hospital to go back in and stop the bleeding. Before taking me back into surgery he called my family and reassured them I would be ok and treated me like a human being.

Had double inguinal hernia surgery 4/26/22 at Baylor Scott and White. The staff at BSW had nothing but the highest of compliments for my surgeon Dr. Matin. After surgery and in the hospital the same from all the staff. I also take that opinion and am very thankful and appreciatative in all that was done for me. Would highly recommend Dr. Matin and BSW. In the hostital..one nurse told my daughter I was the nicest patient he has ever had. And on my last day another nurse told me as she squeezed my hand, I was her first "patient" patient. These nursess take over when the Dr s leave. They have a lot of responsibility and many patients. They are not our waitress/waiters or maids. My heart goes out to them. Hate to hear that humans beings can be so callous. If people could only put themselves in other peoples positions for a moment and find compassion. This man is a pervert and should never treat a woman, anyone who respects a woman, or is trying to raise a woman. Granted he was filling in for my breast surgeon and he doesn’t normally handle breast cancer. This is no excuse. The nurse said, “Oh my God, Stop it” He didn’t. She hit hit lightly with a paper but he ignored this. I appreciate her effort to help. This should be no reflection on her. She tried. I am mad at myself. I laughed. Deer in headlights phenomenon , I guess. He recalled his exploits what were his golden years as a man. What really haunts me is that I went to see him because I was badly bruised. Why is the sight of a badly bruised breast something that brings back his hay day as a lover? I won’t get over this soon and I don’t need this on top of cancer. I feel extremely ashamed and I wish I could get it through my head that it’s not my shame.

Dr. Matin did my bariatric surgery and I haven’t had problems so far. However my experience with him and his assistant Tracy were not pleasant. Would not recommend if you want a place were they care about you as a patient. He made me loose my time going there for visits that did not last more than 2 minutes and was rude.

Dr. Sina Matin is incredibly knowledgeable and has a passion for bettering his patients lives.

Dr. Matin is super. He repaired my hernia. I would recommend him to anyone. All the doctors I dealt with said that they would/have used him for their personal family surgical needs without a doubt.

I had gastric sleeve surgery with Dr. Matin in December 2019. I was impressed with the caring and professional treatment I received by Dr. Matin and by everyone in his office. They really do everything they can to support you and help you succeed. When it came time for the surgery, I was taken by the number of nurses and hospital staff that commented on how fortunate I was to have Dr. Matin doing my surgery. He clearly has a stellar reputation with the nurses and hospital staff. One nurse commented on how many times Dr. Matin performs surgery to correct other doctor's failures. I was already very comfortable with my decision to go with Dr. Matin, but their input confirmed I'd made the right choice. Since my surgery I've had regular appointments and support from Dr. Matin and his office. They really care and want you to help you meet your goals. I'm very happy with my entire experience and with the results. I couldn't recommend Dr. Matin more highly.

My sister went to see this doctor. He brushed her aside in under two minutes. How disrespectful. We are finding a new doctor.

I drove 30 minutes to see Dr Matin. I waited another 20 minutes past my appointment time to have my medical issue looked at. When Dr Matin finanaly saw me, he spent 90 seconds talking with me, brushed aside all my complaints of the issue, and did not take me seriously at all. I believe it was because I am a woman. Dr. Sina Matin saved my life, Literally! I had a bad weight loss surgery from a local surgeon, It left me in terrible shape. I was malnourished and in a lot of pain. Dr. Matin took on someone else's mistake. He did surgery to repair the problems that were causing my pain and discomfort. During my surgery my heart stopped. I went into full cardiac arrest. Dr. Matin did CPR on me to revive me. He was born to be doing what he is doing! I am so grateful for him. He is very kind, very honest and very careful with the lives of his patients. Dr. Matin is a great and personably surgeon! Dr. Matin made sure I had the best experience with my emergency appendectomy and cancer results. He showed kindness and referred me to an excellent surgeon for the next step in my condition. I would highly recommend him!

Doctor spent under 2 minutes looking at my issue. Did not answer my questions. I spent 30 minutes driving over and he totally wasted my time. I am finding a new doctor.

Today was my initial visit with Dr. Matin and he was professional, engaging, and had a great sense of humor. I was extremely nervous yet left the visit feeling confident in his abilities and recommendations. Thank you!

I was referred to Dr. Matin to see if he could figure out where my left side groin pain was coming from. Turns out I had two problems, a small hernia on my right side, and some (5) metal staples stuck in me from a hernia surgery on my left side from 17 years ago. Turns out those staples were stuck onto some nerves that was causing my pain. Dr. Matin took the time to get the necessary imaging to figure out the problem and went the extra mile to perform a right hernia repair and go to the left side and fish out those pesky staples that was causing all my pain. I an now pain free thanks to his skill and because he was willing to go the extra mile to figure out what was wrong and fix the problem. I had a surgery that went seriously wrong and was assigned Dr. Matin to perform the corrective surgery. Thank God I just so happened to get Dr. Matin! He definitely knows what he is doing. It has been a long journey back to health but Dr. Matin has given me the best chance to get there as soon as possible. He’s a “tell it like it is” doctor- which I appreciate. Dr. Matin SAVED my life. For over a year and a half I have been unable to keep food or water down. I had a gastric sleeve done by another incompetent Dr. who would not rectify his mistake. The first day I saw Dr. Matin all my vomiting cease and I have been able to keep food down. He is the ABSOLUTE BEST. I love his bed side manner. He was my first smile in months. I had my gastric sleeve surgery Dec 20th 2019 and Dr Matin and his staff made the process so smooth. He ensured I had everything i needed before the surgery and the follow up care has been wonderful. I was always scared to have any kind if surgery but knowing what I know now. I would have had it years ago.

My girlfriend has a gastric sleeve done by and incompetent doctor and hadn't been able to keep food or fluid down for well over a year. Finally we met Dr. Matin and i can honestly say his bedside manner in remarkable and he listens to his patients. I would highly recommend him to anyone in need of his experience

Dr Matin is a great surgeon with a great bedside manner and his expertise is evident in all he does. Dr Matin performed a revision of gastric sleeve to RNY due to severe reflux. I am now 2 months post op and my reflux is gone and I have lost 25 pounds so far. Dr Matin is a wonderful surgeon and I would recommend anyone who is looking for a great bariatric surgeon to see him. You wont be disappointed.

He helped at first, but when his billing office tried to charge me for a supposed $10,000 cadaver flesh patch instead of a pork flesh, because the nurse opened the patch, he did not recover his fees for an uncovered patch, he humiliated me in front of a nurse practitioner by telling me, "I'm not giving pain meds". At NO POINT did I ask for ANYTHING but to figure out why I was still losing weight (5'9" and 123 #), I didn't warrant his time be ause HIS BILLING OFFICE BILLED WRONG & OR SCREWED UP

I had to have emergency surgery and was lucky enough to get Dr. Matin as my surgeon. He was not only very professional and confident in what he was doing, he was funny, down to earth, and made me feel so much more at ease prior to surgery. My husband had an inguinal hernia surgery in the past few months and Dr. Matin was the surgeon. He used the DaVinci Robot and performed laproscopic surgery to repair his hernia. My husband has never been the same since that surgery! He can't even return to work! He can't sit for more than 5 minutes without using an ice pack for the pain! We're not sure what Dr. Matin did but he really messed him up! We assume he caused severe nerve damage. STAY AWAY FROM DR. MATIN!!!!!

Friday, June 30, 2017 I had emergency surgery . Dr. Matin returned to the hospital Friday night around 7 pm as he decided after reviewing the case, he needed to do surgery Friday vs waiting until late Saturday afternoon. You can feel the care from Dr. Matin. He listens to your concerns, gives full and understanding coverage to your care. I would recommend Dr. Matin, he listens.

I interviewed 3 surgeons before making my decision with Dr. Matin. I LOVE him. He came highly recommended from my gastro doc whome I adore and respect AND I personally know two other people he did surgery for and they have been so pleased. It's a great feeling to have someone operate on you that you could have a good laugh with, he's completely relatable. He is gifted, honest, and compassionate. I'm 5 days post op and look forward to a new and bright future. Thanks Doc!!!

I am so thankful to have been referred to Dr. Matin. He will not sugar coat anything and that is just what I needed. I would definitely use him for surgery and feel comfortable with referring family and friends. His staff is excellent too! They are very on top of things!

Do not use this facility they are very unprofessional. The office staff is very rude and disrespectful. Dr. Matin refused to write a simple letter of explanation of medical necessary to an insurance company. Office staff states guess you will just have to pay the bill. Gastric bypass is a life or death and requires yearly blood work for the rest of your life. Please seek medical professions who are committed to walk with you throughout your journey and will help provide you with excellent care a

Dr. Matin is very stern in his beliefs and will not do anything that might be of harm to you, he is so complete and stern in his recommendations that he made me cry then it made me very angry, but then I realized that it was all for my own good.. But he has not right to talk to me the way he did about my grandchildren or children. If you don not want to hear the truth well then Don't go see him, cuz he will fire you as a patient. And he means that whole heartedly.
