Dr. Sharon Ann Novy

My child had a urinary tract infection - likely from sitting in a wet bathing suit for too long during the summer. This doctor shamed my child and my parenting, assumed that my CHILD was sexually active and we then found out from the insurance later that the doctor ran STD TESTS WITHOUT OUR CONSENT, which were obviously negative because this was not the reason for the UTI. This doctor also called my spouse at work and left a voicemail again accusing our CHILD of being sexually active. This was not only a horrible accusation of a child but also distressed my spouse significantly. It was completely inappropriate to leave medical information about a diagnosis on voicemail. We will not be returning.

The front office staff is HORRIBLE!! A pediatricians office and when I'm 7 mins late (due to a train that runs by their office) then I am told I have to reschedule. I look in the waiting room and there is not a soul in sight and say we could wait around for an appt or for her to fit us in for an annual wellness check and that was NOT an option and no willingness to work with clients at all. In 43 years, I've never experienced a doctor's office that wouldn't work with clients to fit them in for quick appts when they are late...especially a pediatricians office where HELLO PARENTS ARE RANGLING KIDS TO GET THEM IN THERE...THEY MIGHT BE A COUPLE MINS LATE...GIVE THEM A BREAK!!! My son has been seeing Dr Novy since he was 2 days old. He is now almost 10 and Dr Novy is absolutely THE BEST. She has helped my son with everything from a cold to being bullied at school. As a parent you feel helpless when your child is ill but Dr Novy gives a list a things you can do to make your child feel better and get healthy again. She is very thorough in her exams and listens to both the parent and child. We have even visited with Dr Kraig a few times over the years and have always had a wonderful experience. My daughter is 5 and also has seen Dr Novy her entire life and she LOVES to visit the office. The waiting room has an ice cream truck and they offer take home coloring pages and stickers upon check out. The staff is always kind and in our 10 years with Children's Oasis have never had a poor experience. I recommend Dr Novy to ALL my new mommy friends, she is the best and our family is so grateful for Children's Oasis. My son has been seeing Dr Novy since he was 2 days old. This doctor's refusal to give a referral to a dermatologist caused our 3 year old grandson to go through a biopsy and several painful treatments. This is because she insisted it was "just" a mosquito bite and would go away. Even after several months of not healing,she still refused to give referral until we did so on our own. It was a wart virus that continued to grow. So much for trusting a "professional"Our mistake was believing in her as a concerned doctor. Dr. Novy is unprofessional, careless, egotistical, and disrespectful. She saw my son multiple times for a chronic rash. She kept passing it off as eczema and told us not to worry about it. As it kept getting worse we asked her for a referral to see a dermatologist. She said and I quote "I've been to a dermatology seminar, so I'm just As qualified as a dermatologist", and refused to let us see any type of specialist. During this discussion she continuously talked over us in a very aggressive manner, which was extremely frustrating and uncomfortable. Needless to say we've switched pediatricians and found out from a specialist that my son didn't have eczema, it was actually an allergic reaction. We never would have known about this if we'd stuck with Dr. Novy. I highly recommend seeing a different pediatrician who is professional, knowledgeable, and caring. Dr.Novy detected what was a very serious disease with my step son from just a well visit. He didn’t have any symptoms or visible signs but she felt something was worth looking into and she was right. I truly thank God for her because if it wasn’t for her we probably would have never found out about the very rare disease until it was too late! Our family loves this office and the staff. They take such good care of our 4 children, one of who has Down syndrome. Very knowledgeable and professional.

Dr. Novy is an incredible doctor. She has been taking care of me and my brother for over a decade. She's the best!

This office is a joke. We have been going to Dr Novy and Dr Kraig for THIRTEEN years!!! We had an outstanding balance due of $90 that I was told we could pay at our next appointment. I then get a voicemail telling me that we have been dismissed from the office after 13 years because I hadn't made the payment yet and that they were cancelling my 1 year old's appointment. Yes, the same appointment that we had agreed to make the $90 payment at. I have over $2,000 on my FLEX card, so the $90 wasn't

Not very helpful. Condensing attitude. Switching doctors. Can't trust her decision. Took my son to the ER because he was still having the same symptoms, after two days of visiting her, after she said all I can do is give him Motrin but the in the ER they definitely ran test and found what was wrong

Dr Novy is great but we stopped going to her because her front office staff were rude and it often seemed like we were interrupting their gossiping sessions when we were just trying to check in. The office manager actually yelled at us when we tried to remedy the situation... Then said she would send an apology, which never happened! 4 stars for Dr Novy, but 0 for her office staff. We don't need this treatment when we are already worried about our kids...

I have a preemie baby and Dr Novy is his pediatrician. She treats him like her own. I highly recommend her and the other dr in her practice.
