My long-time dentist retired so I went to Dr. Laclair and was treated so well I wanted to send them flowers! I went in very nervous, and left there so happy and calm that everything was done with kindness and respect. They took extra time with me and when I needed a filling replaced, I was shocked at how easy and quick the process was. I appreciate their spotless office and that every interaction with every staff member is described as total professionalism and kindness. Dr. Laclair took me on an emergency basis due to a crown which had come off and was very, very sore. He re-tooled the crown and painlessly put it back in place and it has been perfect since! The office staff was very nice and I would definitely go back again. The office is difficult to get in touch with however. I have called a number of times as I have not received information they indicated would be sent to me regarding my appointment and I get an emergency answering service, even during business hours. I needed emergency dental treatment at the height of the COVID19 quarantine but had serious reservations about seeking treatment because of the pandemic. Dr. Laclair and his staff got me in to treatment immediately and took every conceivable safety precaution to protect my health and safety. Once I arrived and witnessed the protocol they were following, all of my concerns disappeared. I received excellent dental treatment and I felt that my health and safety, as well as my dental issues, were of utmost concern to Dr. Laclair and his staff. I am reporting Dr. Scott LaClair to the NY State disciplinary board about the horrific way he treated me, along with his gross unprofessionalism, incompetency & outright mean demeanor. He is a liar and he is unethical. He needs to be investigated. He also slandered an award winning dentist and made a comment to me that was disconcerting & unsettling that made me feel like this could be a discrimination issue. Scott LaClair would be laughed at if he tried to practice in a place like London or LA or NYC. Dr. LaClair's office told me he does cosmetic work, which I was very surprised by because when he looked at my teeth, he thought they were veneers and yelled in my face that they "looked terrible!" That's ironic because the work I had was bonding - not veneers - & they must have looked pretty amazing a dentist mistook them for veneers & thought they were thousands of dollars (Dr. LaClair yelled at me, "You spent thousands of dollars on your teeth and they look terrible!") He apparently has some serious anger issues and I felt extremely uncomfortable around him. I would not recommend.

My experience at Clayton Dental was extremely good! I had a toothache. As I had no dentist in this area, my daughter recommended Clayton Dental. I called and spoke to two very friendly and helpful staff members and was given an appointment to see Dr. Laclair the very next day. I arrived at my appointment and was greeted by a very friendly, courteous, helpful and caring staff and Dr. Laclair was no exception. He explained what he would recommend being done and gave me time to decide if I was in agreement. The procedure on the tooth was done expediently and gently. The people working at the dental office, including, Dr. Laclair were very caring, kind and helpful with everything from the procedure done on my tooth to reviewing my payment options with no judgment of any kind.
