Dr. Rushim Bains

I should have read the reviews before I visited with Dr. Bains. The experiences of others mirror mine. He rushes through exams, does not read patient history before a phone call visit. I realize that office are pushing doctors to see more and more patients but that does not excuse a complete lack of patient care and extreme rudeness when pressed on the matter. Save yourself the time and hassle, find a different doctor.

Dr. Baines saw my 80 year old mother in law after a recent fall.  He did not do a thorough assessment at all. He ordered xrays which showed no fractures. That's where his assessment stopped.  My mom was\is in so much pain!  Even though there was no fracture she definitely had bruising.  My mom currently cannot walk around her place unassisted. However, Dr Bains stated in his assessment that she was full weight bearing which is complete B.S.! So, he sent her home with nothing! No pain meds,  no therapy ordered, and no follow up appointment set or advised. This guy must be oblivious to people in pain. My wife called to have home health PT ordered for an evaluation because my mother in law can hardly walk. However, that's not possible due to Dr Bains initial assessment. Now, after two weeks since he first saw her my wife has been back and forth with his office. All the staff she has spoken with agree that this is so messed up but they can't do anything. She requested a call from him but he's unwilling to do that.  Only his assistant will call. It would be so easy to fix this if Dr Bains adjusted the code he initially gave my mother in law in his first assessment so that Medicare can approve the treatment she needs, but he's unwilling to do that either! Now, he's saying he needs to assess her again to have proper documentation to change the code!  You mean the documentation we would have had if you had properly assessed her the first time!?!? My mother in law is still in so much pain! As I read the other reviews about Dr Bains it is very apparent that this is a common complaint. I don't give many negative reviews, but I do not want anyone else to be in this type of situation stuck with a doctor that couldn't care less. Dr. Baines saw my 80 year Mom after a recent fall. He did not do a thorough assessment. He ordered xrays and because she didn't have any fractures he sent her home. I called to have home health PT ordered for a evaluation because she can hardly walk. He was unwilling after 2 weeks to fix a code so this service would be approved by Medicare. He is now saying he needs to assess her again to have proper documentation to change the code. If he would of taken the time to do a thorough assessment during her initial visit this would not be needed. As I read reviews it is apparent this is a common complaint. Dr. Bains does not take the time to do a thorough exam. He does not seem to care much for his patients.

I can not recommend this doctor. He does not care about his patients.

Hello my doctor there is Dr. Bains. I went in for a physical in around October September. I felt that they did NOT give me the proper physical and the doctors and nurses at Northwest Community including the hospital have led me to believe that I was the crazy one and all times I went in to get help. I felt they were bsing me. Also I was hospitalized in the mental health unit, I do not take any mental health pills anymore or see a therapist because I am under the presumption that I do not need it, while I was hospitalized I threw up in the bathroom. I told one of the nurses that I threw up a little bit of blood, which I thought I did and I accidentally flushed it. When she came, she just shook me off like I was the crazy one and I am not sure if she reported it. Now I have no Health Insurance, and for the last month I have been pooing a lot of blood. I have no clue what to do. Do not have much money and I am 28 years old. The point I am bringing across, they need to take better care of their patients and stop believing other people notes so much about an individual. What if I have cancer? I am not saying I do. NEW PATIENT, He was nice but not to my standards of knowledge. Exams are not fully done and they charge a lot for a half-done job. Spending more time with the patient and understanding his background is my advice.

Dont go to this guy if you have backpain,chronic pain or any kind of medical problem at all for that matter,he'd most likely have a professional,ethical and personal break down when asked to help with applying a band aid!! Even if you walked into his office with a shotgun wound to the chest right after being mauled by a bear, he'd wouldn't do squat for you,except tell you it was all in your mind! I injured my back and wanted a referral to see a spine specialist, now I'm not sure why but he was very reluctant and hesitant about giving me any referrals at all! As if it was inconveniencing him! Most specialist doctors entire practice are based on the referrals of primary care doctors and GP's so I don't know what his apprehension about that was! Secondly he's extremely condescending! When I told him about my back,he remarks "I'm not qualified to diagnose that" but upon our second meeting and telling him that I was experience sleep disturbance and brain fog due to being in pain all the time he remarks "oh that's a depressive symptom,that's a side effect of depression!" Okay if you're not qualified to diagnose a person's back injury just how in blazes are you qualified to diagnosis a person's psychiatric state pal? And then again on our third meeting even more condescension ,after researching a particular condition I found on the New England journal of medicine I again asked for a referral to see a specialist because I felt that that particular condition applied to me,his response was a resoundingly curt "Don't be a Google doctor," I didn't know the New England journal of medicine, an organization where doctors of all fields write and publish medical papers based on years of experience and first hand knowledge for other doctors and us common lowly peasants to see and review freely,was google medicine? The final straw was when I got a little irritated with him and just demanded the referral that's all I needed from I didn't need anything else!!!,he then off-handedly made a comment about "Doctor shopping" buddy boy you can check my records I don't go to the doctor more than once every 6 to 8 months and only for severe reasons at that! so how that is considered "Doctor shopping" or how it is "Doctor shopping" to want to see someone that trump's your own expertise or lack thereof I have no clue! But you are in no way a god among men! And have no right whatsoever to gatekeep a persons well being or to dictate what or how they feel in anyway shape or form! A gatekeeping personality and condescending mentality does not suit a doctor in any fashion, in my opinion this man has a lot of work to do on his bedside manner and how he treats his patients. 0/10 would never recommend.

Not very personal or interested in your medical history at all. My first appointment took less than 15 minutes. He took my vital, asked basic questions and that was it. I haven't had a PCP in a long time and I'm new in the area, but this is not the type of care I was looking for. Would not recommend. In fact, I'm searching for a new PCP.
