Dr. Ronald D Alvarez

Did a robotic laparoscopic hysterectomy soon my wife for endometrial cancer. Said he got it all she woul never have to worry. Did not offer treatments or do any scans for return of cancer. My wife died of endometrial cancer due to Alvarez leaving cancer cells in my wife where he extracted the instruments he used for surgery. My wife died due to his negligence.

Dr. Alvarez is a caring, kind, man. He listens and explains himself well. He is very attentive to the patient. He has been my oncologist for ten years and I am saddened he has left. He has been a blessing in my life. Cancer was a lot less scary with such a wonderful Doctor and staff. God truly put me in the right place.

Dr. Alvarez is a very kind and compassionate doctor, willing to make himself available to our family when my mother-in-law was fighting her battle with ovarian cancer. He went above and beyond what was expected of him in his care and concern for her, and for the constant questions we had for him regarding her care. He was very patient with us and explained everything very thoroughly. Not many doctors will take the time to hand-write a letter to family, but he did, and we are forever grateful.

I am a RN and was referred to him and I would not recommend using him or UAB. I was pleased with him in the office until it come down to having my procedure done a resident came in as they were getting me ready for surgery I made it clear I did not want him taking part in my surgery and let Dr.Alvarez know this..after my procedure I could not feel my left thigh..which was very concerning to me..he said just don't stand to anything hot!! Too much to type here
