Rolando Garcia

During my consult with Dr. Garcia, I presented with 4 herniated discs in my cervical spine (C3-C4, C4-C5, C5-C6, C6-C7) and 2 herniated and collapsed discs in my lumbar spine (L4-L5, L5-S1). Dr. Garcia told me that I am a candidate for cervical and lumbar surgery. Dr. Garcia and I then had a 20 minute conversation to help determine which surgery was our priority. The pain in my lumbar spine was a constant 8 to 10 and the pain in my cervical spine was a constant 4 to 5. Dr. Garcia recommended to go with a lumbar surgery. Dr. Garcia recommended an ActivL ADR at L4-L5 and a fusion at L5-S1. Dr. Garcia said that the ActivL ADR at L4-L5 in combination with fusion at L5-S1 should greatly improve my pain level, and would maintain a much higher level of motion compared to a two level fusion. Dr. Garcia was the only surgeon to recommend an ADR for my collapsed L4-L5 disc. Based on Dr. Garcia’s expertise and experience with the ActivL ADR, I decided that he would be my surgeon. My surgery was February 6, 2019. As he told me, Dr. Garcia was able to give me an ActivL ADR at L4-L5 and a fusion at L5-S1. I followed Dr. Garcia’s post operation instructions exactly. At one year after surgery, I was down from 9 pain medications per day for my lower back to 3 pain medications. The pain level in my lower back went from an 8 to 10 to a 3ish. It is 4 years since I had surgery. I swim 5 to 6 times a week, and I walk 3 to 4 times a week. I am so thankful for Dr. Garcia and his staff (they were great)! Choosing Dr. Garcia for my lumbar surgery was my best decision! Based on the results of my lumbar surgery with Dr. Garcia, I continue to consult with him concerning my cervical condition. For me, Dr. Garcia’s expertise, total approach to spine surgery, and results are exactly what I want in a surgeon. When it is necessary, Dr. Garcia will be the surgeon for my cervical spine. I wholeheartedly recommend Dr. Garcia!

I've had the occasion to visit the Orthopedic Care Center several times to see Dr. Rolando Garcia for my back and neck issues. Dr. Garcia is extremely friendly and knowledgeable about the issues as to my concerns with my lower back and neck issues from a vehicle accident, in which I was rear ended. Dr. Garcia guided me to a fantastic outcome and I am extremely happy with the result. Their entire staff is excellent and caring as well as they prepare you to be seen by the doctors. I was seen right away by the medical staff as prepared me in the exam room. I highly recommend Dr. Garcia and The Orthopedic Care Center and their doctors.

Dr. Garcia and his staff are professional and are very helpful and I would recommend him to my family and friends. For seven months I experienced pain in my right leg and lower back that got progressively worst, and no treatment helped. Going to a chiropractor and physical therapy made it worse, my lower back and leg hurt to the point that it impacted my walking, sitting and driving. My first visit to Dr. Garcia was in March 2020, he reviewed the MRI and XRAYs and explained that I had spinal stenosis as well as a cyst that was pressing on a nerve and that surgery was necessary. Initially I balked at surgery and requested other alternatives, however as the pain worsened, I chose to have the surgery. May 2020 Dr. Garcia performed spinal fusion surgery and removed the cyst. The surgery has helped me immensely and I am able to move around pain free.

Dr Garcia explained matters in simple and easy to comprehend ways. He diagnosed my problem accurately ( disc herniation) and performed the corresponding surgery well. In doing so he exhibited his superb knowledge, reliability and professionalism. I truly reccomend Dr Garcia and his dedicated medical and office team to other patients.

Be prepared for a very slow process. His assistant Celeste is horrific. She definitely must drive his patients away. If you are in pain and need urgent care this is a place to avoid. They move like snails. I did not like that they try to push pain killers on you with basically zero examination. I should have read the reviews prior to going here.

Dr. Garcia’s service was definitely a true professional experience, but unfortunately I can’t say the same about front desk staff, this is my second appointment visit and there is again a complete lack of customer service, rude with attitude while eating in front of the patients. It needs to be addressed!

I saw Dr. Garcia for my 2 level artificial cervical disc replacements. Not only was he knowledgeable but takes his time to explain the procedure thoroughly. I am incredible happy with the outcome and would recommend him to anyone. My only regret is that I did not find Dr. Garcia sooner. I went to 2 prior surgeons that tried to discourage me from doing the artificial disc replacement and wanted me to do the fusion instead. Dr. Garcia repaired a Cervical disk by replacing it with a Mobi-c. The staff in the office were friendly and helpful in any way needed. Dr. Garcia showed his experience and expertise by catching a cancer of the neck and helping me get that fixed first. Later his disk surgery gave me total relief, like a new person. I would recommend him to anyone who needs an orthopaedic surgeon.

For two months I dealt with pain in my left leg and no treatment had any effect. Physical therapy made it worse, my whole leg and foot hurt to the point I could no longer walk or sit or drive. Dr. Rolando Garcia diagnosed me with a massive hernia putting pressure on the nerve root and recommended surgery RIGHT AWAY. In addition, Dr. Garcia discovered an irregularity in my lower back and proceeded to do a bone fusion surgery. Not only did he corrected the issue, he gave me confidence back in my life. Dr. Garcia recently performed a three level cervical disc replacement on me to repair severe disc degeneration, spondylosis, spinal cord compression, facet degeneration and osteophytes. In other words, my neck was a mess. I had put this surgery off as long as I could, because other doctors told me it would have to be fused and I was afraid of the pain that would follow. I awoke from the four hour surgery pain free, which amazed me. My recovery was also pain free. Fifteen years ago, I had three level disc replacement lumbar surgery in Germany, also avoiding fusion. This time I did a lot of research to find the best doctors in the US. Dr. Garcia's name was on a very short list of those orthopedic surgeons in the US, who have been doing cervical and lumbar disc replacement for over 20 years in the US, so I did not go to Germany this time. I look at my X-ray with three new cervical discs and I am amazed he was able to again avoid fusion, preserving my mobility and avoiding pain.

Dr. Rolando Garcia came highly recommended after I did my search and second and third opinions. I went to 5 or 6 different doctors who only treated the symptoms and not the problem. After my visit and consult in which he gave me different options for my problem, I decided to have my surgery with him and everything turned out great. I now have a better quality of life. My wife also had a consult with Dr. Garcia and she was very pleased by how thorough he was an is now contemplating a surgery with him. The Office was reorganized so before Covid hit, yes the lobby was full more doctors long waiting times. During Covid it is very nice, they follow CDC protocols and the lobby normally has 4 people waiting with plenty of social distancing . He has 4 rooms inside with patients so if you are in the lobby that means you need to wait a little longer. He is worth the wait. x-rays are done on location and most meds are also on location. Park in the garage and validate the ticket in.

Horrible! When things don't go well, he gets angry and unprofessional. I had problems after surgery and he wanted no part of it. Was very nice before surgery, but is a Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde!

This Doctor perform lumbar back surgery on me back in 2000. Everything went extremely well. Everything he told me was very accurate. So glad I had the surgery.

Dr. Garcia was very honest with me, and I so appreciated that. Instead of running a "sales job" on me (as so many surgeons can do) he clearly warned me that if I were to have ADR (artificial disc replacement surgery) with him, the disc prosthesis he proposed to use, may not fit given my petite anatomy, and therefore the surgery may convert to a fusion. Being given this clear and honest information enabled me to explore all my options (other discs available in the EU; other procedures)...and ultimately I ended up having just the right procedure that cured my pain 100%. I wasn't able to have the surgery with him in the USA because my USA cover on my global insurance plan had timed out...but I am sure that if I had, we would have had more honest conversations and worked well together to fix my spine problem and have him execute a solution. (He strikes me as a perfectionist). I truly appreciated his ability to communicate clearly and leave me to my options without overselling. Thank you.

I was among the lucky who did not have a long wait, but my experience with Dr. Garcia was AWFUL. I had two issues; back and neck pain. Since the appointment was booked for back pain, he would not discuss my neck DESPITE having taken x-rays of my neck that SAME day. He told me that I needed to book another appointment if I wanted to talk about my neck. I was going on vacation and very much needed some relief. He did not care. Dr. Garcia is the greatest. He saved my life. I had complete disc replacement surgery 12 years ago. I haven’t had one problem and was able to return to doing things I missed. Playing with my kids, sleeping comfortably and functioning with zero pain. I am so grateful and appreciative to Dr. Garcia.

Dr Garcia have a lot of knowledge unfortunately if you want to see him you need to wait few hours . The office is always packed . You will be treated as a number not as a patient. Saw him once but never will go back !!!

Great doctor but HORRIBLE staff. We refer clients there all the time and after turning down one of our clients I can assume that we will never refer one more person there. If he got a new staff, maybe there would be reconsideration.

Dr. Garcia is one of the best back surgeons in the entire country. I spent 16 years virtually bedridden due to faulty artificial discs which were implanted in 2005. In July of 2017 Doctor Garcia removed the faulty artificial discs and did a two level fusion. I can't State strongly enough how this man has changed my life. I can walk again pain free and I look forward to rediscovering life. Dr. Garcia is a wonderful human being, he quite possibly is the most skilled back surgeon in the country.

Dr Garcia is a great surgical physician, he's the one you go to if you want the job done the first time. I didn't witness for my self that he maybe a no nonsense sort of doctor, however if I had his talent I would be just that. Here to help resolve the issues and get back in the game of life called Keep it Moving. I tried to make an appointment. I have no insurance-self paid. The Doctor is charging $500 just for the consultation - no xrays, nothing included. I said: no, thank you. I mean - it is like $1000 an hour or something. really?

Dr. Rolando Garcia was recommended by my PCP. I trusted and knew she would only recommend a doctor highly qualified but with a sincere concern for his patients. Dr. Garcia operated on my spine twice, that shows trust. His qualifications and experience speaks for itself but his patient concern and compassion is just as important and evident. He takes the time to answer all questions and concerns. Dr. Garcia's PA-C, Mallorie Lotycz, not only completes but compliments his team. My results-amazing!

Five doctors failed to help me before I saw Dr. Garcia. I thought my competitive sport life was over. He gave it back to me. Dr. Garcia and Mallorie his PA are both exceptional knowledgeable healthcare professionals. If you have back issues,look no further, don't waste your time. Go see Dr. Garcia.

I had a very good experience with Dr. Garcia. I had no issues getting an appointment, the wait time was shorter than most doctor's offices, and both he and his PA were prompt and professional, while addressing all of my questions and needs.

A friend recommended Dr. Rolando Garcia for my back pain. I got in to see him with very little wait time and went from x-ray to examining room in minutes. Dr. Garcia spent time going over my x-rays, and explaining my condition. This was so important! I?ve often felt like I'd left a doctor?s office with so many questions. Dr Garcia gave me my life back. He did my disc replacement surgery 13 years ago. I walked the same day of surgery and had no back pain.He is the best to see if you have any spinal problems. He is very conservative with his treatments and does not rush into doing surgery. He is very knowledgeable and takes time with each patient and addresses all of your questions and concerns. Dr Garcia goes beyond the call of duty. I have been seeing Dr Garcia for the last 6 years. After seeing many doctors, all for numerous medical reasons Dr Garcia was the only one who found that I had an aneurysm. He is a very through doctor and looks at all aspects of your medical care.. I have been a patient of Dr Garcia for 4 years. He did a wonderful job addressing my back issues and concerns. He took his time going over and explaining my MRI and X rays. His approach in my treatment was conservative and I was very happy to know that Dr Garcia doesn't consider surgery the very first option. First of all, I had to wait three hours to see this doctor which only gave me 10 minutes of his time. Did not listen to anything I was saying or was even interested in what I had to say. Very short and unethical. I would not recommend him to anyone. If you are looking for a doctor that will prescribe medicine right off the bat, then that is your guy. But that is not what medicine or being a doctor is about.
