Incompetent doesn't even begin to describe them. It clearly states you can't abruptly stop these medications suddenly due to health risks. It's been more than 4 days since the medication was due and they still haven't gotten to it. The front desk literally said if he gets to it today he does if not then tomorrow. Don't put your mental health or welfare in their hands. If they can't even get your meds on time what good can they possibly do elsewhere. No wonder suicide rates are so high. Malpractice soon. Never can get a fast appointment. Everytime I go n Dr. Sylva had no idea who I am what meds I take nor will he listen to anything I say. I need off effexor but he raised me to max dose. Now I can't go 2days without feeling it and seizure very often now. It use to be very rare. I'm putting my foot down this next vist and if I'm still ignored and he won't even take time to read my charts but only glances and guesses. Well ill change docs and file a complaint on him. As much as I need to do. I heard he was better doctor when he was younger. Maybe he needs to retire really. Dr Silva is wonderful, a very nice man. However, the staff is absolutely terrible. Im writing this as I am sitting in my car right now in their parking lot waiting on ANOTHER problem to be taken care of. It takes a lot for me to write a review and let me tell you...wow.... this has been a long time coming. I'm in the process of switching Dr's currently. Nothing against Dr. Silva, he is wonderful... the staff has been absolutely terrible nearly every time that I have had the misfortune of dealing with them. If you need a PA or medical record released.... you have to STAY on them for it to get done in a timely manner. I cannot tell you how many times I have went out of my way to make absolutely CERTAIN that everything is in order so that when I get there, it should be smooth sailing. Yet that is never the case. Not one or two times.... EVERYTIME. Everything about the office women just screams LAZY. I may be wrong but there have been multiple times when it seems they have went out of their way to frustrate me or to be difficult and think it's funny. It is very unprofessional. They are closed MUltiplE times during the year without any sort of automated text or call system to make patients aware of this. If you are out of your medicine during this time... GOOD LUCK. The answering service is a joke. I have got through many times.... however there have been just as many (not exaggerating) times in which I have called the.answering service and it sounds as if someone is answering yet not saying anything. Literally... setting the phone off of its hook. I have called and let it ring for a long time and then someone picks up and quickly disconnects. This is not just once... but many times. I want to scream... I know that there are many drug seekers who go to doctors offices... yet not EVERYONE is a drug seeker. It makes me very angry to be treated so poorly and feel as if everytime I walk through the door looks are exchanged like... "here is this difficult woman again." I am not a difficult woman... I am a woman that expects for you to get off ur butt and do your job! I looked up reviews to see how bad it was. And every single piece of this review literally the whole thing. I couldn’t agree more. Been going to his office for a very long time now. I’ve been trying to get them to do my pa for over a week now. They keep sending the wrong paperwork. I tried to tell them. They got mad and told me I was wrong. When I insisted they hung up on me. And now won’t take my calls. I’ve had my insurance company leave the office messages asking to fix their clerical error. Dr. Silva is an excellent psychiatrist and on top of that he really cares for his patients. Thanks Dr. Silva. This has nothing to do with Dr. Silva but his staff has been really bad lately. I have been seeing Dr. Silva for many years and I highly recommend him. Dr. Silva is very compassionate, understanding and he truly listens and cares about his patients. The staff is always friendly and makes me feel welcome.

I have been see you for over 20 years. I absolutely love Pam and you doctor Silva always. But quiet literally your staff has become unreasonable theyve have lied to me about even making an appointment my grandfather always make he tells me when they say something to him you DID NOT. When I tried to make an appoint ment you staff hung up on me while screamingat me with very unprofessional woman saying ugly things and SCREAMING! I didnt get make a appointment you are my scripts because they keep lying about telling to make those appt. There COVID 19 EVERYWHERE im not going up there to sit in a doctor office until this clears! You said make sure i knew when and your people lied to me and refused to make my appointment! S and she very very rude about it like i had done something wrong when i was EXACTLY what i was supposed to do! It very unprofessional!!! So just hanging up not writing my script getting rude then nit taking my calls is consider a business now?????

Great psychiatrist! Just takes awhile to get in.

If Dr Silva choose not to see a patient. That's one thing he had me on clonipin for over a year . And just took them over a miss up. Ihave hipertion . And him just takeing my meds with out no follow up or give me some to wing my self off of them . He acts like he wants someone to have a stroke. And trieded explaining you can't doctor in two or three days . I never received a letter until the25 of last month. If Dr Silva choose not to see a patient. These people will go out of there way to help everyone

I have been a patient at Dr. Silva's office for going on 5 years, and I absolutely could not recommend him more! I'm a resident of Evansville, Indiana (with Medicaid); yet, I still go see Dr. Silva and pay out of pocket to do so, because of the impact he has mad on my mental health and overall well-being. Not only this, but his staff is just as fantastic and courteous! I would highly recommend Dr. Silva to anyone who wants thorough, one-on-one therapy, and a Psychiatrist who truly listens to your needs and respects your wishes. Excellent service.

I've only done a review once before and was for Dr. Silva, whose office I gave each rating 5 stars. Yet since I've experienced going to my appt when needed and when need refills, I call pharmacy to office several times. This time, appt was Tues morn. Pharmacy faxed as silva said front would call in. But didn't and called Wed n Thurs. Dr hadn't filled out yet. Call Again Fri & ans ser. Now at risk of seizure as on 20 yrs of being on this med. So b sick n insane at the least til Mon. (Not 1st x)

I have been a patient of Dr SIlva for over 5 years. He has been treating me for Bi-Polar Disorder, PTSD, Generalized Anxiety and ADHD, Hyperactive. I had these diagnoses prior to seeing Dr Silva and his staff. However, I had never been treated for ADHD, I believed it only affected children, that's when I was diagnosed. I am a non-traditional college student, 40 year old male. I was failing out. Since treatment, I have made the Deans list 2x. and am much more content in life.

I told i him what I had been on and work for 10yrs but he put me back something that i had tried and i told him i had back thoughts on it and did it any ways i just give up and stop going and now i just here if i get up out of bed i guess u can say it's a some what day it been so long that i really had a good day and if i cry it makes me sick with upper respiratory so i cant win i miss my dr that pass away last yr on my birthday on top of it he help me so much and now i see no help

I really like going to c dr.silvia. But the staff is another topic. I've had to wait numerous days without my meds. I even call a week n a half to make sure I get my scripts on time. N still then I have to call back n forth to my pharmacy n to the office multiple days to get them to fax my pharmacy back. N finally I get them filled. Then have been off of the meds for a few days. I even have been at pharmacy when they fax it n saw with my own eyes it being sent n they they still say they didn't receive anything. The way I can it someone isn't doing there job. I have always been treated with respect and kindness by the staff. I have never met with anyone but the doctor, Dr. SILVA himself. I never wait more than 15 minutes and that is usually the longer wait time. Excluding 1 single time and I am understanding and could tell how busy everyone was that particular day. As for Dr. Silva, he listens, explains in great detail of something I may ask about. I know a bit about psychology by not only college, but from my own personal experiences for over half my life and am just 36. I'm always welcome to learning and come out with something new each time. Dr Silva is very nice.... however... I only have 449 characters remaining in this text box and I do not think that is even close to enough to explain how terrible the office staff is. I have never EVER got online and done a review before ... but as I am sitting in my car waiting for them to come back off of the hour and a half lunch I will. Rude Andy hateful staff. If you need a PA for medicine... wow Be ready cause you will not believe the trouble. The very air there says LAZY.

The office of Dr. Silva and Associates is the most comforting and understanding doctors office I have ever been to. Not only are the counselors and Dr. Silva wonderful and caring, but the nurses and receptionists are on their own a wonderful group of women. I would definitely recommend Dr. Silva to my family and friends.

Dr Silva seems to truly care for each of his patients. At first I thought he was skatter brained. Repeating the same questions about general information at back to back appointments. Now I understand the method to his madness. He was listening to me and my responses to compare to future visits. I have been a patient for 5 years and have seen him for medication management every appointment.

I have been extremely pleased with the treatment that I have received from Dr. Silva and have seen him, specifically, each and every time that I've been in his office. The sessions have been somewhat concise but, when needed, I felt like I was given ample time to discuss whatever may be going on with my treatment. He's always answered questions quickly and in a manner that I understood. I am currently a patient and will continue to utilize Dr. Silva in the future.

Patients rarely see Dr. Silva if at all. Usually seen by a social worker. Method of treatment is often adding new med or increasing the dose of existing meds. When you need a new prescription it takes 2-3 days to get it. Office is closed several weeks a year for vacations.
