Robert Shack

Dr Shack was my Doctor years ago he removed serval skin bumps on me many years ago he was very friendly A1doctor. I’m ready to have some more removed sad he is not at Vanderbilt anymore. Where is he?

Has he retired? He was my surgeon as a young adult, fantastic man!

Dr. Shack treated me with the most respect and kindness. He was extremely knowledgable and I would recommend him and his entire nursing staff any day of the week. I visited 3 plastic surgeons in making my decision of who I would trust to complete my breast reduction, and Dr. Shack made that decision really easy with is demeanor.

Dr. Shack treated me with an incredible amount of respect and kindness. I had visited 3 other plastic surgeons before making my decision, and Dr. Shack and his nurse made the decision very easy. My breast reduction went smoothly, and Dr. Shack really took the time to make sure I would be happy with the result long term. Would recommend.

Having Dr. Shack as my cosmetic surgeon was the worst thing that ever happened to me. My reconstructive procedure turned out so poorly and had so many complications due to his negligence I think about suicide daily. After my surgery, I woke up with procedures completely different from what we discussed in our initial consultation. His anesthesiologist, Gloria Gibbs tried to cover for him, which I imagine she has to do often. I also found out that Dr. Shack will also let his medical residents (Heather Rosen, Roop Gil) operate on you without your informed consent. Just know that because he is chairman of the department at Vanderbilt doesn’t mean he is the best surgeon, and has a good skill set in all areas of plastic surgery. Also, just because he is a doctor doesn’t mean he is a good person either. I wish I had gotten multiple opinions before he ruined any chance I had at a normal life.
