Doctor Macdonald and his Phlebotomists / nurse were great each time I have gone. The front desk lady to the left, Christine I think her name is, always has a poor attitude in person and on the phone. She is not very welcoming and kind condescending or makes you think she dislikes her job. Almost enough to make me switch doctors now. Otherwise, good place. * Dr. MacDonald has been my primary doctor for approximately 14 years. He's been a shoulder to cry on, a doctor who doesn't preach or make you feel low, he has the sweetest and most caring bedside manner. I see my specialists only when I have something "funky" going on. Once my specialists get my issues under control, Dr. MacDonald takes over with the after care and writing the scripts (saves money on transportation, missing work, and high copays). He's been caring for me since well before I started going gray and getting wrinkles. * Just received notice he will no longer be practicing medicine for Mercy System in the near future...I'm lost. I cannot imagine seeing a brand new doctor, with all that I have medically wrong, and receiving the same care I always received from Dr. MacDonald. I'm heart-broken. * I find his receptionist, Christina, friendly and very helpful. She's a bit curt and she gets right to point, which is what I like. Filler small talk is not necessary. She's always been right on top of getting referrals completed in a very timely manner as well. She's also very patient, but at the same time, will work her butt off to somehow get a patient in with little notice. I don't know if she'll be leaving as well. If so, that Richmond office will never be the same again.
