Rima Laibow is a crook, a liar, a cheat, a thief, and a lowlife. Only I seem to know that. My name is Amy Herzberg and I was her patient between the ages of 13 and 21. She labeled me autistic when even before I was 13 I put myself aside for everyone else. I am still alive although I am borderline underweight, have to force myself to eat, and have heart palpitations and stomach problems due to years of self abuse. If I was properly diagnosed as a youngster I would have gotten the treatment I needed and I would have never had to go to special education. I was always bright and always motivated. Her labeling me autistic made me feel that it was wrong for me to work and wrong for me to be productive.

My name is Amy Herzberg and I am this close to dying. Rima Laibow is very lucky that it is way past the statute of limitations and I cannot sue her for all she is worth and have her medical license revoked. I am almost 48, have severe stomach problems and have to force myself to eat at all because she did not diagnose me properly. I was never autistic. I care too much about other people to be autistic. I am a published writer who worked in some capacity for almost 36 years. I started working so young because I cared about other people and wanted to prove to the world that I was not garbage.

Rima Laibow is a liar and a thief and a cheat. I was her patient more than 21 years ago and she called me autistic, lazy, crazy, bizarre, and self centered. I am none of those things. I am a published writer for City Voices who works two jobs, lives independently, and knew even as young 12 going on 13 that I was never autistic. I will never forgive her. I forgive a lot of people but not her. I have schizophrenia, bipolar, severe anxiety, and thoughts of suicide. But I was never autistic. My poem "Many a Night" shows no signs of autism at all. It shows worry and concern.

My name is Amy Herzberg and I was Rima Laibow's patient 26 years ago. Again, she is lucky that I am not dead after all she did to me in the 8 years that I was her patient. I still work 2 jobs. I still live independently. She had a lot of nerve putting me down and labeling me autistic when I was the one who was always going out and doing. I just got out of the hospital for the 5th time in a short period of time due to physical and mental anguish caused by years of self abuse. I abused myself for almost 35 years because I knew that I was not autistic. I abused myself for almost 35 years because I felt bad about having a mental illness. I am not garbage. I worked in some capacity for 35 years and after my most recent hospitalization I learned one thing-I won't abuse myself anymore because my life is worth living. I cannot be sick any longer.

Rima Laibow is a crook and a liar and a thief. She is lucky that I am not dead. I am almost 47. She is lucky that I did not sue her for stealing my parents money. She is lucky that it is past the statute of limitations and I cannot sue her as an adult for my failing physical health and my mental anguish being called lazy, crazy, bizarre, and autistic. I am schizophrenic and I hear voices. That is the only thing that is wrong with me. I never lied a day in my life and all she could say was "Bullshit." She and everyone else in that therapy group were the real bullshit artists because they could not be mechanical engineers. They were the real bullshit artists because they whined and complained but could not lift a finger for anyone, not even for themselves. I cannot be a mechanical engineer because of my severe anxiety and because I am too sick to do more than earn 24k so I can get a medicaid hmo to pay for my medications and my emergency hospitalizations. Being misdiagnosed and being called all the things that I was not made me suicidal and self abusive to the point that I am lucky to be alive at all. I am seeing a therapist in the city who understands what it is like to actually have to work for a living and understands the mental anguish that I go through every day. It is not easy to live in the city and see what really goes on in the world.

My name is Amy Herzberg and I was Rima's patient almost 27 years ago. I will never ever forgive her or anyone else who labeled me autistic. I am schizophrenic. I am also beautiful, smart, resourceful and caring. I have a lot of anger and resentment because I worked from the time that I was 12 up while all the other spoiled brats in my therapy group whined and complained about trivial matters such as clothes, boys, school and other things that don't matter in the real world. They were the true autistics that were turned toward themselves. I didn't even care about boys when I was a preteen/teenager. I cared about differently abled men who pulled themselves up from their bootstraps. I associated with plenty of people in my lifetime just because I am a city person who always worked. I bet that none of these spoiled brats have ever heard of Connie Barrington, a semi-professional baseball player who was also a rehab counselor. I worked with his younger brother. The two of them were a product of a family of 16 children and also never rested a day in their life. The two of them knew of several other celebrities just because they were entrepreneurs. I also bet that all of these spoiled brats who never worked a day in their life have ever heard of a man, a real man that I know who traveled around the world and lived in at least three major cities. He probably didn't even get a chance to go to high school and at least went partially through a technical degree. He had to support his family. That is a situation that I just learned about very recently. I suffer from physical and mental anguish because of all that I have been through. At 47 I am between 116-120 at 5'6" which is the low normal because I have to force myself to eat. I will never forgive all of the spoiled brats who made a nothing out of me while I worked for everything I had and abused myself because I felt bad about having a mental illness. The worst part is that it took me until I was 46 to know what my real diagnosis is and always was. Because I have schizophrenia I hear voices but I do not lie. I cannot sleep because of those voices. Because I have schizophrenia I have trouble expressing myself. I hurt every day. Yet I still go to work and function in the city. It is not easy. I will never forgive Rima Laibow for labeling me autistic, taking my parents' money, and making me feel worthless because I was a mentally ill person who actually cared about others.

She’s amazing- holistic. Anyone who is just seeking drugs and numbing shouldn’t see her, and are the types to leave a bad review when she won’t accommodate them with the prescription they’re seeking. She’s a naturopath/homeopath and believes in healing from the inside out through clean nutrition and avoiding heavy metals and pharmaceuticals.

My name is Amy Herzberg. I would not even give Rima Laibow 1 star. She is a thief. I was her patient between the ages of 13 and 21. I was labeled autistic as a youngster. I was never autistic, I just had difficulty socializing. Rima did help me during my first few years as her patient, but once I was 17 she brainwashed my family into thinking that I was worse off then I really was just so she could keep taking my parents' money. I was never school smart, but I did whatever I had to do to survive. I worked in some capacity since I was 12. And yet I was labeled bizarre, lazy and crazy. Most of the people in my therapy group would not be caught dead working and would rather whine than lift a finger for anyone. The best thing I ever did for myself and for my family was leave home when I was 21 and hide out in a shelter in Washington DC just to get away from Rima Laibow. I risked my own life doing it. But that was what I had to do to survive. I couldn't take the abuse anymore. It is 26 years since I was Rima's patient. I found out after being hospitalized 4 times recently that I have schizophrenia. Meanwhile, I work 2 jobs and live independently. I cry myself to sleep almost every night because for years I felt bad about myself having a mental illness. I abused myself physically for 34 years for the same reason. Rima Laibow took a beautiful, smart, thoughtful, industrious, differently abled woman and made her into a depressed person who often does not feel she deserves to live.
