In the process of placing a large bridge, Dr. Gilligan's dropped a crown into the back of my throat which I automatically swallowed. Dr. Gilligan's did not advise me of any possible complications, such as the possibility of aspirating the crown. He quickly replaced a generic crown. When I went for follow-up of the bridge, he did not remember the incident because he did not have it noted in my chart! My bridge has always been problematic because of a large glob of cement under the replacement.
